quick fyi, bone shield works for all styles, so as long as you've got the runes you'll never have to swap to a shield again, even with melee/ranged/mage
A couple other things to keep in mind: 1) Death Skulls hits multiple targets, as does the scythe and soul strike. It also bounces 2 more times and only costs 60% adrenaline with the zuk cape. 2) You want to make sure to use Death Skulls and touch of Death before you activate Living Death, as upon activating it, it takes Death Skulls and ToD off cooldown, so you can use them again. 3) while in Living Death, you want to abuse Finger of Death and Death Skulls as much as possible, as FoD does 1.5x damage (along with 2 necrosis stacks per "auto" attack), and Death Skulls has a 12s cooldown. 4) if you have the Invigorating on your armor, the autos will generate extra adrenaline. (Especially useful during LD, as you build necrosis stacks for FoD and generate adrenaline for DS)
Everyone saying Zuk is easy now but I'm still struggling. I just saw this video right after I logged off after dying to him a couple of times... This boss really is my arch-nemesis :')

Pro tip for the first challenge. Bring a combat dummy mk2, and place it as soon as Zuk drags you. Target the dummy, threads of fate and weapon spec, and 4/5 of the explodey boys should die instantly.
Just letting you know you cancelled your death skulls early on zuk before you phased him (before challenge wave 3) and also against Har-akken. If you move outside the 5 tile range it stops.
5:50 The bone shield review jolted me out of my high level pvm stupor and reminded me that because this is a new skill even basic things I thought everyone knew by now are still relevant for folks who are otherwise prepared to discuss integrated ability and attack concepts
And here i am. Strugeling to even get enough adrenaline to summon a conjour beside the skeleton. I really suck at combat in this game, so much its starting to not be fun anymore.
There's lots of "know it and then you'll benefit" things in this game. Too many. I reckon all you need is some ability logic, something a beginners necro combat guide could teach you in 10-15 minutes and then after an hour of practice you'll be doing so much better. I'll get one out in the near future. As a tip: Your goal shouldn't be too constantly summon all your conjures in combat, the adren cost is too high. Summon them before a fight when you're out of combat as that's when there's 0 adren cost. Occasionally you'll summon conjures during a fight depending on the boss but your regular abilities deal so much more damage.
it's not your fault, this game is designed in such a way where you kinda must predict everything you and the enemy gonna do and be couple steps ahead, you wanna use the basics on auto and the specials manually so that you can decide when you wanna save up adren or not
I put the basic attack on Z and just spam that if I need to gain some extra adren.. Also, you can summon the ghost and zombie for free if you don't have a target.. You can actually gain the benefit from that in combat if you time it right as soon as your current target dies and before you auto-retaliate to get a new target
Living death makes me wish for alternate ults. The one in game boosts necrosis stack gameplay. Another one that doubles your max soul stacks and doubles the soul gain on siphon soul and scythe, and gives the auto attack a soul gaining effect (imagine a 10 souls dump with the rasial weapons), or another one that buffs your conjures would be so much fun.
5:35 on the last challenge phase you can use resonance, devotion(pray the correct styles), then disruption shield. As long as you have 15% adrenaline you're ok(with limitless)
Could you consider doing a new solo bossing tier list including necromancy? I feel like some bosses were made a lot easier with necromancy, particularly kalphite king.
Don't forget: blood siphon heals a bonkers amount of hp. So before fighting zuk, dive into the middle of a group of foes and get all that health back. Even if you take more damage than animate cryptbloom, you have a direct lifesteal ability that can take you from null to full.
you mean before fighting zuk as in before each challenge wave? you shouldnt need to heal as you can just throw on SS during zuk and heal back to full before each challenge wave.
@blairwilliam8791 What I mean is during the trash mob waves you can heal from any large group swarming you. Easiest on the melee ones or any wave you can effectively kite.

Absolutely possible, but has a far lower Defence bonus. It can be buffed by donating Tokkul to the coffer outside the Fight Cauldron entrance for an additional 10% damage reduction (up to 45k Tokkul for the maximum duration of 60 minutes). The obsidian armor does not have a Necromancy helmet currently.
I just did this fight with necro the night before this video dropped and I have to agree with you. Necromancy is proving to be extremely powerful, perhaps even OP. My only precaution is the the 2nd challenge wave relies HEAVILY on necrosis stacks, so be sure to go in with 12.
Thank you so much i really do appriciate the input =) im very much a noob when it comes to combat atleast revolution combat so yeah XD but yeah thanks again@@JoshuuaLee
I did zuk for my first time a few days ago! Im honestly burning way more food during some of the normal mob waves, and i took so much damage from haraken... zuk himself was surprisingly easy though. Only took me 2 attempts. But I had a yak full of sara flasks, and only ended with 2 and a half left, lol.
My biggest issue is Adrenaline management.. Obviously I'm a revo user.. so I find it very difficult to time my barricade ability perfectly for the 3rd challenge.. I honestly think my best bet would be to do livid farm and get that sheild ability .. use that and resonance followed by just praying with devotion .. I refuse to manually manage minion's .. much prefer that be automatic.
TzKal-Zuk: The unworthy will burn. World Guardian: Like... you? EDIT: Drink super restores while affected by the "Searing Pain" debuff? *NO!* You move 15 squares to get rid of the debuff, and *THEN* drink your super restores! You're just wasting them otherwise! 🤣
My meta is the tank armor I use the death mark thread of fate and volley of soul all target get the death mark and will die when their health go lower 20%. While wearing tank armor and deflecting most of the damage
Its "easier" in the sense that you've done hardmode enough times to no food and know all of the mechanic's already which is the biggest misunderstanding because there is over 30+ things to already know.
Nec is absurd at Zuk. I was very close to killing Haraken without him even ducking once with t90s and 110 nec. I'm sure it's possible with some practice.
Bro I can't get passed 45 seconds in this fight or any other boss 😢 I don't know what crack you guys pot up with before a fight but I'd gladly pay for a whif
If you are sporting the T95s, you can EOF the tier70 weapon for an extra spec that only costs 25% adrenaline. You can also use Bloat for the threshold igneous. On HM mode, you could probably just one hit the stone with either spec easily. You’d probably want DS or Res to have finished cooling down though. Also, putrid zombie in command form does excellent AOE if it spawns on the proper tile around enemies
Right? It has launched with pretty much the entire tool kit from every other skill which all take expensive upgrades (like gchain etc), it's crazy. I just hope they don't nerf it into the ground before I get a chance to max it out and try to get good with the high level gear, it has me so keen to improve at pvm

How many Necromancy Runes of each would you recommend that i make just in general like keep 50k of each in the bank or?
2k of each should last you long enough lol
I bought 10k of each but I think a couple thousand would be enough
Thank you so much i really do appriciate the input =) im very much a noob when it comes to combat atleast revolution combat so yeah XD but yeah thanks again@@JoshuuaLee
Quick reminder: bone shield works with every style as long as you have the runes for it. (Just used reso with my botlg and my braincells went poof!)
this is what i was waiting for
A more complete guide with necromancy would be amazing. Which do you think is easier to get your first stone with, this or mage?
Also, what exactly counts as a threshold in necro for the ranger? The distinction is fuzzy with this style.
Sugestion for a goofy video: Beat the best boss you can with a melee/magic/ranged main hand combat style + necromancer lantern.
Keeping this one on the ideas list 🙏🏻
My biggest issue is Adrenaline management.. Obviously I'm a revo user.. so I find it very difficult to time my barricade ability perfectly for the 3rd challenge.. I honestly think my best bet would be to do livid farm and get that sheild ability .. use that and resonance followed by just praying with devotion .. I refuse to manually manage minion's .. much prefer that be automatic.
Any easier? All you do is surge and run in a circle for the actual zuk fight it is really quite easy
a spell/incantation that act like a shield for a long time so dont need to switch to a shield??? that is POG! (not started necro yet)
Only problem i forsee is needing adrene but not being able to get it up since necro sucks so bad at adrene building. Its incredibly strong though
Har aken is easy to one cycle using t90 mage weapons using sunshine. You don’t need an fsoa rotation.
My meta is the tank armor I use the death mark thread of fate and volley of soul all target get the death mark and will die when their health go lower 20%. While wearing tank armor and deflecting most of the damage
I imagine the 30k death mark is strong.
The t70-90 weapon spec is also a stun.
It's confirmed that treads of fate will be buffed. I will wait the buff to use try zuk
ive seen people do 9k damage with Threads of Fate but 6 time so far ive only done 2k damage with it.
What level do you recommend we attempt zuk at? You reckon its doable at 84 or push to 90 first?
Doable at 84, but I would push to 90 for the weapons first if you can. The persistent rage relic power is amazing for Zuk btw
Would be interesting to see necro with soloing vorago and raids
I was waiting to do hard mode because I figured necro would make it easier. Seems like that is the case. What armor and weapon perks are you using?
Its "easier" in the sense that you've done hardmode enough times to no food and know all of the mechanic's already which is the biggest misunderstanding because there is over 30+ things to already know.
Nec is absurd at Zuk. I was very close to killing Haraken without him even ducking once with t90s and 110 nec. I'm sure it's possible with some practice.
Bro I can't get passed 45 seconds in this fight or any other boss 😢 I don't know what crack you guys pot up with before a fight but I'd gladly pay for a whif
what cape do you get after doing zuk with necro?
All you get is an Igneous Stone, which you use on the Fight Kiln capes to upgrade them. Combat style doesn't matter at Zuk, only Kiln.
Came here for the revo bar, no revo bar :c
i would say the guide helped, but i don't understand how to deal with zuk at all no matter how much i watch it good guide though either way
If you are sporting the T95s, you can EOF the tier70 weapon for an extra spec that only costs 25% adrenaline.
You can also use Bloat for the threshold igneous.
On HM mode, you could probably just one hit the stone with either spec easily. You’d probably want DS or Res to have finished cooling down though.
Also, putrid zombie in command form does excellent AOE if it spawns on the proper tile around enemies
the weapon spec stuns as well
Protoxxx 😃
Hi :)
ty for first zuk kill
What made rs so Unique back pre eoc is that they didn’t follow every other mmorpg… jagex fucked up with eoc and turning it into this
Ah this is normal mode zuk, I already found it easy. What about Hard mode?
I don't play rs any more, but necro looks extremely over powered with some of its abilities
Right? It has launched with pretty much the entire tool kit from every other skill which all take expensive upgrades (like gchain etc), it's crazy. I just hope they don't nerf it into the ground before I get a chance to max it out and try to get good with the high level gear, it has me so keen to improve at pvm
