S23 ultra is still the best all-rounder at this point

depends on who u ask. it is never a hit in china where consumers have all the options unlike those in europe and america.
My mom has the regular S23 and it really is an excellent phone and it's not too large, which for her is important. I personally have the Pixel 6a, which I know isn't a 2023 smartphone but I absolutely love Pixels.
Even I got my mom S23 last week, it's such a great compact flagship phone.
I have a S23 also
I also use pixel 6a
Does 6a still good or would you recommend just go for the 7a? I am planning to buy pixels this year but unfortunately their prices kinda high in my country.. $450 for the 6a and $650ish for the 7a..
@@gammalight6908I love my Pixel 6a!
I only have a top 1 and it is the S23Ultra. Such a good phone. Loving the battery life and cameras alot!

@@lobsterstrange that's what she said😂
Obvious paid shill comments for samsung S23Ultra meaning I will never buy it.
The camera is 💩 with the bs forced shutter delay, I thought I had a timer on NOPE! Samsung in their infinite wisdom (sarcasm) decided hey we have an amazing camera system let's add a bs shutter delay drrrrrrrrrrrr! Like what idiot was allowed to make that retarded decision. Literally half the reason to own this phone is now rendered pointless
@@lobsterstrange bro im 15 year old and that phone is perfect. I got it in black 512gb
If money isn't a factor, the only 2 options are the iPhone pro max or the S23 Ultra. But if I was on a budget, I would buy the S23 or the Google pixel 7a. I think the S23 looks gorgeous. I can't take my eyes off the green one.
Exactly bro, you just said my mind, the S23 is so cute 🥺
If money was no issue, i'd actually get Sony's 1 Mk. V
S23 is a well-spend smartphone for the price n specs.. s23 ultra is too big and i personally not into it as I do a lot of vlogging.
man i want the 23Ultra... it ticks all the boxes... but I don't money. hahaha
Even if money is not a barrier i would still choose like the base s23 or the plus just because the ultra is huge in my hands and the last time i had a phone that huge is when i broke it because it kept falling in my hands lol
It is kind of nostalgic for me watching this video. Back in high school I used to watch every phone video from several channels, I used to track the release dates of new phones, study specs, I knew how to root a lot of phones, people would reach to me to fix phones or make recommendations. I was knowledgeable enough to make my own channel, really. :)) But I got over it eventually. I feel now it's not important what phone you get, they are all great and offer a good experience.
As an OP11 user I honestly can't find a drawback of this phone, other than maybe volume rockers being on the left side and not right. Lack of wireless charging is clearly an *asset* in my mind (energy efficiency). Price to performance ratio seems unbeatable by any other phone atm.
Agreed, not sure why the love for any other phone when the OnePlus 11 has 16 gb ram and 256 gb storage at 800 USD. If you are fine with a few drawbacks as expected at the price point. You get a phone with the latest, highest end hardware, with a free, already put on screen protector, a 80w charger, and cable!
I have Jupiter rock edition ❤

Worth upgrading from s22 ultra?
OnePlus 11 is the best budget device for 2023. Latest hardware. Fastest charging. Smooth OS. Good Camera. Loving it.
No that would be the Motorola Edge + 2023 - fastest charging, comes with a 68w charger! And has the biggest battery
6:58 The lenovo Legion Duel and Legion Pro was the first gaming phone to introduce two USB C ports on their phone, one of the bottom and on the side and you can actually charge the device twice as fast if you use both USB ports to charge at the same time. Which is nuts
very nice to see you two MKBHD and Supersaf, my two favorite vlogers
The galaxy s23 plus is a solid all-around phone. I really love this phone. Should have made the list.
I recently switched from ip11 pro max to the s23 ultra. Best ive ever spent on a phone by far. I was skeptical about it at first but using it the first few days i fell in love with the s23 ultra. By far the best thing ive done. Better battery usage, faster charging, camera quality is superb, and how fast and smooth the phone processes. Idek what more to say but that it beats the ip14 pro max. Personal preference honestly
My colleague bought the s23 ultra and within a day he was so frustrated with it he returned it and bought 13 pro . My brother bought s22 ultra and even he was so frustrated with One Ul that he started to return it but sadly sim card doesn't allow that.
So both my colleague and my brother had previously a Samsung phone and the one UI experience was more or less similar doesn't matter how expensive a Samsung phone you buy . And that's doesn't feel premium in any manner.
@@GauravMishra9200 i think they just have anger issues 🤷
@@user-vt4nw4vk4n 😂😂
@@GauravMishra9200 I'm not a fan of One UI either, so I got Nova Launcher, but it is understandable that people don't want to go through the hassle of customizing their phones that much. Most people want everything to be good enough out of the box than to spend time and energy changing it to their wants. If I wasn't tech-savvy and liked fiddling with settings, I'd also go with Apple cause they are excellent for most people's needs.

I've switched from being an Apple fanboy to my first Android, a S23 Ultra. I've had ALL the iphones to date except the 14 Pro. Hands down the Samsung is better in terms of processing speed, UI and dozens of other features. I felt trapped in Apples ecosystem but finally thought it's just a phone and lifes too short to complain about petty issues which I could easily adjust myself to. Apple withholding features that models of past generations can do really bothered me, as a consumer I felt disrespected which Apple is blatantly doing, it's MY hard earned money so I'll spend it with someone that appreciates my custom.

always a pleasure seeing two of my favorite tech youtubers in one room . big love
Personally rocking the Z fold 4. Love the folding screen since I sometime work on the go with my phone and that screen is just so convenient instead of carrying a 17" laptop with half the ram of the fold. If money was an issue I'd get the pixel 7a just because its basically the 7 pro with a lower res screen.
Fold 4 is nice phone until you open it and the screen cracks down the middle mine is only 7 months old and many other people are experiencing the same problem yet samsung won't own up to the fault hope yours doesn't get the famous crack and blackout
I got one screen replaced on phone then second screen on fold u had insurance and rhe woman told me in a recored phone call it was 25 for a replacement. The hinge wasn't right. I stopped folding my replacement. I have a bill from 70 bucks to 375, I was told 25 bucks or I would have gotten screen replaced. I gotta do something this isn't my fault
I had the black out, Samsung won't fix it they sent it back so I went through insurance
I was in the same Camp with One+ as well but what killed it for me was their absolute lack of any software support starting with the 7 pro. It was sending out standard Google security updates 3 months late. So in March, we were getting JANUARY'S security update.
Unacceptable. And from just browsing their forums, it seems as if they haven't changed their ways even though the hardware might be heading back to the "old days" in of One+.
Agree with this. I was ready to stick with OnePlus phones for the long run. Then they screwed everything up. I think it's probably why Carl Pei left..
I agree. I was all in for OnePlus until the 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition. I felt screwed over when it came to updates.
I bought an 8Pro and it was pretty alright, minus the shitty camera. Then the update to Android 11 came and it was all fucked up since then. Ever since mobile data will randomly stop working until I reset the freaking phone
Another to add to the list: OnePlus software does not support NFC keys (even if it says they do). There's a bug that prevents setting up MFA with NFC. USB appears to work tho.
I own a OnePlus 8T+.
i got one plus 7 pro back then because idk if you guys remember, they tried to live stream trying to hang weights on the pop up camera showed how it's strong and everything. Lol the pop up camera is still there didn't break but camera doesn't work anymore. Problem with android phones are that the software does not know its hardware. this is very common issue, one plus never responded everyone had to throw the phone away including myself. and also one plus promised android 12 and my phone never got it, even to this date. One plus is not it. Android in general is not it.
Props to SAF for including the OP11 which has been a good back to form for Oneplus
they add phones even if they think its not the top 5 for extra advertisment..
Tbh, that's still a bad phone overall against the price.
This phone is too far away from the very good Oneplus at good price (Oneplus 7/7T/7T pro). OxygenOs is dead and replaced by Color Os. That's non sens for me because there's no difference between Oneplus and Oppo at this time.
@@ivanlecky7563 I’m still on my 6T McLaren

I have been using the Galaxy S21 Ultra for the last 2 years and it is excellent. I don't even use a tenth of what its capable of. Watching tutorials on YT has educated me on how to use functions I wasnt aware of or if there is something I want to know it can be Googled. There isnt any logical reason to upgrade as long as it still receives regular updates. The only phone I would upgrade to is the S23 Ultra no doubt but really there isnt any logical reason to do so plus there is the hassle of getting a new phone number and your coveted apps have to be installed on your new phone. I went thru all of that 2 years ago and not anxious to do it again so for now I'm good. Nice video as always.
enjoyed this two great reviewers!

I still have the S21 Ulta, and I think it's still one of the best phones. How it feels, it looks and the quality there is now reason to switch because of the enormous price gap.
My camera is having focusing issues on the main lense and it is driving me nuts now also S21 Ultra
Big respect for SuperSaf for putting the Honor Magic 5 pro there. For me that's by far the smartphone of the year, but I would've thought it would get skipped, especially in a vid with MKBHD who is all about Iphone, Samdull and Pixel.
Yeah, I thought the same.

Awesome content keep it up as always bro
Im on the same page with mkbhd I've had the s23 ultra iphone 14 pro max but the one I keep going back to is the pixel 7 pro currently rocking right now. Black with a leather black case and it looks elegant 😍 the software is top notch and the cameras perform very well during daylight which 9/10 pictures i take are during the day and giving that I'm not a heavy user the battery life makes it through the day with a good 40 percent still left by the end the of day.
After many years of Oneplus, decided to go with S23 Ultra. In my opinion it's a good phone which will be remembered / used for many years.
Features like Dex and S-Pen are unique and they bring a lot of value. The screen, cameras, battery and overall performance are very good.
I had 3 oneplus phones (I think?), and I got the S22 Ultra. I like it OK, but it just didn't have the personality of the OnePlus phones for me. Not sure exactly why, but I think I prefer OnePlus. Maybe I'll go pixel next time idk
The screen of S23 Ultra the biggest disappointment for me. It works as mirror #2. I see often my face on the screen instead of the content, because of that crazy reflection.
You gotta love the crossover videos!
I agree by the end of the year alot of good phones get forgotten

Yea but the price is insane. It's simply insane price tag, even for the best.
@@wall57805 I just checked and holy shit yeah its just wayy too expensive, its so expensive in fact that it shouldnt even be regarded in the same category as the others, the 512 gb version is a 1400$ and the 1tb is 1620$ like what? that is double any other flagship. Imagine buying the 256 gb version for 1200$ in 2023... that is just not enough memory on a phone nowadays, I have a Oneplus 6 and looking to upgrade but I am not going to spend double what I spent on the oneplus 6 FIVE YEARS AGO to get the exact same memory (256gb)... the biggest reason I want to upgrade is the memory but strangely enough it seems to be one of the few aspects that phones never really improved on in any meaningful way over the past 5 years, smartphones have really hit a plateu for this S23 ultra to come out today and have people buy it at this pricepoint.

Every now and then, a phone comes along that unquestionably ticks ALL the right boxes. This year, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is that phone.
Even camera? Don’t Samsung oversaturate their images?
@@Snoop_Dugg the camera sux , way over saturated, look at dxo, and the design sux, too boxy just like the note 10 four years ago!
@@myfakeguuglaccount8307 I had the Note 4, and liked the saturation at that time. But hated how slow it was to take a shot.
@Doug D That was a good phone for its time. The problem with Samsung is their slow processing. Well...slower than others, because all phone cameras have to do a healthy amount of digital processing to get decent shots. That's why, when you use something like Camera Assistant to speed up the shutter, photos don't come out as good: you're getting pretty much what the crappy phone sensor is seeing.

Interesting review, thanks for that. I use the iPhone 14 Max Pro as my daily, mainly for work reasons however I used a second Android phone because my car only has Android Auto! Annoyingly, I would used my alternate Pixel 6 Pro but that doesn’t; play nice with BlueTooth, apparently a long standing problem where it randomly barfs and drops connection. My son has the Pixel 7 Pro which has the exact same problem. Ideally, I’d like to stick with Pixel because it’s a great platform but the BT issue remains and I can’t envisage a fix on upcoming phones. Shame really,
my pixel 6 pro doesn't have issues with disconnect. Only when connected by cable do I have issues.
Costco canada is also offering Pixel 7 for only $200 CAD right now with Virgin and Fido. Absolutely insane price.
