I strongly dislike how game-ified TH is. Each promotion has more complex gameplay than the average quest. all just to trick you into thinking it is worth spending on.

I do clues, nearly 60k total, 1 Golden title.. These mtx dyes have become more than a slap in the face.. I dont know why jagex refuse to acknowledge the clue community. These items SHOULD have been content for us. they're just taking the piss now.

Yeah 2 weeks into an OSRS Ironman account. it’s slow, it’s very slow, it actually feels like you don’t progress much lol. But the small progress you do, damn that feels rewarding especially on an Ironman. RS3 will die, wether we like it or not. It’s the same veteran players that keep it alive. Ain’t no way RS3 brings in any new players, the gap between a new player and an end game player is huge it’s overwhelming. And I say that as an end game veteran player. OSRS until then, the days of forcing myself to play RS3 just because are over.

I always knew since the release of the Squeal of Fortune that it marked a new era. Once Jagex knows they can cross a line, they will just keep doing it. I’m just happy they’ve left Ironman mode alone so I can play in peace. For now…
except they kinda haven't to some degree. the price increases in 2022 we felt, the bond increase this month makes the 7 bond bank booster 15% more expensive, they're still happy to milk us for everything we're worth on a regular basis while providing subpar service and a dying game.
Fuck RS3 with their keys and lootbox bullshit. I'm watching OSRS Deadmen mode and all the OSRS content creators playing and competing in it. It's hella fun to watch.
I legit thought I missed hearing about an essential necromancy update... 23 seconds into the video I got disappointed hearing its from MTX.. I dislike anything related to MTX that provides an actual boost to your account, obviously with the exclusion of cosmetics since they don't provide any kinds of buffs.. (yet) I still love and enjoy watching your videos, but now I go back to hiding underneath my (iron)rock.
You'd have more luck asking in the Subreddit tbh, or the Official Discord Server! TH-cam comments rarely transcend into something else, only videos can make a difference.
Imp soul in a box is a one time use thing, so you need 1 for each ritual if you were to get the alterations. Feels like a fair buff, doesn't undermine the necromancy skill cape because you can stack it with the cape and get an even bigger buff
I don't mind MTX to certain degree but when they start adding things purely for MTX with the intention to rinse the player base of their money then it pisses me off.
I wish Alt-1 worked on my phone. I struggle with puzzle boxes so much, and the clue scroll tool helps so much that I don't like doing clues without it😭😭

The achievement for doing every ritual once, does it include the Squeal ritualis, or did they just make a mockery of the achievement? Which way did they permanently stain ingame with Squeal?
I have the achievement for doing them all at least once before these 2 were added. For now it looks like you do not need to do the new ones to get it again. Who knows, however, if they decide to make it a requirement later (hopefully only if these or similar items come to something outside of MTX).
So interesting interaction im sure they intended to make even more money with if you use the 99 cape perk with multiply 3 and the imp soul in a box set to multiply 3 you can get double the lost items loot bags since the lost item ritual takes up all slots but trust me... The loot is NOT worth it
"Jagex _does_ need to make money at the end of the day" because hundreds of dollars in bankspace and a reoccurring sub each month as well as other things to spend bonds/runecoins on isn't good enough for them or their investors. I could more understand the "they need to make money" angle if the game were free to play which it's not
Got bored of rituals by the time I hit 88 necromancy. The 85-90 grind is awful and 30k souls to complete the final quest is ridiculous. Hero Pass had a "Complete 100 Rituals" task that I never even started. Hit 120 necromancy about a month after the xp embargo was lifted then had to do ~50 more rituals to unlock the ring. Didn't even bother with the disturbances anymore. Point is, I'm sick of rituals and some lootbox bullshit isn't going to change anything.
Make content to make people want to play come back to rs3 and pay for members? Jagex:No Make MTX items to make lvling skills faster and make players who enjoy MTX drop their money and life savings? Jagex: Where do I sign?
If only there was some kind of way where Jagex could earn money automatically, like on a monthly basis. Surely that would prevent these kinds of MTX, right?
I've been boss pet grinding. I'm grinding krill atm I'm making a decent amount of money for just afking. Doing these boss grinds makes me realize how shit the drops are for these older bosses. Kbd definitely needs an update with drops. Same with chaos ele. Like I killed 4k plus chaos ele and got like 3 corrupt pieces.
MTX is the way of the future, whether we like it or not. Jagex needs to make a profit for the new owners, and short of raising subscription prices/making bonds more expensive MTX is the choice. Remember, no one FORCES you to buy MTX items.

As long as ironman accounts can't get them, I'm all good. They aren't too broken. Also, Necromancy is a super fast skill, esp if you can just buy the inks. This overall seems like a bad value to whale on.
I dont wanna give up my rs3 account for the progress and fun content but I feel im wasting my time on this game. I play both osrs and rs3 at the least but rs3 just appears to be flogging a dead horse and maybe becoming not worth my time. It has so much potential but this gets more and more worrying. Designing TH promos seems to be 50% of dev time lol.

half the time I swear TH has its own Dev team and business plan that only ever changes if nuclear fallout like the heropass debacle rolls through. These are really annoying. New items, new mechanics, for TH of all things. Not a quest or an actual gameplay content update.
Until Jagex allows players the option of blocking treasure hunter entirely, Runescape remains dead to me. It's really too bad, too, since a lot of the upcoming updates look great.

Why would you have a dye be obtained in another way besides it normal content. Let's add boss uniques to Seren Spirits. Let's keep valuable treasure to clue scrolls.

It amazes how many different treasure hunters there are, swear this is like the 30th different one I've seen.
The more 'choices' you have the more likely you will feed the 'need' to try them all. It's a slick marketing technique but it works.
This is why anything outside of ironman will never be taken remotely seriously in RS3
