Hey stupid question - when there are no jobs like at the end of this video, but the shift isn't over yet, what do you do? Do you take the bike back to the garage or back home with you until the end of the shift? Thanks for your service
@@TheScottishBiker Ah cool mate was sure I'd watched it. Do you ever feel hesitant about leaving the bike when delivering parcels? Bike theft in Edinburgh was pretty bad for a while.
Christopher Cunningham no with it being an emergency bike it’s normally pretty safe, it’s always at hospitals or care homes and the odd private address and it’s always in sight

no you have your own gear, you get supplied a nice bike to ride :) all volunteer work
Why no lights or two tone?
We are not an emergency service, just a free service, in Scotland no BB have lights or sirens.

So do the Blood bikes actually deliver any blood?
We do deliver blood samples which is regular, any units of blood is done by the blood transfusion service
in with Northumbria Blood Bikes and we deliver blood and blood products from the blood transfusion service to hospitals
