In addition to his musical talent from what I've read and seen of him on interviews, he's probably one of the nicest and most humble people in the classic rock industry. Yes personality does count 😄❤ If there was an award for the most congenial celebrities, I would give one to Jeff Lynne.
Interesting facts...From 1972 to 1986 ( during 14 years) Jeff Lynne's ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA accumulated more combined UK and US Top 40 hits than any other band in the world. Celebrate Legends while they are still alive. The great Jeff Lynne has a new album out since November 1st, 2019. Which was no. 1 in the UK last November.Jeff Lynne's ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA is still Touring! 50 years later they still play in sold-out Arenas, Stadiums and huge festivals. We saw them again last Summer of 2019 on the North American Tour...( Best Concert of my life) All the reviews again agree they are the best live act in the world and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius. They are in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best Song Writer award ( ASCAP ) 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years. Jeff Lynne created the Best Super Group of all time "The Traveling Wilburys" With George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan. The Legends in the Music Industry call Jeff Lynne the best overall Musician ever and a Producer Extraordinaire Jeff Lynne has written and produced many hit songs for music legends like George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Bryan Adams, The Everly Brothers, Aerosmith, Joe Cocker and so many others... Long live Jeff Lynne’s ELO! Please Tour in 2021! @t
Jeff Lynne's ELO is one of the very, very few bands sounding better live than on their records. They are this good. In the Summer of 2019, Forbes Magazine called Jeff Lynne's ELO "The Best Live Classic Rock Band In The World Still Touring". After seeing their shows in 2016, 2018 and 2019, I totally agree. This is amazing Jeff Lynne, Paul, Ringo and George Harrison became great friends and produced fantastic music together with also other Music Legends. Jeff Lynne's ELO will probably Tour with Dhany Harrison in 2022.
Thank You Jeff for that one last N.A. tour. You and The Band were fabulous. Give a nod to the people that built the Spaceship backdrop! Fan-Bloody-Tastic!
I got into rock music when I was 13. I had studied every conceivable piece of rock music history that appeared to me since then, and now I’m 30. And today is the day I’ve finally uncovered that Jeff Lynne is not American. And as deep into rock history as I’ve been for almost 20 years, I’m absolutely blown away to officially realize this. A lot of English musicians do a good job at sounding American; Jeff Lynne’s singing voice has convinced everybody_ that he is American for over 40 years now
Jeff is the greatest!! I especially like the clarification of “ Grooose”. I knew that was what it said, but my brother was unsure, so I was able to send him this clip. I also bought a tee shirt for him with grooose on the front. Wonder how many people catch on when he wears it in public. 😂😂
You have to love the simplicity of just knowing what fits in a song or what your after to make it work without even knowing the technical but achieving the technical. That to me is Jeff Lynne, genius without declaring genius.
What a humble genius. Even when the host got the title of tye song wrong! He still wasn't offended. Akways will be my music hero... saw them 2016 in UK, 2018 and 2019 in Toronto... I do hope it wasn't the last.
Great interview, laughed so hard. Recently rediscovered Don't Bring Me Down and can now play most of it on acoustic. Great tune and apparently used on many shuffle dance videos.
When I first clicked on this video on my computer, just for a brief second this guy from ELO looked a lot like Tony Iommi (Black Sabbaths lead guitarist). And the funny thing is his voice even sounds similar to Iommi's voice too. Also one of ELO's drummers (Bev Bevan) was the drummer for Black Sabbath on their 1983 "Born Again" tour
Jeff Lynne is one of my favorite producers. Whether ELO or work he’s done with Tom Petty or Traveling Wilburys, it’s always amazing. The vocals especially.
Speaking from experience here, the only way is to subscribe to Sirius. Given the backlog of interviews and music you'll find it's well worth the price.
Lmao legend Man I wish this guy would've asked about wtf was going in his head when he decided that a "ooh-ooh-hoo" in don't bring me down was necessary xD I love it
Exactly and THANK YOU for mentioning him, honestly I don't think he gets mentioned enough by people. I very much admire his bass playing and singing (both lead and backing vocals)...truly a talent in those "classic era" ELO years, very much missed RIP
Just once before we all die ... wouldn't it be nice for Jeff, Richard and Bev to just perform together again. Just once for old time's sake ... just once for new future's sake.
Mr Lynne, my name is Jeff, and I have an idea for creating a movie musical using your songs as dialog but based on the song Horace Wimp for the storyboard. It would be a great tribute to you and ELO! If you are interested please contact me. Life time fan.
TH-cam sucks when it comes to notifications no matter if subscribed and "bell is clicked". I just got an "notification" about this video. There is also the possibility that most of the kiddies DO NOT know who this is as well. Not all of them know what GOOD MUSIC is. Sadly.
I've often wondered about the song ::............Living Thing......if it was about Abortion / Termination. I've never found an interview abut this one actually.......
Apparently the song is just about love. Some theories goin around about “Oh the song is about the whale” or “oh it’s about an orgasm” but no, it’s just a song about love. Simply love.
Jeff is a Music God but at the same time, he is so humble, kind and funny. Can't wait to see him on Tour again...
"Jeff Lynne knows more about music than anyone I know." - Tom Petty
Jeff Lynne seems to be a great guy and has a great sense of humor and of course a awesome musical artist !
🥰👍
yess
Doesn't seem to be - he is a great man (guy).
I love the song Evil Woman a lot. I've had a crush on Jeff Lynn forever.
@@doloresm7396 He looks like a junkie
Evil woman is good but I think nightrider is better. Or maybe twilight
Thought he looked slimmer ❤
@@Flux11-q6qWhat about Fire on High? Poker? Shangri-La?
@@roccon4246 damn this is old, anyway, Shangri-la is also good, I also like heaven only knows
I just realized that, after being an ELO/Jeff Lynne fan for over 40 years, I’d never heard his speaking voice. Seems like a fun guy!
In addition to his musical talent from what I've read and seen of him on interviews, he's probably one of the nicest and most humble people in the classic rock industry. Yes personality does count 😄❤ If there was an award for the most congenial celebrities, I would give one to Jeff Lynne.
"Bollocks to that, I'm singing 'BRUCE!' as well.." LOLZ.
Yeah that was a baller move!
Wow what a beautiful man , artist , loved him and ELO for years and play them most days
He makes it sound so easy. So talented.
Love Jeff's talent and his great sense of humour! 😄
Hello British lady
The best overall Musician ever and a top 3 Producer. Jeff Lynne is incredible.
Absolutely world class
You’re not kidding!!!

Love that man and his music.
Out Of The Blue, I consider one of the greatest albums ever recorded. Beautiful music.
Here, here!!
What a great entertaining guy he is .....talking , singing and playing.. All around Great Guy.
What a very cool real humble #1 musician.

Oh Jeff You Are A Magician 💫🎹🎸✨🎼🎶🎵💝
Jeff taught me how to music. What a dream it would be to sit at the desk with him.
Geoff Lynne is a straight talker.
He doesn’t need to waffle & has
a great musical radar. He gets
the job done and appears to be
having fun.
I love him and his music
Jeff ♥️. One of the all time BEST 😃👍
Jeff Lynne needs his own channel on XM. It is that simple.
Great and funny interview. Long live the music Genius Jeff Lynne!
There is nobody better
He is a musical genius and I didn't know how funny he is .
Great stories. Jeff is a funny guy to boot!
I never tire of ELO and what Jeff has to offer. Complete genius
Evil Woman is one of the greatest songs ever, IMO.

Jeff is a major inspiration!
Jeff is the very best ever if not one of the best and at the same time so humble and so funny.... SIRIUS XM MAKE THE CORRECTION IT'S NOT Jess Lynne
Jeff is a man that understands music!
Love this man!
I would never have guessed that you were a fan, considering your username. ;)
I never even thought of double tracking a piano till I looked into Jeff Lynne. And yes, you have to detune slightly to get that feel.
Wow! Incredible guy. Would be a joy to work with!. Now, what about Telephone Line please!
He needs to go back on tour. The world misses Jeff Lynne!!!
I saw him last week in Dallas. 😊
@@Kaboomboo Still no European tour yet. You're so lucky!!!
Jeff Lynn for ever 💙👍🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻🤘🏼

Jeff is a total genius. How can you write a song in 6 mins.
Once he said at around this time he could write an entire album in days.
Exactly...
What a cool persona

I can not think of anything He has done, that I didn't like. Thanks Jeff !
I never knew Jeff Lynne to be so funny! That was enjoyable!

Damn. That was honest and awesome.
This was great! Thanks for posting.

A real legend
is there anywhere where I could listen to the full interview?
Speaking from experience here, the only way is to subscribe to Sirius. Given the backlog of interviews and music you'll find it's well worth the price.
Agree- I don't need to hear the idiot interviewer- just Jeff Lynne's story.
Now I get it. Always wondered what they`re singing in DBMD, so it`s "Gruß", meaning "Greetings".

Love u jeff.
Bruce Allen was known to bring down a room. I heard it was him. Thank you mr Lynn

The last 3 letters of this video url are so cute
Wow, what a cool guy.
Man seriously said 'don't let me down'...
LOVIN' IT VERY FUNNY GRUß!!!
Anyone knows where to find the docuemntal of his life?
Look for "Mr Blue Sky, the Story of Jeff Lynne and ELO". I rented it from Amazon Prime I think.
@ 4:04 Jeff flipped ‘em off
What other song did he take the drum from for Don’t Bring Me Down?
It's a tape loop coming from "On the Run", slowed down
JESS LYNNE????
REALLY??????
It’s OK Jeff, your fans have known all along that it’s grooooooooosssss, not Bruuuuuuuuuce. It might not make any sense but it sounds cool.
This is not Jess Glynne, this is Jeff Lynne.
For some reason, he remind me of a more coherent Ozzy in personality.
They’re both from Birmingham, and so that makes a bit of sense. 👍🏻
He's a nice a guy. Gruss, Bruce. 😅
Just once before we all die ... wouldn't it be nice for Jeff, Richard and Bev to just perform together again. Just once for old time's sake ... just once for new future's sake.
Richard was with Jeff until he became very ill. He won't Tour again but has played on the 2019 Jeff Lynne's ELO Album.
There's that ol Wilbury lad
He has not lost his Birmingham(West Midlands/Warwickshire)accent
