8:47 as a manga reader, that scene and the scene that Hinata forgot his place and ran to the court for spiking drills, hit so hard in the manga. Like, my hear was crushed. I think the manga did those scenes more justice than the anime did. I'm actually pretty happy that you got how shitty it must've felt for Hinata...
i didn't read the manga but i really felt how hinata felt he was so awkward and i kinda felt how hinata did cause i wasn't able to practice with my team when ever they did drills i was trying to practice with them being that odd one out but i think the anime did really good to show this atleast in my opinion
I honestly thought you'd understand where the coaches or even some of the older players were comin from a bit more it always kind of surprises me when ppl are shocked Hinata didnt get invited to a camp the writers throw it in out faces every season one way or another but the ppl or players with IQ for the sport Oikawa grandpa Ukai Coach Washijou Ushiwaka etc all call Hinata a "sucky" or "crappy" player bcuz outside of spiking he doesnt know much about the sport hence why he always gets all excited and giddy by the simplest of techniques bcuz he missed out on learning the basics or even being a ball boy earlier on which is also why Kageyama was mad when Hinata wanted to upgrade his attacks instead of rounding out his game more ......hes not that great of a player at this point atleast and if they let this kid just show up and play bcuz he thinks he deserves to every player would start doing that but instead of just sending him home like he probably should have he gave him this amazing experience to literally watch and see all these other high level players and see how much work his game really needs especially being a short as he is it would be even hard to fight against that natural weakness if the rest of your game is also lacking my ridiculous rant aside i thought they did this arc so well and in short i think they used a great way to reveal his weaknesses to him a player as passionate as he is can just get swept up in the game being removed from that and forced to see everything from a different perspective literally even lolol can do so much more for a player like that sometimes trust me it hit me hard to especially when i first read it but it all makes a ton of sense really they threw it now and than about how crappy his overall game is but great reaction as usual but love how this show has made ppl see volleyball in such a different way like you care about the characters and are kind o biased but as far as the aport goes this makes senseeeee dammittttt lol
This arc is really heartbreaking and really makes you feel for Hinata, but the payback is really satisfying! Also, you're really sharp, you got the main purposes of this arc right!
@@kewpieGC lmao literally no spoilers there. Everyone knows everything in haikyuu has a meaning. If hinata is going through this now it's definitely gonna come back later as pay off
As an active Manga reader, this hurts too much when I read it back then. But the payback was so worth it. Can’t wait for *some scenes* to be finally animated. *I LITERALLY SCREAMED* at those when I read them.
This hit me with the feels.... 😿 with Hinata struggling to find his purpose on how to improve. This arc is so good!! It will never disappoint!!!! But i miss my boi Tendo, Miracle boi!!!!!!! Don’t underestimate the ball boy!!
This is like a whole year and a half late, but I just wanna say I'm so glad you get where Hinata's coming from. It's definitely reckless to crash your way into a training camp like that and his methods were not the best (or smartest) by any stretch, but I hate it when people think he's simply being selfish and not thinking about his team enough. Volleyball is a team sport, but he's also his own athlete. He can't just stunt his personal growth for a team he's literally only gonna play with for 3 years. As much as we hope the team could stay together forever, they will all graduate and move on someday. Hinata being worried about getting left behind especially when his peers continue to grow is very real and valid, but most other reactors I've seen only think about the situation (as well as that one fight in season 2) from the point of view of someone who wants Karasuno to keep winning. However, with the introduction of the All-Japan Youth Training Camp, and thru characters like Ushiwaka and Oikawa promising to beat Hinata/Kageyama someday, we can tell this isn't your typical trope where life ends after high school. Sorry for the rant, but I'm just really happy someone finally gets it.
I found your stuff pretty recently and damn i love your passion for this stuff. Haikyu is my all time favourite and im glad you enjoy it too keep it up!
Thank you for being so rational whenever you react! You got the point of this whole arc. It annoys me when people hate on Hinata, but at the same time I do agree that he lacks many fundamental skills in volleyball, despite being physically strong and agile. A lot of people got annoyed that he wasn't allowed to join in, so I really like how you saw this from both perspectives!
When I was watching this season, I did not catch the moment at 4:07 where the ball boys says, "He's getting yelled at more that us". Now watching your reaction I remembered Tsutomu Goshiki, the next ace also being yelled at a lot. The expetacions of coach Washijō for Hinata must be quiet high. Also the roots like Daichi in his first year, was really well done.
just look at the ballboys IRL at Tennis... these boys run like the're about to get whiped.... they take it SUPER serious just to get the tennis ball. hinata needs to get to the same level^^
Aww man i was the same watching him not be able to play in front of Ushiwaka and Tendou was like getting second hand embarrassment for him. I was kinda pissed at him to start with but now I'm like dang the boy putting his pride aside and sticking it out rather than deciding he's better than being a ball boy and leaving. I agree with you he could get so much out of being a ball boy! Noticing where the ball is going..getting in good receiving position...hope he takes something from that! Loved seeing Tendou again hahaha and that double rolling thunder 😂😂 and potato Suga made me laugh so much hahahah
The demon coach is so smart making him the ball boy because shoyo never see the defense he always up front running around he never see the whole court like he should and he need to learn how to receive I fuck with the coach for that
Oml why can’t people just appreciate Hinata’s capability and hard work and allow him to be able to enhance and control his movements?! Why are they so stubborn when it comes to Hinata?
You should watch OVA episodes of 4 season( 1 episode "Land vs. Air" and 2 episode "Path of the Ball") . It's about qualification matches of Nekoma, and their attempt to get to the National tournament. It's intresting part of manga. It would be a loss if you exclude this two episodes of anime. And you could watch season 1 OVA too. It's 2 episodes about joining the team Nekoma by Lev(tall guy who was compiting with Hinata during the training camp). You will not regret. With respect, your spectator.
The Ball Boy Arc!! It’s both inspiring and heart breaking at the same time. The kiddo’s (Hinata, Kags, and Tsukki) all get new skills and its great. This Arc hits hard but it’s still dope. Also like others have said HIT THE OVAs!!! Fukorodani and Nekoma are playing for their nationals ticket!! More of our favorite squads!!
I think it’s easy to forget about Hinata’s struggles in this arc and the last because he has his amazing stamina and ability to jump, but watching him break through that and really stop looking at the ball in that primal way he always used to is so amazing
bro everytime I watch lax react to this episodes of haikyuu then hearing his opinion, I'm always impressed by how sharp he is the heck. Im starting to think that he's reading the manga ngl hahaha.
No views baby! Came here looking for your reaction, never disappoints. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this series, by far, my favorite anime👍🏽😁
Heyyy did ya notice where hinata is talking to himself finding the solution? There's this part you can hear two voices? Am i the only one who thinks it's the voice of little giant? Back then? The same situation from the scene where saeko nesan saw the little giant near the locker scene
Spoiler Coach Washijo (Shiratorizawa Coach) means it, he won't let Hinata participate in the practice and also there's a reason why he only yells at Hinata out of all the ball boys, this arc is really depressing but in the end it'll be satisfying. This is definitely a season for Hinata and Kageyama. Maybe next episode they'll show Tokyo's Youth Training Camp.
This episode is like the episodes from Season 2 where they don't want Hinata to change -basically holding him back- and just listen to Kageyama but he push through it and learned to be more effective in mid-air battles like block wipe, feints and rebounds especially improving their quick attack.
the first part of season4 is really damn painful to watch.. whenever i rewatch haikyuu, i always skip this part bc i just couldn't take it, even though i already know that what hinata's going through here will have a very positive effect in their next matches.
@Kirtan PatelI agree with you Spoilers I always wanted a time skip with haikyuu and after that time skip furudate sensei hasn't disappointed since then:) Now I'm just waiting for noya, lev, kuro and akasi Do you think they'll show an Olympics arc or make a division 1 arc?
I actually really like the direction Furudate-sensei went with! I know it's kind of frustrating when you can't see your faves during the entirety of their 3 years, but it's a good way to avoid getting repetitive! Also, Hinata's development and the latest match are amazing, I'm so hyped!
Spoilers.... I am not as angry with the time skip than how the tournament ended, we don't even know who won, Hinata getting sick was really abrupt and losing because of it left a really bad taste. It's not that I hate it but I was a bit disappointed to not see all the characters together, I am liking the current arc but I'd have liked it to come a little further down the line.
I really don't get how Hinata didn't get invited to this camp. At first, I reasoned it out as Hinata being a below-average player with a lot of potential and fancy tricks up his sleeves but overall he's not really a stable player so not being invited is reasonable. But then I saw the 2-meter guy and the new dateko setter... those two are practically noobs and has lower skills than Hinata and the only thing they have over Hinata is that they're fucking tall. Honestly, I think that the coach is just projecting his own failures on Hinata which is really unprofessional, immature and utterly bias of him.
I'm glad we got to see more Tendo, he was great in season 3 as a new character.
I loved tendo he's my favorite out of shiratowizava (sry don't know how to write the school's name)
