I’m About a week old subscriber. Really like your videos and how you set examples/B-roll as your script flows. I also enjoyed your really long solo cinematic video where you walked around with your tripod and tube light set up and the BTS explanations. A masterclass if I say so.
I definitely need to try those filters.. I have the light I take it with me most of the time since it's portable but I haven't used the app yet. I will give it a try after watching your video
I've been watching your channel and your growth for years and I'm finally leaving a comment lol Just wanna say Thank you, you've been very inspiring and I'm finally officially going all in on making my production biz this year. I never forgot your video on your own journey and admitting you just will jump all into something. It made me feel less crazy to be that person - no I have no backup plan. But it's been fine the past 6 months so let's keep going. Great content, rooting for you always, can't wait to see what's next!
Love these budget filmmaking gears videos. Diopters have been sitting in my cart for a while now, and this video made me finally buy it now. Been aiming to buy a portable light for making music videos in location but I'm out of budget for now. Hoping to win that light!
I just wanted to say that I found your channel today and am absolutely amazed at the gorgeous footage you capture. You definitely have a great eye. I subbed instantly and will be binging all your videos. Thanks for making some awesome content and teaching us how you do it too.
Not me silently adding most of the things to the - one day cart - ya boi tryna build up his collection of gear! Really love the softboxes dude.. W video!
Ever since I was a kid, I have always wanting to live in Japan and it's the only country that is home to me. Yes, I went to school in America, but being part Japanese and African-American, my soul and my heart will always and forever will be Japan. Recently I went back to Japan, and I have not seeing my family and friends for 5 YEARS! (crazy how time fly by) As I was walking around, a lot of the nostalgic memories has flooded in me and I am not gonna, I cried. It's because that childhood dream on mine was super determine to live in Japan. Right now, I am planning to buy houses and properties. So that I can live there forever. "You live everyday and you die once"
Hey man, I love your channel! I’ve learned a lot about lighting from your content. I’ve been setting up my woodworking shop in my basement, and your videos have been a huge help. I hope I get the chance to be the winner!
Love when YC does "Budget" Gear review because its actually budget lmaooo🤣 other budget videos be like "yeah buy this light for a fantasic price of $1200" LMAOOOO🤣🤣
I appreciate how you are able to hold tension in your shots and in your voice. I notice you don’t often use music but are still able to keep engagement through your story telling. Its awesome to see that growth and I’m hoping to get there as well. ✌🏾@christafari
I'm a music artist trying to learn a lot more about filming. I don't have a team so I have to do it on my own. I do enjoy and appreciate your videos they are very informative thank you
honestly, I think you and creative Ryan every single day because you two along with Peter McKinnon have single-handedly found me a new passion that I haven't had since I was a track and field athlete. It's giving me so much more to work towards and unlocked a creative part of my brain that I never even thought was there you guys are my main inspirations along with so many other creators that are up-and-coming and I can never thank you enough🎥🎥📸
Aprecio muchísimo tus videos, gracias a tus consejos he podido adquirir buenos equipos ajustados a mi presupuesto, es muy difícil hacer dinero en Cuba con el vídeo y la fotografía. GRACIAS 🙌
Hmm, I'd say macro tubes would do better work than those filters - mainly because it would be way easier to keep the same look between the macro and non-macro shots.
I started with Close-up lenses but soon outgrew them. They are a good way to start into close up shots but I really loved being able to shoot bees at 1:1 with my 150mm Sigma.
@itslewiswilburn those macro lenses I got and they stack too so you can get super close didn't think I'd use them as much as I do now not just for super close ups like you said
@donchristopher84, I love Neewer products. That Ulanzi light looks very interesting and that fact that is has vmount 😮…. What power cable does it use???
Those close up filters are defo going into the cart, i agree with you, the "character" they give actually makes me like them more.
I think the close-up filters are really good, and I liked the vibe they gave with all the flares and those little color shifts.

Love this series of videos. Always some gems. Definitely copping the filters. Love the character they give.
