This band changed my life forever. I don’t mean that in half assed music geek type of way. They played an integral role in my formative years. Dealing with the trappings of middle and high school bullies, not fitting in etc. This band made me feel not alone, capable, and part of a crew. This band helped me through addiction. Seeing Billies Iheart incident inspired me in a way beyond description. I remember being 8 when American Idiot came blasting through these skater kids stereo up the block from me . I had just moved to an upper class neighborhood, had no friends. They were all older than me, but I knew I loved the music they were listening to. As much as I love the classic dookie / kerplunk/ insomniac sound. I’m blessed to have been introduced to them in 2004. American Idiot is a landmark album, and seeing that they are not wavering from their attitude, IS as punk rock as it gets. Forget the haters. I love this band and always will. Can’t wait for the album.
I’m shocked how great all the new songs sound, sounds like some of their older material and it’s a bit more “ aggressive” sounding which I Love, definitely getting this album! 🤘🤘
Right, but something about this new album feels special. All three of the singles have been so good. I haven't enjoyed a new Green Day album this much since American Idiot. Really feels like a return to Nimrod/ Warning-era Green Day imo.
@mikedavis8008 I don't really acknowledge Father of All tbh. lol Yet, I still respect them for experimenting, even if I didn't appreciate all the results from said experimentations. For me Green Day has always been around, even if their results weren't our favorites, so for me this is more of an evolved return to form.
I have to say. Green Day have been doing a lot of interviews. This is the first that it seems like someone who is maybe not the biggest fan of Green Day actually prepared for the interview. Asked amazing questions. Very impressed.
It WAS!! I DO wish that Tre' & Mike had been chattier, but Billie naturally does 2/3 the talking, so Tre' & Mike only get 1/6 of the total time each - LOL!! Still - a really good, clear, & intelligent interview from both the interviewer & the interviewees!! It's always good to see the boys & get to "know" them a little better ("catch up" with them) & this inerveiw DID that well. Peace!!
Green Day played last month for the Grey Cup half-time show (The Canadian equivalent of the Super Bowl for Canadian football) And they were FANTASTIC!!!
I watched the game & turned up my T.V. as loud as possible when they came out - could not have been happier. MY favorite band of the last 30 some years. I'll ALWAYS be partial to The Who, but they were around long B4 Green Day. But out of all the bands since Green Day started, I have enjoyed THEM the MOST!! It was a Gr8 experience for ALL of Canada to see & hear the BEST band play OUR half-time show!! My thanks to whoever put THAT together!! They should get a medal for it!! Lastly, the game WAS really good, but I'm glad I didn't bet anyone money on it because I would have LOST!! -LOL!!
💯 Better than any Super Bowl halftime show I've ever seen! If I were them though, I couldn't have resisted learning the parody lyrics Weird Al did for American Idiot called Canadian Idiot, lol!
I can't fuckin believe American Idiot is turning 20 years old soon. That was my favorite album of all time when I was a kid. Still one of my favorites, it's still great. Saviors is sounding pretty good, I'm stoked to hear it when it drops
I'd love to see a video of them learning and practicing a new song that they just learned that day. You'd think someone would've made a documentary by now, that includes a scene like that. Obviously, they would wait and release such documentary, only after the song they were practicing in it was officially released.
Amazing interview! I don’t know if the interviewer really enjoys Green Day, but she sure seemed like she did as she knew her stuff. Great questions too! Thanks for this :)
This was a brilliant interview! 🎉🎉 Wonderfully conducted, she had a interviewing great style. 'SAVIORS' is an incredible album. 💟 My favorite part is probably 5:24... Billie just nailed it right on the head! Yeah, he's successful now but he still has his eye on the notion and issues. It's the truth! How things were for my mom are totally different for me, despite us sort of wanting the same things, or achieving similar goals. The American Dream...tsk, it's harder and frustrating, despite putting forth all that effort. I still appreciate that awareness in their lyrics.
New record seems to be what I have loved from Green Day since I became a fan 25 years ago: no flashy experiments, no conceptual albums, no emo stuff, no trilogy full of filler, lol (there is good material in those albums too of course). But this new album feels like the provervial "return to form" after the mega experimental Father of all... and all of the hits and misses in the last 15 years.
me and a bunch of friends just happened to have a 3 day long burn out party about a week after "dookie" dropped, that cd was on repeat, we had plenty of weed and stole a bunch of beer from the local golf club that I later lived and worked at. awsome fn times, the 90s were magic!
I know, huh? AND he's perfectly fine with the current administration's policy of allowing 50-year-old biological men to join young girls' swimming teams, into their locker rooms...
Hell yes Miley you are so lucky! Also it's good to see some interesting questions being asked in these interviews. Can't wait to catch them here in Australia in 2025!
Bruh just because their last albums were unpopular doesn't mean they suddenly stopped filling stadiums. They absolutely fill out stadiums multiple times during their tour, because they only play a greatest hits set list anyway. They just happen to like playing small venues and post those on social media
The lady who made the comment about time of your life part was cringe, the interviewer's reaction made me laugh like "yes i see what you did there and i wish you hadn't"
It's the the 14th. The band's debut album is 39/Smooth. 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours is a compilation album which combines the 39/Smooth LP with Slappy and 1,000 Hours. 1,000 Hours and Slappy are EP's, not LP's.

They've had a few misfires though and none of their albums have made this much of a splash since 21st Century Breakdown

@Nova-fh2et dude come on rev radio was fantastic.
@@ChrisBrissie I thought RevRad was pretty forgettable, tbh. I also didn't care for the production on that record.
"Dilemma", 3rd single from Saviors is a Banger!
“I get nervous putting on my socks!”
Same hahaha
Especially when you don’t realize that you just put one on inside out… then your whole day is pretty much setup for failure 💀
SAME TRE SAME
This lady asked great questions. Excellent interview!
I'm so happy for Green Day ❤
I love that band ❤
They are the best punk rock band ever❤
I Love You Guys So Much ❤❤❤❤
Keep up the good work ❤
Well... Can't wait for the CD album of Savior coming!😮

Rock On Green Day 💚🤘🎸💓💗💞💖💝💘💕
Finally a good interview with the boys!

Excellent interview. Loving the new Green Day songs so far. Can't wait for the album! 🤘🔥
Love when they are actually serious
Tre cool is like the scary principle at the high school. Love Green Day ! Forever ! Love from Sarawak !
Legends!
Green Day played last month for the Grey Cup half-time show (The Canadian equivalent of the Super Bowl for Canadian football)
And they were FANTASTIC!!!
Oh yes they were !
I know it’s tough to compare both events, but, for me, Green Day is a better choice than some 2000’s pop star has been.
And Usher’s gonna play for the Super Bowl right? Of course. Insert Iheart radio 2012 Everyone!

@shannonschaerer1010 I lost $20 lol
my boys are back❤
Good interview. 👍
Much appreciated, and thanks for watching!

That's the album got me into green day and I was about 10-11 years now I'm 31
❤

Glad you enjoyed it!
Yay, come to Perth, Oz!
OMG YES PLEASE😭😭

My favourite Band that had me gotten Covid June 2022 Marley Park ❤️🩹🖤❤️🔥🤘🏼

The man that never ages can’t believe he in his 50s
I know, huh? AND he's perfectly fine with the current administration's policy of allowing

Gen X never gets old... we get better! Don't tell that to my back. lol!! He looks like he hasn't aged at all.
comeback? What comeback? They’ve been playing since the 80’s and typically have 4 years between albums.
They never left. The news sucks.
PLS COME TO PERTH😭🤘🏻
does anyone else notice the camera shaking during the interview?
Well done Green day as well as several other bands for coming back blink 182 and the Rolling Stones included
Hell yes Miley you are so lucky! Also it's good to see some interesting questions being asked in these interviews. Can't wait to catch them here in Australia in 2025!
🇺🇸💖 From America🇺🇸💖 Green Day is the Best Punk band in my books🇺🇸💖 I love you 💖 Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool n Mike Dirnt😁😎💖🇺🇸🎄🎁🎸🎤👹😘😘😘🇺🇸💖🤗🤗🤗

U GUYS LOOK PHENOMENAL... U drinking celery? ;) I LOVE YOU. AMAZING STYLE for ALL; very ARTICULATE interview!
They’ll be filling stadiums again soon.

Billie Joe looks really good.
Every song from Saviors that I've heard so far are much better than anything since RevRad!
COMEBACK?!?!?! Mainstream Hasn't a clue LOL
Yes little buddy comeback
Have you heard the reception to their last record? This is a comeback
Comeback?
You should see the houses they live in after they talk about the American dream.
Love the cringe "ohhh i see what you did there"
What was "cringe" about that?
The lady who made the comment about time of your life part was cringe, the interviewer's reaction made me laugh like "yes i see what you did there and i wish you hadn't"
They never went anywhere
this will be the 16th album smoth out slappy hours is 3 in one its not number 14
1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours is a compilation album, so Saviors will be nr.14
It's the the 14th. The band's debut album is 39/Smooth. 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours is a compilation album which combines the 39/Smooth LP with Slappy and 1,000 Hours. 1,000 Hours and Slappy are EP's, not LP's.
@@WoahLookAtThatFreak1039 is also considered their first album, it's just an updated first album. 39 was never released on CD.
American nightmare. Dude, fix your collar. It's driving everyone nuts!
Literally only you cares about his collar
Yay, Billie Woke Armstrong, yayyy!
