It's a complicated story, but both storylines are supposed to lead into Tiberian Dawn. Red Alert 2, at least when Westwood was still in control, is an alternative timeline to the Tiberian universe. It was the result of Nod forces powering up the original Chronosphere in Area 51 near the start of Westwood's original script for their sequel to Tiberian Sun.

Red Alert 1 took place in 1950-something, which was WW2 in that universe because Einstein went back in time and killed Hitler. Kane is assumed to be immortal or something, since we've seen photographs of him from the 1950's all the way into the 2070's, and he is also assumed to be the same Cain as the one in the Bible.

But i highly doubt any acknowledged speedrunning website is going to make a special category on their site for that. But there's always TH-cam!
I've seen some of these tool-assisted speed runs, at first I thought damn this dude is good then I found the word 'tool assisted', wiki-ed it and realized ah it's not so genuine :P it would be extremely lame to do tool assist on RA though. I'm not completely clear on what it is but I know for sure that the pros won't approve it
for as much of an Ahole stalin is, it's sad to see him go in red alert, he just has so much character being built from the ground up as this charismatic leader who wants to spread the borders of the soviet union and then he just gets poisoned in the endgame
People love to make so much of this but the truth is after RA1 Westwood threw away the plan to tie the franchises. Yes, during production of Red Alert it was planned so Kane and other more subtle hints (like an allied cutscene talking about the UN proposing a "global" force...) made their way in to Red Alert, but they officially dropped the idea after the game was already released. Some more fun stuff: Joe Kucan wasn't just Kane; he directed a lot of early CnC at the time Joe Kucan did a lot of voicework at Westwood, including titles even older such as Legend of Kyrandia (Brandon) In Lands of Lore 3 you visit a Nod temple
Your microing is crazy. It would be fun to watch you use a variety of units, instead of just building tanks. Artillery and V2s were always favorites of mine. One of the things I appreciated about C&C growing up, is the ability to do the missions with few units. I was a bare minimum type of player, liked microing and seeing how far I could stretch an army by holding position and attacking at the correct times. I do get that you did this to break records, and kudos. Crazy how fast you beat these. Would love to see you try to incorporate different units, even if they suck more than these strategies. OpenRA is trying to bring more balance to the game, so that the mass tank strategy doesn't work as well. What do you think of OpenRA?
Cypher402 unfortunately RA is such that the game heavily depends only on a select few units - heavy, v2 and Tesla if you're sov and med, heli, turret if you're allied. It's a common complaint that TD players have about RA since In TD you use a wider variety to beat the opponent. OpenRA changes the essence of RA significantly and it's not something that seasoned pros or new players are keen of; its lack of following shows this.
How do you have select keys for like each area for the base/tanks, i know you can individually number them, but how do you go to the group that's attack the group that's defending, and like that, if you get me?
Hiya...one of my stragedies is 1) Use dogs to roll back the shroud, they are cheap and fast..just send them on a suicide mission from your end to another ..diagonally...2) build your air bases of migs together so you can group them with the cursor and designate as...Team circle+Team X+ Team Triangle+Team Square...When you want aerial support..just click on the command and control center..e.g Team X...the Migs will be ready to take off and come to your aid..important to knock out enemy coil towers..kool!!!
man(n) da kommen Erinnerungen hoch....damit bin ich aufgewachsen. Das kann man heute noch spielen während die 'modernen' Spiele so anspruchslos und schnelllebig sind.
If you'd built a couple of YAKS as well as the MIGs I think you could have finished slightly faster. The YAKs are good for killing infantry units. Also, I remember I often used the ctrl fire feature with my Cruisers to improve accuracy on far away targets (the key was to ctrl fire a little short of where the target is because they always had a tendency to overshoot). But I don't know if that would have sped you up or slowed you down.
Am I wrong but I remember after the celebration of Stalin in this alternate universe or was it in red alert 2 that the enemy of GDI took over and his arc started

@@johnroscoe2406 as they say, there can be no best of both worlds

Okay, legit question. Why damage the Construction Yard if you're going to put an engineer in it?
In RA engineers can only capture a building when it's damaged to a red health bar.
@@TheCNCChannel are you serious? I never knew that. I had RA1 growing up as a kid but I mostly played RA2.
@@sweetdeal68 No kidding lol
The decisions on placing those Tesla coils hurt my brain and I think dropped my IQ a few points.
The gaming industry is too lame to bring these games back to the market.
So true.
Dunno why while playing this game at age of 10 I thought AHHNOLEGE IS RUSSIAN word 😋
QUE NOSTALGIA VER ESTE JUEGO, ME EMOCIONABA JUGARLO
Command & Conquers Games = The best games ever !
The ending mopping up the last units on the map definitely could have been faster.
True. I didn’t quite optimize this run
Soviets: We have Tesla Coils and Flame Towers, WOOOOOOOOP BZZZZT! WOOOSH AAAAAAARGH!
Allies: We have a like big, ineffective cannon and a concrete box with a gun in it.
Masterfully done. Only probably would have been better to use MiGs to take out random ore trucks, and paratroopers to take out disconnected power buildings and rifle troops. Cruiser cannons can also sometimes be manually aimed to get better results.
Wow my mind is blown! I remember playing this mission 20 years ago and it taking hours to complete. 👍
Your mind still blown?
The early 1990s? Kane knew the meteor carrying Tiberium would land on Earth in '95, that sly alien bastard.
20:55 : C&C Fans happy for C&C4, to give it a last chance !
20:59 : EA Games appears (right side)

21:40 : C&C Fans reaction when playing C&C4 after giving it a last chance.

*"AAA" Game Producer Wins. Fatality.*
Wow! Really love the final movie scene with KANE! Somehow he looks like the representative of the today so called "deep state".
I agree
However, still I think he does not need to kill that little blonde girl in the end, after all she was working for Kane all the time.
I love how it’s all connected ie Kane and that
lol this was utter madness well done on the micro dude
20:53 That clap sounds so damn satisfying
Does red alert take place in the 40's? The technology always left me a little confused and the fact that Kane is present.
Yes it does. If I remember correctly, the storyline says that cos there was no Hitler, world tech accelerated at a faster pace.
Do the games explain how kane lives for more than 100 years all the way into Kane's Wrath (cnc 4 didn't happen let's be real) I haven't played tiberian sun or tiberian wars yet.
It set in the 50s without hitter to stop the soviets advance
+Jolly Trolly kane is an alien in EAs vission in westwood he was to be a bible cain . the ts ending says it all kane says he saw invincible flying ships why would he say that if he saw them in his pre earth life
down with E.A and up with the brotherhood!
Bloody hell man, you are a great player.👍👍👍👍
the acting in the cut scenes is 10/10 lol
Nice work! Usually, speedrunners play on easy difficult, but u play it on hard!
+Pedro Paulo Thanks, lol a speedrun is valid only if it's play at the most difficult level
+RC1985 It's not. Difficulties are seperate categories on their own.
Didn't know about that, by logic I chose to do it at the toughest level to make it legit :)
+RC1985 If a person wants to make a speedrun, he can do so as long as a legitimate version of the game is played. No unofficial patches unless they have been allowed, no hacks. But if he wants to make an easy difficulty, Tool Assisted 67% speedrun, that's his option!
I'm not completely clear on what it is but I know for sure that the pros won't approve it
for as much of an Ahole stalin is, it's sad to see him go in red alert, he just has so much character being built from the ground up as this charismatic leader who wants to spread the borders of the soviet union and then he just gets poisoned in the endgame
there's really something about RA1's artstyle that's better than the sequels
Take England by force...the Hitler's dream haha.
Pedro Paulo now that you mentioned it, the developers might've modeled this final mission after the real Op Sea Lion
Anyone happen to know the song they play in the start of the ending cutscene @20:08 ?
It's "Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь!" ("Workers of the World, Unite") : th-cam.com/video/20MTjYULcHE/w-d-xo.html
Some more fun stuff:
Joe Kucan wasn't just Kane; he directed a lot of early CnC at the time
Joe Kucan did a lot of voicework at Westwood, including titles even older such as Legend of Kyrandia (Brandon)
In Lands of Lore 3 you visit a Nod temple
Why is there a reference to the nodd I thought the CNC red alert games were in a different univerc
Your microing is crazy. It would be fun to watch you use a variety of
units, instead of just building tanks. Artillery and V2s were always
favorites of mine.
RC1985 seems interesting though, I suspect some of it is because old dogs don’t want to learn new tricks
Weird. Everyone light tank spammed back in the old days. 1 light tank can kill any other tank in the game merely by dodging it's attacks.
How do you have select keys for like each area for the base/tanks, i know you can individually number them, but how do you go to the group that's attack the group that's defending, and like that, if you get me?
Are you pressing the number then space? idk
That´s insane: I used to play this mission for hours lol :)
What a game... so many memories... aaahhh...
Kane wth, that was a waste.
Oh my, nostalgia central.
Why is it saying Time: 1H 10M at the end of the game (19:53)
He speeded up the replay. He actually played in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Not 20 minutes.
ActionAndRace there was no speedup. I record my time in real time, 1h 10m is in-game time
Am I wrong but I remember after the celebration of Stalin in this alternate universe or was it in red alert 2 that the enemy of GDI took over and his arc started
Well Kane has an eye for talent. He made the player the Chairman, not just a general ! :P
That turbospeed X3
Kane rules!
+p cha Kane lives!
One Vision One Purpose!
The true prophet of Tiberium!!!
