You executed an awesome counter. As an Allied player, you and Soviet ally held your ground until the map is fully revealed while using the unused space to the northwest to strengthen your base and aid in the defense. Once the GPS Satellite revealed the map to you, it revealed fatal flaws of your opponents. 1. They failed to utilize the massive space to the northeast, especially soleman as their CYs was almost entirely in the no-man's land. Since you are only Allied player, you used that land to cause serious hell with the aid of the Chronosphere. It was short lived, but the damage was done as soleman never had any chance to establish any structures in that area. 2. They are so busy steamrolling, they failed to establish any anti-air defenses. Your use of Longbows made short work on critical structures. 3. They both took an extreme high risk on relying on V2s. Without tanks to take blunt force of your team's attacks, their V2s become vulnerable after launching their payload, especially whenever you built a gap generator either into their base or their side of no-man's land.
after watching this vid from beginning till the end, i hope i wont have nightmares about random gap generators suddenly popping out in my base xD What a rapid gameplay - for me as (noob-)watcher, it was not always easy to recognize and understand every single step from rc... the enemy could have been a bit more offensive like at the beginning part, there was an exciting point... But my big respect to all players! Nice game! Want to see 3 players vs. rc-team :DDD
9:16 I'm curious why you sold all of your war factories and then rebuilt them. You did place them more spread out, but some ended up back in the same spot.
What a game! You basically got them by fatigue of human commander unable to keep up with the crazy rhythm of your heli/tank attacks and basewalking at the same time! Even though the tactics seems simple, they found no refutation to it. Is it because of speed? I mean, the enemy could also have had built helipads. It's just that they'd spend precious seconds on giving those helipad orders out that would have costed them a game even earlier.
+bormisha Soviets helis don't do much damage. This map is usually played using Soviets (V2 and tesla), so many are unfamiliar with how to defend against Allied helis, which cause a huge amount of damage and can cripple an enemy faster than a Sov. Their best bet was to make rockets non stop, but this takes a certain amount of skill as it will affect their ground battles. Because they couldn't make enough, we won.
+RC1985 I see. Thanks for the explanation. By "making rockets", did you mean Rocket soldiers? Are SAM sites less effective against massive heli attacks?
+bormisha Yes, rocket soldiers. SAM missiles do heavier damage but building them takes up space and power and also sacrifices your time to attack on the ground. On the other hand you can produce rocketeers while pushing your enemy at the battlefield.
What a glorious marathon. Question: In RA, making more of a structure causes that unit type to build faster. Does the same apply to faster powers like Chronosphere, Abomb, Paratroopers?
Daniel Payne doubt so, the super powers actually get ready faster as the game progresses. Like they’re slow at the start but after 2 hours if the game is still on then they ready up quicker
Thank you for your response. Had to ask because when I was younger, I assumed it worked the same way. Whenever the announcer said SILOS NEEDED I just built more A-Bomb silos :P I -think- my weapons went faster, but probably for the reason you gave (time passing) rather than what I thought.
it's to distract the enemy and to cause them to redirect their attention and forces to quelling the gap gen spam. focusing on the infiltration takes away their attention from the frontlines. if they chose to ignore and leave the gap gens alone, RC can start pumping out tanyas to bomb their base, thieves to steal their cash, or churn out tanks from warfacs inside their base.
if you targeted the blue team full force earlier you'd have finished this way earlier. you distracted yourself between their teams, and the key to winning fast is focus on the weaker one until theyre out of the game.
I quite enjoy these old games, but I dont get why many players go for the strategy of sacrificing half of their army to kill 1 or two bases. Even if it is the main base, it seems like such a risky strategy. Especially in this game, since it takes a long time to remake your tanks. In other RTS games the side that didnt lose half their army, would just instantly attack back, kill the opponents remaining army and instantly win.
For so long it looked like your opponents were kind of "too big to fail", but basically defending all the time with no single full blown attack. Total lack of Initiative. Well done!
There is some appeal in removing credit restraints to allow a huge arms race. It then becomes about knocking out key structures and forcing the foe to fold.
Daniel Payne is right, although it most likely goes against the devs’ initial ideas, unlimited money creates an entirely different dynamic. Arguably it takes more skill to play on unlimited money maps because of the amount of clicking and multitasking. There are a lot of limited money games on my channel though
@@TheCNCChannel I think you are right. I like both ways of playing, though playing with ore limitations require either a strategic breakthrough decently early on or a gamechanger late when the map locks up in a stalemate. Say, a Longbow or MiG blast-down of key structures as money expires, or an Engineer snipe of the enemy War Factory and then pump out tanks in their base as you sell off everything you don't need. Just some ideas.
Daniel Payne yup. Though the late game changers you mentioned also apply to unlimited ore games. Why unlimited is more difficult than limited is because of the coordination between producing, moving and attacking at maximum production speed. Only a handful can properly do that and to me that is one of the criteria that distinguishes top pros from mid carders
Infinite money makes war escalate very quickly.

That was crazy good micro, those gap generators really put that little cherry on the cake

The Tesla tanks and towers were so OP in this game, they completely Fischer Priced them in RA2..and the pillbox sound.
Zapp Brannigan: "We'll just send wave after wave of men. Right men!?"
Men: "Blehhh-uggghh"
The hours I put into this game 20 years ago 🤣
Mentally exhausted after watching that. God knows how your brain kept that up!
Now thats some good micro
The moment you see him actually have time to build a nuke..... "Yup. They're done!" :D ;)
is this how our grandfather fought the world war? random building pop up out of nowhere making everything dark all the sudden
This may be a old vid u may not see this message but man i love you're content.
Thanks man I see it and appreciate it!
9:16 I'm curious why you sold all of your war factories and then rebuilt them. You did place them more spread out, but some ended up back in the same spot.
So I can build helis and tanks simultaneously
@@TheCNCChannel Ah, thanks!
29:30 omg so annoying lol

God that shit never gets old.
dam, you sick :D like your technic...
what the fuck :D best Match i ever seen on p4.... what a greate strike back... great job!
I once played one with "Population Limit Reached" because everyone made too much infantry
It's all fun and games until you're unable to build more.
Dalvir Bhullar always hated that, ruined the game for me.
Close call at the start, but always a challenge to get teched up fast enough vs strong opponents. Ggwp!
why didn't the enemy switch to mamoth spam earlier ? they'll do air defense too and repair themselfs when standing around??
Because Mammoths are outmanuevered and outproduced by Medium/Heavy Tanks because they are slow and take awhile to build even at max production speed.
Any videos of atom?
because the redu didn't end soon the money refineries?
What a glorious marathon.

watching this at 2.0 speed hurts my brain but it's goddamn hilarious
Support always from team Guwapas
LOL rts.. REAL TIME SPAM.
Lol!
Why do i see some longbows coming in from outside of the map???
If the heliapds are full then newly produced helis will come from outside
So will this make a return in the remaster, will we see the greatest game of tug-of-war part 2?
No unfortuantely, because EA online games lag so hard for players in specific location
What's the use of all those gap generators all the time?
To distract the opponent
@@TheCNCChannel Why doesn't he just ignore them? Or do they pose some threat I'm missing?
He'd be able to build a new base up there, so it's always crucial to destroy enemy structures within your base or near it.
Epic Gamer Moment lol
Should have gone mass mine layer strats :)
I don't get why you were building all those gap generators at the top right of the map
it's to distract the enemy and to cause them to redirect their attention and forces to quelling the gap gen spam. focusing on the infiltration takes away their attention from the frontlines. if they chose to ignore and leave the gap gens alone, RC can start pumping out tanyas to bomb their base, thieves to steal their cash, or churn out tanks from warfacs inside their base.
yo dawg... i heard you like helis... so i left some in your ore for you... enjoy! ... more on the way
Why you didn't Destroy Electricity First then Tesla Coils!?!?
so the attack helicopters can refill ammo without landing on a helipad?
no
This was epic
Why doesnt anyone spam engineers while also assaulting eith tanks.?
What mayhem is this?
I remember a cool mod for this game called bad ra1.
Hell yeah
Unit ready. Unit lost. Unit ready. Unit lost. Unit ready. Unit lost. Unit ready. Unit lost. Unit ready. Unit lost.

i dont know, tehse kind of Gameplay & spaming destroyd some of my child hoods memory on this good game lol
and where do I find this map?
You can download the game from cncnet, the map is called official p4 rashowdown

So annoying how the helicopters would land and not stay hovering

Well at least the allies don’t make illegal terror weapons unlike the Soviets and their huge tanks.
What a mess!!!!
Sure is :)
Watching this I realise I'll never dedicate that much time to clicking haha
uhm.. this almost got me epileptic
I do not understand why everybody play at this speed and infinite ressources map. Sorry for ranting. I still enjoyed watching your campaign speedruns.
dont understand it either... low ore and some strategy would make way more fun.

Goddamn...... Oh shi....
Medium tank way better than heavy tank
I agree, the.med.tank shoots faster and.moves faster. The heavy tanks shoots double but not rapid fire. Both have same armor
Man, opponent can't do air defence properly.
this was not relaxing entertainment
这战略真弱
What a boring game. Zero strategic skills. 100% spam building stuff. Unlimited money map = trash.
omg... if you just realized every 3rd step rc made, then it all makes no sence for you ofc^^
