I settled in a small town in a northern state because life is cheap there. RM3,000 is more than enough. City life in Malaysia is expensive. Most small towns in Malaysia have good facilities too. The difference is you can drive around a town in 15 minutes. What you can't get you can do online shopping. Anyway I bought 2 houses because it's much cheaper than renting a place.

I think you should trying watching some TH-cam vid teaching simple words, first you should know some words tht you use in daily life after tht you could get used to the language since malay is an easy language to learn and even if you like don't understand tht much just speak in English most of us here are multilingual who knows they might know your language too.

For dependent visa we cannot work here.. Because I also tried .. atleast we should know the local languages to search for jobs..mostly all places differ from rent with both inside and outside the city.it depends on where u r taking condominium..😊
