God I hope stalker 2 is just as atmospheric, seeing you creep around scavenging is great. That tenseness that comes with being vulnerable with shots hitting all over the map. I'm a big fan of the magazine mod where you have to load your mags similar to tarkov, same with the removal of the ammo counter.
6:46 I feel the same. When money/weapons/medicin/whatever is thrown at me in a game I quickly become bored. I like the struggle, that things takes time. However, I don't mind the low weight limit - unless its unrealistically low.
I love watching and playing Ironman. For me, now it's the only way to play Stalker. The tension is so much higher and it's way more fair and fun than games like Tarkov where you get headshotted and lose everything. Loving this playthrough so far!
A cautious Stalker is a living Stalker. Being meticulous keeps you alive and it's a big part of the fun for me. The weather inconsistency across saves is really annoying. I wouldn't go into a risky area in the rain so it sucks when you reload and it surprises you.

You can save and load all you want in ironman. And you can use guns with low condition just fine, old rifles that can kill in one shot are the best, less affected by malfunctions, like Mosin and Kar98K.
I'm using your playthrough as a tutorial for EFP. I'm struggling with repair, hunger, and identifying whos the enemy. I have to save, run up to them, and see..... It sucks.. But your videos helps a lot so thanks for that!
You couldn't sell those guns, because their parts were probably almost broken. It is part of the Weapon parts overhaul, that all parts and the overall weapon condition (which is considered "cleanliness" in WPO) have to be over certain condition to be able to sell. I think you can modify that value in mod configuration menu
I don't feel like it was cheesy to kill the mercenarys at their base. It's the invictus challenge, it doesn't matter if you did things in the best possible way, if you run into an anomaly and die, it's over. So I don't blame you for getting a couple silent kills.
Agree man, it's been a blast playing SoC, killing bandits and militaries... until you've reached the weight limit. Always tried to change the setting but always crashing the game everytime

I'm playing the game in 1080p on a 1080p display so I'm not sure upping the resolution will help or even is possible (I might be wrong). Bit rate is already at 60MB/s which is the max. The videos actually look great when exported, I think the youtube compression really screws me over, any tips about that are more than welcome!
My game feels empty stalker-wise even though I have the population set to 1. For example when I open the PDA to see the stalker ranking I am around 600. when I start a new game and you are about 1000. How can I increase the stalker count to thousands?
Hmm I'm not too sure actually... When you change the population setting you need a couple game days (and maybe some fast traveling / zones switching) for it to really kick in. Also some areas feels empty and some busy, that's buy design and independent of your stalker population number. Time of day plays a big role too etc.. If anybody has more thoughts on that let us know!
Right under the population slider, you could set your A-life tot partial, or semi, or whatever it's called. By default it's full simulation, but it basically means that stalkers get killed A LOT while off screen and will have a harder time surviving map change. Like the population factor, it will take some time before you actually notice any significant differences.
I always play loner generally, been traumatized by them too many times :D Also they're the faction that managed to kill me my last ironman run. I guess I tend to hold grudges :)

I play Anomaly very similarly to you, so I absolutely am finding this enjoyable so far. Love the grinding and slowly accruing a hobo-stash of parts.

Ahahah yeah there's a sneaking system and quick knife attack (C by default) that works pretty well :D
I think the default key is set to the C key does a slash also useful against rat mutants...
Not a fan of the quick slash mechanic, always found it more realistic to carry the knife itself

Ironman is the only thing fun to watch in Anomaly. Sadly i have a potato-pc, which can run Anomaly only on Dtx 8. This is kinda painfull to play.
