    It does a good job at protecting and strengthen leather. I use on my 07 Acura Tl which is known for torn seats and cracked dashboard

    For those who think the scrub daddy is too harsh or a toothbrush, try a detailing brush or the old school men's shaving brush...compliments to ammo of course...

    • @1221Ralph
      @1221Ralph 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Laset livingstin too soft on something this hammered. You would have to do 3 or 4 passes. That's too many passes if you're a mobile detailer. Time is key.

    I'd recommend a magic eraser since it's softer on the leather. A lot of people use that to clean the leather

      hell no, never ever use super abrasive sponges on leather. It'll ruin and deteriorate Leather and other stuff.

      @@k.skyl1n3zz what would you recommend ? I got my first leather car(it’s not new) and want to clean the seats, door panels but the microfiber is not doing the cleaning any justice.

      @@DannyWifi Try a leather conditioner from Chemical guys, or Meguiars, and maybe get a upholstery brush so the liquids can get deep in make a deep clean + conditioned leather.

    • @cudgee7144
      @cudgee7144 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DannyWifi I know this is late, just saw the video, but may help you into the future. Don't but any dedicated leather cleaners/conditioners from Car suppliers, eg. Meguiars Chemical Guys etc., the mark up is highway robbery. Get some leather cleaner/soap from a supermarket or a saddle/equestrian store or such. Much better range, a lot cheaper and just use a microfibre or foam applicator. You can also buy all this online, and if your leather is in good condition to start with you can make a diluted cleaner with distilled water in a spray bottle. I use Oakwoods leather cleaner by the way, and you can use it on your dash and door trims as well.

    That wasn't just dirt in the scrubber. That was also the top coat pretectant that USE to be on the arm rest. Now you have to make sure you condition that leather on a regular basis.

    • @1221Ralph
      @1221Ralph 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      john argue ONLY use magic eraser as a last resort. Its abbrasive and will remove the factory coating on the leather/vinyl.

    I'm a huge fan of McGuire's detailing products however I hate how greasy this one is on the leather. If you buff it out with a dry cloth afterwards it doesn't leave it to greasy but my seats still feels like I just bought the car from a used dealership who did a cheap Armor All detail on everything. I also feel like anything that does cleaning and conditioning in one probably doesn't do either thing great. I just bought separate bottles of leather cleaner and leather conditioner from my local Honda dealer. They were around $6 a piece and I haven't used them yet but I'm going to give them a try and see if it leaves a more natural look and feel

    Please don’t buy this product if you’re car has REAL leather! I used it on my new Jaguar and it left a smear and streaked look. Absolutely terrible! I had to purchase a high quality protector from my Jaguar dealership to clean this crap off! I spent 3 hours getting this product off and restoring my leather to its original look. I contacted Maguire and was told “our product is fine, you just do not know how to use our product “! I could not believe this terrible customer service! Please, please don’t make the same mistake I did!

    There's some value to never cleaning a leather car interior. The oils and grime and dirt and general filth actually create a protective film around the leather, a "protective petri dish," if you will. Then, if you're willing, you can expose yourself as a skill-less amateur car detailing enthusiast with much bravado, make a video when cleaning that disgusting interior and get lots of views.
