It's basically a newer TFW (The Faction War) mod, but for Call Of Pripyat. Honestly, even though it was buggier, and outdated even at the time, TFW was a more polished modpack overall. But i'm gonna try this while we wait for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
It was so many years ago, I played it a lot, it didn't feel outdated because it was long before anomaly, gunslinger, call of chernobyl and the general tarkovization of stalker.
Global war is a mod for call of pripyat its still a beta so dont expect the game to run good the develepors are also adding bas weapons and stuff so thats cool im having alot of fun with this mod.
When you went to check if butcher had quests you missed pressing the have anything for me interaction, this is a payment system, every good action you do for your faction(killing enemies, capturing points, etc) accumulates you money and when you press the interaction it gives the payout, basically you missed some free money early on
the good thing playing these mods before Stalker 2 is that they look like DX8... the latest Custom/Hayzee mods look too good LOL... need to downgrade my eyes a bit while we wait
You can just keep capturing the same point and allies will keep spawning if you send them to attack a point. SO capture point,select point, tell squad do attack enemy point, capture the same point again and keep repeating the enemy is dead.
picked up the legends of the zone trilogy on my xbox a while back, just now starting to go through the games gearing up for Stalker 2. Currently in Pripyat hotel, about to go to the Power Plant. I'm already thinking about a second playthrough where i do more faction related stuff, as i really didnt want to side with a faction in my first. But i still have two more games to finish! god im so mad i slept on this series.
get the old stalker games on pc if you can, the way you can mod them is just batshit insane. just a suggestion, not sure if youre into that sort of stuff
great so far. keep your health topped up til you get better armor. you always run at a low health but dont do it now. dying and respawning so far away is bad.
@@Kenobeno Not as a player, but if the NPC loses most of the time to defend the point or attack the point because of the aim, the game throws everything at the player to do. You can see in the video them trying to take a point from Duty.
If I have time before S2 Radiophobia is definitely next! I have it installed and ready to go, but decided to go with GW at the last minute for some reason xd

Random crashes every 10-15 minutes, tried 6 or 7 different factions and each one has at least one mission-giving major NPC in the starting base that instantly crashes the game if you talk to them. I like the idea of faction leaders being very strong and needing powerful explosives to kill, but GW is way too unstable.

Needs to be a little bit potato to run with 50 NPC battles on the regular and over 2000 in the zone overall (anomaly will have like 400-600 generally)
This mod with some nice weapon will be the PERFECT free play experience

I would love to see you do an ironman bandit run on GAMMA, see how long you could last going on a rampage before stalker 2 hits lol
the only thing i would want from further versions of GW is more armours and stalker appearance variety.
