I used to use Nod and engy rush with tunnelers before pavement was properly laid in multiplayer. After about 4 games I gave up on it and just played Starcraft.

You ever notice how much more distinctive the audio was in older games? I mean, you hear any section of this video... you know what's going on, you know what faction is being played, and there's certainly no mistaking what game it is.

Well-played... I played very conservatively and methodically back when this game came out, and revisited it about 10 years ago to find it holds up super well. RA2 was the peak though...

Potential way you can speed this up: Build a cyborg commando. Once you capture the 2nd base, break through to silo island with artillery, capture the Temple of Nod, and build the commando. By the end of the level it will have achieved more than engineers built in the same timeframe, and is more flexible than artillery.
Hard Mode in TS is so inane. Your units do less damage and AI does more damage. I remember a CC coming into my base and wrecking me, including crushing my MKII!
My strategies is stealing everything more than $500 with engineer/barracks strat,then disk thrower wipe out the rest junks(plants 2 blackout NOD in few secs),Mission efficency reach more than 135% more than $16000(engineer earn more than harvester) I had finally
There’s no word of a remaster of TS. The only confirmed remastered games to date are TD and RA, but somehow people misunderstood TS and RA2 to be in the mix

Man does this bring back memories, including but not limited to how absurdly overpowered Nod Artillery was when the game first launched. Auto tracking shells , unmatched range, and the ability to destroy the landscape.
They were really hateful in multiplayer, and the Nod multi-missile would destroy the ground around your structures, making it impossible to build. There are elements of this game that were poorly thought out. Now that C&C has received remakes, I'm curious as to how the devs may approach TS and RA 2 if they get one.
One way to make this slightly more quicker. Apc full of engineers, carryall them straight to kanes pyramid island (sams will destroy the carryall but apc should survive) and capture the temple, pyramid, and more importantly the pesky missile silo. No more cluster missile, well there is but on your side.
Haha, I’ll have you know that this was my strategy at first, simultaneous engie capturing of the west, south and pyramid bases. Then I switched to engies only on the west and south bases with artilleries for the pyramid, that cut the time by 3 minutes
@@adamfreeman1219 Nope, try it yourself. You'll find out real soon that engies can't beat a group of tanks in speed so they should be used to complement and not replace your tanks :)
Well they are good scout unit and they detect stealth... if you play first time and dont know where are the bases and how they are defended you cant do things like this. They made it properly in RA2 with rocketeer. I myself prefer minimum casualties playtrough... that for example includes capturing all buildings, in this mission its also possible to prevent nod from launching the multimissile by landing an APC with engeniers on the pyramid island. and immediately after ICMB goes down capture it and launch attack from there capturing all NOD buildings which are badly defended. though I have to admit having like 30 orca bombers to carpet bomb the shit out of the 3d missile Island is also fun.
Took me ages to complete this one, had to rush a bunch of hover mlrs to the missile base to destroy the power source and conyard before I could do anything else
I'm sad that the first cnc and red alert has more attention than their second iterations, which I feel is the peak of their era. Both gameplay and art quality
That southern base man. Just don't mind that GDI captured the War Factory or just build a barracks and the APC is just chilling there. Nothing to see here
When you’re on hi res you feel a bit distant from the action because the units and everything are smaller. On low res it seems more exciting. On multiplayer though, hi res works better for Tiberian Sun and probably RA2 too.

What kind of "hard difficulty" is this? I believe that you're playing in hard but when I made an engineer assault to the south node base, they were waiting me with 4 stealth tanks and 5 tick tanks. I guess time cause this.
I'd love to see this game remade with elements from C&C Renegade incorporated.You'd build up your base defences and attack force in traditional view,then take over any unit switching between a first person perspective.I'd love to control a Titan or Mammoth MK2 in FPS mode or defending your base as a mere rifleman,with modern graphics.Maybe it's just me being nostalgic?
I wouldn’t mind that for a campaign game. It makes things more complex and interesting. It won’t bode well with the competitive community however since being RTS players they want it all RTS

Nocturnsen nope, if you look closely I shift my tanks. Meaning that as soon as a tank comes out I group it into the existing group so it goes to wherever I command the group to go. This is a lot more accurate than waypointing because the group in the battlefield will constantly change locations

Engineer the most disbalanced unit in all C&C games, too much powerful. C&C could be another cybersport game, but its remains as a cool singleplayer and fun multiplayer game

If you wait for the enemy harvester to begin offloading to the tiberium refinery, you can capture both with an engineer.

The A.I. in this mission is ridiculous, the north base keeps spamming artillery until they have about 10 and I can't even get near the base...
Is it me or are jump jet infantry totally useless?
They are useless in fact. Underpowered and the dimwits land in the middle of a thousand enemies after they’re done with one target
They have stealth detection and can attack air units but thier dps is low and that they land is a bummer

I found NOD missions to be harder expecially that one where you must sabotage mammoth tank MK2 production with a few bikes and cyborgs
