Here's a simple scenario to demonstrate why households (for example) probably aren't ready for a humanoid robot. Imagine you don't have a boring or repetitive task for your Bot. Where would you have it stand? In the hallway, like a creepy statue? In the garage to scare your wife when she comes home from work? In the garden? In the wardrobe or behind a door to save space? Sat in a chair, taking up space? It's an interesting problem... We've never had to accommodate this appliance before. New build developers aren't even giving us space to store a vacuum cleaner and now we need a Bot closet...

Experts are very debated on when a general intelligence will emerge, but since some of them predict it to happen within 20 years, we need to start creating protocols on how to develop them, so they will work for our general good.

Elon has also said that it's inevitable that AI will surpass us, so that the solution for humanity is to do our best to make AI benevolent and then merge with it to become cyborgs.
i think Ai will surpasse individual capacities in gathering knowloedge....but surpassing human intelligence i don't think so. Ai only gathers and process in high speed but creating and innovating something new i don't think so...it has advantages of speed and processing power unlike the brain that takes a bit of time...human do have other godly given perks like intuition imagination, prediction and make things useful even if it's below the treshold...a lot of things...humans are the one who created Ai and the only one that can terminate it if they want
