The amount of pain I just felt when the intro showed a monotype Fighting run, I barely managed to finish my own damn run of that type not too long ago. Okidogi carried the entire team on his back and then some, super tanky and could heal himself with Drain Punch Egg move

I just finished my first Mono-Type. I want to do them in order so I started on normal.
I had max luck, with the Partner Eevee, with Egg Moves. Two pokemon with Pickup. So by the end I had a normal terrastilized Eevee with 3 or 4 Silk Scarves, Max Power Veevee Volley(?), Main Ability Adaptability, Passive ability Simple w/ Falinks' signature move. Sharply Boosting all stats. + Zippy Zap, sharply raising Evasion each time I used it-

Did a mono water run, got to 190. GMax Drednaw was my savior for it
Tbh you could've picked torchic, the game just won't let you use it until its a combusken because it gains fighting type after evolving once
You could've made a fusion of 2 bug type pokemons and have it not be a bug type result, per say fighting and flying type fusion of heracross and butterfree
I've done mono types of every type, only electric normal fire and grass haven't cleared as of yet

So if you unlock the passive and low the cost of a Pokemon using candies, do you unlock it forever or just one run? Because I got a lot of candies for mudkip and I've been thinking of reducing its cost and unlocking its passive

Weird question out there but the reason it exist is a more natural immersive with the mon looking like a cube mob in minecraft you get it whereas pixelmon is recent looking mon in a cube game it doesn't feel immersive

does anyone know why he’s using monotypes but is using a flamigo that has two types?
He's just doing a "single type" challenge meaning every pokemon shares a type
monotype team, so every mon has to share a type, in this case fighting
That's not what he means by mono type
