  • In this video, we do a sound comparison on two high-performance exhausts from Akrapovic. The sleek Carbon Fiber Slip-On Exhaust and the aggressive Titanium Shorty Slip-On Exhaust. Both are installed on the beast of a bike, the BMW S1000RR equipped with a full Akrapovic system.
All sounds were recorded using a Rode GO II microphone placed approximately 12 feet away from the motorcycle to capture the tone and loudness of each exhaust note.
The bike revs between ~5,000 and ~8,000 RPMs throughout the fly-by clips.
Whether you're an enthusiast looking to upgrade your S1000RR or just a fan of high-quality motorcycle content, hope you enjoyed this video. Feel free to drop any questions on gear, parts or anything you see in the video. Price estimation for each exhaust is from Revzilla at the time of recording (May 2024).

I like both. I would personally pick the carbon because of my quiet-er taste. However, that titanium sure does sound like a proper crotch rocket!
