I've seen a lot of prehistoric board games, but nothing beats Neanderthal by Phil Eklund.

Are moduals expansions or do they come normally in the game?
they all come with the main game. no expansions (yet anyway)

@49:19 You made a wrong assumption: The symbol of the stone on a round background pictured on the pickaxe means you need a sharpened flint (which you need one stone to craft in the first place) plus one wood ...

Hey rahdo . How is the replayability of this game?
i'm not always the best person to ask as i usually only get a couple of plays before i move on to the next game. iirc it came with a bunch of different missions, and even within a given one things woul dhave a tendency to play out differently based on the order of the cards. but tbh you're probably better asking here: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/300531/paleo/forums/0 you'll get a much more informed response there! :)

Isn't "town" a bit anachronistic for a game named Paleo?

So, from what I am seeing on this game, it is fun to play for the first time when you don't know what the cards contains but... I don't see much of an issue of playing it after knowing what they have. I mean, you loose the surprise element, sure, but is that too different from any other board game? I am curious because it seems to be a point of discussion, I mean you were on the fence about showing some cards on this video as if that would ruin the experience, and I have seen discussions about replayability on the BGG, and in general the discussions where positive but not because people argued this wasn't a problem, but by arguing the game has a lot of modules so it will take you a while to see it all.
So, if you spoiled to me all the cards in the game, let's be real... would that affect my experience too negatively? what do you think?
i'm not sure why the game would lack replayability. the deck is shuffled up and the gameplay comes from dealing with the unprediactable order of events. the first time you play it's going to be an adventure of discover because you have NO idea what's coming, but further plays becomes more strategicially rich because do you do know what's coming and you know what you need to prepare for, but you donj't know when it's coming :)
