In the end the corvette better car for the dollar spent, and when Corvette begins to bring forth there other higher performance models and continue to refine this new platform, I say other performance car manufacturers will be in full panic mode. NSX nice car to go to dinner in.

By EVERY measure, the NSX has been a colossal fail. No one is buying them, which is why the values are junk. In contrast, the vette has drawn in an army of new customers and interest. Having owned both, the C8 is by far the better car. I chuckle at each of Joe’s reviews, because he actually believes that he knows what he’s talking about. He’s all worked up about the NSX performance...while driving on city streets😂

The NSX made its introduction as the Bargain of the "Decade" of its time, with its Performance and Mid Engined architecture that were somewhat attainable for average Joes. Their 2nd iteration is a complete Failure as it pertains to what the original NSX name eventually became Synonymous and known for. In this case performance only remained. If Acura would've planted this NSX between Porsche and Corvette price ranges.....this car would have sat at the table and feasted in unison. Introduce the C8 Corvette and it's V8 Performance, Tech and Mid Engine architecture combined with its price point. Bargain of the "Century"....move over original and modern day NSX. Acura could have easily introduced the NSX without the hybrid drivetrain and offer that as a future version. This is what Chevrolet and the C8 will eventually evolve to, beit the Grand Sport with hybrid front motors Awd or the Zora model. And I'd be willing to bet that its starting price will be drastically under 157k if it is indeed the Grand Sport...I'd guess somewhere between 70-75k. The Zora might be under also before dealer markups, say 130-140k pushing to the modern day NSX but with 1,000hp........RIP NSX Sorry for the Book.
And $85K in 1995 translates to $145K in 2020 dollars. You can still look at the NSX as slotting between a Corvette and a Ferrari, similar to its 1995 positioning.
Except the new NSX offers 9/10ths the hybrid hypercar performance and function in an even more comfortable and usable package for 1/10th the price... People who understand the car and have driven it absolutely gush over it.

Other sources have other info. Look at the engineering. Corvette is engineered to be quite safe and the car actually makes corrections when needed to avoid disasters. Of course, that has little impact if the driver disables all of the protective features and pushes the car past its limits.
Nsx is one of my favorite supercars on the road and although no it is not worth 2-3x the c8, that could be applied to any mid engine supercar. The c8 has such an amazing price performance ratio

Every real race driver thinks NSX failed at handling potential. It is Beautiful n Fast. But its 200 k and gets smoked around any track. Thats a big deal. Im a honda fan. But the C8 is the Americans "GTR"
between 60k and 90k I would always choose the C8. between 120k -170k I would choose some supercar like a 458 or an Audi R8. and in my opinion they are still better than the NS-X. C8 is cheaper, it is also very comfortable, it is more practical, the interior also looks better, and on a track the C8 will be as fast as the NS-X even with less power. the 458 is better than the NS-X in every way (in my opinion). and the R8 is just awesome, the N / A V10 and the timeless look are two things that make the R8 one of the best supercars in my opinion. the C8 Z06 will be even better

The C8 Corvette was attacked constantly in this review. These 2 cars aren’t in the same price range. Both are great vehicles. If you have the extra money you go with the Acura. The C8 offers you a lot for the money. Don’t own a C8 or a Chevy just felt like it needed some defending after watching the review.

C8 Z06 and C8R were designed first together, C8 stingray toned down and released first. I Can't wait for the C8Z reveal and my C8Z to arrive at the museum. It will be insane

I the C8 z51 stock has the same quarter mile as he NSX. Also, you can’t turn off your nannies completely, so the new NSX is not good in the curves when pushed to its limits.
15:26 Damn that is high praise. I love how the Acura NSX, Audi R8, BMW i8, McLaren 570S, Porsche 911 Turbo, Mercedes AMG GTC, Aston Martin Vantage, and Lamborghini Huracan all look. Even the Jaguar F-Type SVR and Nissan GT-R R35 stir something up from within. But because money does not grow on trees (yet), at that price point, my eyes are caught by the much less expensive Lotus Evora, the Porsche Cayman, and C8 Chevorlet Corvette.
Joe, If I were given this car....I'd have it up for sale the same day. I would chose the C8 over this, also the Ferrari Portofino. I don't care for this Honda.

Vette with Z51 is $67,000 new. That NSX when new was $201,000. Huge difference. The NSX should be a heck of a lot better when it’s $134,000 more. I’ll take the Vette and save the $.
Raiti's Rides not really wanting to argue. But a 1LT with the Z51 is around $67k new. You said when the NSX was new it was $201k. Diff. Is still $134k. So yes, I agree, the Acura is a nicer car, but for the price difference it should be. Even when the Z06 is release it’ll still be priced half of what the Acura is. Love your reviews, but this is subjective and I can still have my opinion.
Great review as always. Love the NSX, would take this over any other supercar. You can use it daily safe in the knowledge it won't break. Maybe Porsche is the only other you can truly rely on. NSX stunning looks, handling, performance and that reliability.
I used to own a 1992 NSX. It was such a joy to drive it. Although the new C8 is a great car it just can match the new NSX’s exclusivity, reliability, and looks. Another great review!
Only thing that has a better look on this car is the back. Corvette has a way bigger wow factor even without knowing the price or that it is a corvette. The vette is Waaay more agressive looking and the interior isnt even a comparison in my opinion.

People who can afford $150-$220 k aren’t going for Acura’s . They should have followed Lexus with the LC500 95k brand new and guys like me can afford it. Acura goes from MDX 65k to this car $200k Nothing in between
But if you look at inflation and pricing in say 1995 an Acura NSX was about $83k. Compare that to other vehicles that were sale in that same year. It was still very expensive, especially when a Corvette was $34k.

No matter how you slice it up. The Nsx cannot come close to the C8. The performance is the same without fancy awd and electric motors. It does it with less power as well. Lets not even get into pricing.
Raiti's Rides The Nsx motor is fairly new. Only Honda/Acura product with it. Nsx owners aren’t modding the car to know it’s limits. Fit and finish can be hit or miss. They used way too many Tl/Mdx parts including steering wheel and key fob. Keep in mind this is supposed to be the halo car.
Raiti's Rides yes i have and it is nowhere near what the original Nsx was. They were supposed to stick to their roots. Cars barely have anything in common. Reliable and simple would’ve been a better approach.
@Sergio Aguirre That doesn't mean a thing to me. I'd take the R8 anyday. The R8 will most likely go up in value, in the future, since few supercars are being produced with NA engine, these days.
audi sells far more r8s and continues to produce them; they are not that uncommon and so they probably won't appreciate like you think they will. although, it seems r8s hold their value a little better than some others in the same class.
@@entertained... Audi will soon stop producing R8 supercars with NA engine. Most supercar companies are replacing NA engines for turbos. And I am saying, because of that, supercars with NA engines (R8 including) will likely increase in value.
Two things that C8 can never match with this thing: the hybrid AWD drivetrain giving better traction + (in which the AWD helps to put down) the instant torque from electric motors supporting the turbo

I forget about this car all the time. I love the design way above the vette. Maybe it hasn't been reviewed that much. For me this would be above a vette as well. I found one locally on craigslist for 122k with 10k mi.
A used 2017 NSX cost more than double a brand new 2020 C8. There is no comparison when you look at the dollar amount. 2 brand new 2020 C8 or 1 used 2017 NSX🤓

Every real race driver thinks NSX failed at handling potential. It is Beautiful n Fast. But its 200 k and gets smoked around any track. Thats a big deal. Im a honda fan. But the C8 is the Americans "GTR"

between 60k and 90k I would always choose the C8. between 120k -170k I would choose some supercar like a 458 or an Audi R8. and in my opinion they are still better than the NS-X. C8 is cheaper, it is also very comfortable, it is more practical, the interior also looks better, and on a track the C8 will be as fast as the NS-X even with less power. the 458 is better than the NS-X in every way (in my opinion). and the R8 is just awesome, the N / A V10 and the timeless look are two things that make the R8 one of the best supercars in my opinion. the C8 Z06 will be even better
R8 is wannabe Gallardo, and 458 is not a daily. NSX! Maybe E-ray....unavailable :(

The C8 Corvette was attacked constantly in this review. These 2 cars aren’t in the same price range. Both are great vehicles. If you have the extra money you go with the Acura. The C8 offers you a lot for the money. Don’t own a C8 or a Chevy just felt like it needed some defending after watching the review.
The C8 is built to go up against more expensive sports cars. It has been that way since 1955 when it received its first V8.
I’ve only seen 2 NSX’s in real life and I freaked out both times 🤣
I’ve never seen one lol. I’ve seen an Aston Martin once in downtown Dallas. As well as 2 bentle continentals and a Bentley mulsane.

I’d take the NSX quick, fast, and in a hurry. A lot of people are uneducated as to how well the NSX performs, which is why it’s such an underrated supercar. Awesome eye opening review.

I the C8 z51 stock has the same quarter mile as he NSX. Also, you can’t turn off your nannies completely, so the new NSX is not good in the curves when pushed to its limits.
15:26 Damn that is high praise. I love how the Acura NSX, Audi R8, BMW i8, McLaren 570S, Porsche 911 Turbo, Mercedes AMG GTC, Aston Martin Vantage, and Lamborghini Huracan all look. Even the Jaguar F-Type SVR and Nissan GT-R R35 stir something up from within.
But because money does not grow on trees (yet), at that price point, my eyes are caught by the much less expensive Lotus Evora, the Porsche Cayman, and C8 Chevorlet Corvette.

Vette with Z51 is $67,000 new. That NSX when new was $201,000. Huge difference. The NSX should be a heck of a lot better when it’s $134,000 more. I’ll take the Vette and save the $.

So yes, I agree, the Acura is a nicer car, but for the price difference it should be. Even when the Z06 is release it’ll still be priced half of what the Acura is. Love your reviews, but this is subjective and I can still have my opinion.
I’ve seen this car in person a few times. Looks even better in person. Keep the look, find a way to get the price to $80,000 MSRP.

Great review as always. Love the NSX, would take this over any other supercar. You can use it daily safe in the knowledge it won't break. Maybe Porsche is the only other you can truly rely on. NSX stunning looks, handling, performance and that reliability.

Only thing that has a better look on this car is the back. Corvette has a way bigger wow factor even without knowing the price or that it is a corvette. The vette is Waaay more agressive looking and the interior isnt even a comparison in my opinion.

But if you look at inflation and pricing in say 1995 an Acura NSX was about $83k. Compare that to other vehicles that were sale in that same year. It was still very expensive, especially when a Corvette was $34k.

No matter how you slice it up. The Nsx cannot come close to the C8. The performance is the same without fancy awd and electric motors. It does it with less power as well. Lets not even get into pricing.
What about reliability? Fit & finish?
Raiti's Rides The Nsx motor is fairly new. Only Honda/Acura product with it. Nsx owners aren’t modding the car to know it’s limits. Fit and finish can be hit or miss. They used way too many Tl/Mdx parts including steering wheel and key fob. Keep in mind this is supposed to be the halo car.

That doesn't mean a thing to me. I'd take the R8 anyday. The R8 will most likely go up in value, in the future, since few supercars are being produced with NA engine, these days.
audi sells far more r8s and continues to produce them; they are not that uncommon and so they probably won't appreciate like you think they will. although, it seems r8s hold their value a little better than some others in the same class.

Audi will soon stop producing R8 supercars with NA engine. Most supercar companies are replacing NA engines for turbos. And I am saying, because of that, supercars with NA engines (R8 including) will likely increase in value.
Two things that C8 can never match with this thing: the hybrid AWD drivetrain giving better traction + (in which the AWD helps to put down) the instant torque from electric motors supporting the turbo

I forget about this car all the time. I love the design way above the vette. Maybe it hasn't been reviewed that much. For me this would be above a vette as well. I found one locally on craigslist for 122k with 10k mi.

A used 2017 NSX cost more than double a brand new 2020 C8. There is no comparison when you look at the dollar amount. 2 brand new 2020 C8 or 1 used 2017 NSX🤓
