The detail on the loading screen islands through each transition is probably the most clever detail I’ve ever seen in a video game fan-series
I've always wished that the "official" NPC's on the island could partake of it more. To see Isabelle or Nook on break and have a chat with them. To see the Able sisters or the Nooklings wandering around after the stores close. To give them homes and for them to have actual lives. They eventually added a bit of that with the coffee shop and vacation homes, but I always wanted more for them.

You know what’s crazy with this series? Everything Mask Boy got angry about is shit I wish villagers would do to me in-game: having eccentric villagers (like Pietro) hold random events in the town square, villagers holding petitions, getting shitpost DIYs, or even have them complain if they’re called at 3am. It all makes the game feel more alive.
It’s very sweet to see they get a new villager who actually treats them kindly, you’ve done incredible work here Densle, absolutely fabulous

I have been watching this series since the first episode came out and I've been faithful to watch it ever since. I've seen so many comments explain the brilliance of these short films so I won't go into detail as I am inexperienced in those aspects, But I will say it is a cinematic masterpiece of pronounced proportions. I can't get enough. Densle You have taken us places we've never been. We are so grateful for it.

Yeah I picked up my game in the evening after seeing this and happened to use res services. When I saw Isabelle sitting there it felt different and I realised I will never look at her the same.

I was so sure that Masked Stranger was going to turn out to be a prior incarnation of Megan. I thought all of this was happening on the same system. What a delightful surprise twist!

Megan is one of Mask's friends. (At very least she appears in prior episodes) Which made this even more trippy from Mask's perspective especially before his Switch exploded.

@@Dreamerlighting I'd wager he actually didn't. It's pretty clearly established from when we see things on his end that to him it's exactly like the actual game is to us in our world. Just a game. Not real.
I don't really think it's fair to judge him for something he had literally no way of knowing about (nor did he have any reason to suspect it) and treat him like he thought of himself as a tyrannical god.
Informing him that what he's doing is bringing real harm to genuine, sentient beings and establish to him that it's NOT just a game is one thing. But he should only be truly punished if he continues on with his ways AFTER he's learned they're actually alive.

Genuinely bittersweet to see the series come to its conclusion, but what a phenomenal conclusion it was, and I just know y'all must feel a great sense of pride and relief to see your baby finished & released to the world. 🥰 I'm honestly not the best at reading sarcasm all the time so I''m not sure if the movie thing was genuine or not, but if it is?? Consider my ticket for the Hype Train bought & paid for, lol. 😂🥳
I genuinely have no idea how to even begin to say how much of a masterpiece this series has been, so let me just say, on behalf of all of us, bravo. This was profoundly satisfying, heartfelt, and pretty much every other powerful emotion invoked by so much work and love in this project.

It's really nice to see them succeed and end up happy. I admit it's been so long since I've played New Horizons and this makes me want to visit the villagers I have on Woolooland. They're all so precious and need love.

Your use of Animalese to parse along with the words chosen for the dialogue is a really neat touch. You can even hear the syllables in their little blurbs at points. Or even how Isabelle's volume goes way down when she sighs. Really turns the fluff of gobbledegook into a part of a convincing performance!

This has been an incredible ride! The buildup of showing all the horrible things Masky put them through, all the trauma he gave them, it made watching the revenge so sweet. Especially the burning of his house, a direct throwback to him burning Pietro's home. And the promise of a movie?! I can't wait to see what happens!
I'm pretty sure the movie is going to be all the videos from this series edited into one big video with maybe an extra scene at the end, that's how these independent TH-cam series usually go anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@breezybird4755 I feel it will be more, honestly. Wisp is my prime reasoning. He recognized Isabelle, saying it was good to see her again, but she didn't recognize him and he quickly pretended that it was their first time meeting. I feel it will have something to do with that little plot point.

I love that at the end Pierto got to have a family again with joining the other villagers…I was worried he was going to be forgotten about. Ahhhhg so sweet! This entire movie was just fantastic! My favourite part was definitely the “do I know you?” “More than you know.” CHILLS! And the hug between Isabella and nook, along with the magnificent art and framing of the scene was just…beautiful. Seeing this made my day, thank you
I shed some tears, glad it ended well. The whole series felt like an answer to my internal conflict. I originally disliked how villagers knew how long I was away for and I felt guilt as if I abandoned them and this sorta really is a mix of how I felt about the game both good and bad

Because of Tom’s monologue at the end of reset part 1, I was suspicious of Meg because I thought it could be mask boy again just dressed differently. But it’s good to see she’s nice to her villagers and mask boy got what he deserved.

This is the most high effort Animal Crossing project I have ever seen! It’s so well done, and every element is just perfect when showing an alt set of consequences that comes with resetting an animal crossing world cause your “villagers” wouldn’t bend to your whim
Honestly, this is the best video game animation adaptation since ‘Terrible Fate’ by Ember Lab - and that’s the highest praise I could personally give because that was my absolute favorite video on all of TH-cam. Ember Lab ended up making their own video game, and I purchased it just because I’ve been a huge supporter for 10+ years. Now I feel the same way about Densle. I just know that the future is going to be blindingly bright for Densle’s work. And I’m so excited for it! 🙌🏽

I'm still floored at how incredible this entire series has been. You've taken the AC property and really made it full of depth and emotion, in a way that I don't think can be replicated. Major props for all of your hard work.
I find the way you depict Tom and Isabelle's friendship absolutely adorable- just the way she's so overjoyed when she sees him that she immediately hugged him makes me smile, please don't let this series end anytime soon- it's really good!

You're a fantastic storyteller Densle. You manged to tell a suspenseful, and at times horrifying, story about Animal Crossing without resorting to writing anyone out of character or resorting to the grotesque. The production value, cinematography, and animation would have been good on its own, but your writing is what truly brings this story together.
I genuinely admire your talent and dedication to your craft, and I am looking forward to your future endeavors. Thank you for bringing this to life and sharing it with us. It has been an awesome ride.
Honestly, for a collection of shorts made by a fan that you find on TH-cam, this series is pretty damn impressive. The writing, animation, and attention to detail is so brilliant and engaging. You've got so much talent, Densle. It's quite inspiring for someone like me who wants to make an Animal Crossing series in the future with(don't worry, I won't steal your ideas!)

I came for the dark humor that I saw in Loly's Crafting, I stayed for the wonderful compelling story and a chance to see very beloved characters come to life with some stellar animation. It made me feel feelings and water come out my eyes.

Man, I’m so late to this but it got me crying anyways. Never thought of ACNH as an awesome cinematographic masterpiece, but here we are. I’m so happy my little man Pietro got a new forever home, I’m proud of Tom nook and Isabelle for owning the toxic player and most of all…I’m thankful I got to witness this beauty of a timeline! Good job! You made the villagers show so much emotion and made their personalities unique as well. The ending was really cute. :D

I love how the RL Mask Boy is confused on what's going on, and when the game crashed, you can hear him say “C’mon.” before his Switch blew a fuse and gets surprised by it.
After watching this series, im terrified what my villagers think of me. This was amazing, such a sweet ending. Can't wait to see what you come up with later down the line!
Aw man, the ending definitely made me cry. Thinking back to the early days of 2020, just pumping out day after day of playing New Horizons. It became robotic at some point, and I hadn't stopped to put my heart into the game and just enjoy what I have. Not what I need to do, or having everything perfect, just enjoying what I have day to day. In the game, and in real life. Thank you for making me feel that spark again, it's what Animal Crossing is known for and I'm glad creative visionaries such as yourself are expressing it in gorgeous, beautifully-told stories like these.

This series really adds the immersive feeling to the ACNH game it doesn’t have. This is just underrated.
Now i feel bad about deleting my own island. I know this is just an animation, but it is so touching and deep that i cant explain it with words. I cried, i laughed, i was confused about how many islands there could be and how big the in-between space where Tom nook works could be. So many possibilities presented in such a beautiful way. Thank you so much Densle!

I'm sorry, Felicity, Deena, Pudge, Ed, Gigi, Sally, Rosie, Rocket, Stitches, Sherb, Chrissy, Bill, Reneigh, Ankha, Quillson, Frita, Coco, Drift, Margie, O'Hare, Fauna, Pashmina, Bam, Olaf, Anabelle, Bertha, Gruff, and every other villager i've had. I regret it so much. Even if some were ugly. They didn't really deserve it, even if this isn't what actually happens, it's still heartbreaking to think about.

Dude i decided to watch all the videos while waiting for this to start, and when i watched 'The collector' I noticed that Isabelle's ribbon was yellow, and thought it was an oversight or something. Rewatch Morning Turnips and you'll see Tom in the In between zone at 1:55!! I don't know if it's foreshadowing or if he was already there by that point but I thought it was an incredible detail.
I honestly wanted this to be more dramatic, like the mask guy trying to explain himself or a final fight or the face reveal of the guy mask but still great animation and i hope another part soon(hopefully)
And i feel like the hate for the mask guy is a little not deserved, i understand wanting to have a perfect island or the best neighbors cuz they’re not real they can’t feel, and literally breaking his switch for doing what the game tells you to do is not that great of an ending(no hate)
