I had a transrectal biopsy 12 years ago, and luckily no problems. But I would never get a transrectal biopsy again because since then, I have learned of all the possible risks. Sure, it does not happen to most men, but when infection does occur, it can have severe consequences. Many urologists continue to do the transrectals because they don't want to bother to learn something better.

It's been four days since I've had a transrectal biopsy. I'm concerned because it seems as if the bleeding is getting worse, instead of clearing. What should I do?😮

Blood in ejaculate or external bleeding? The former will take 2-3 weeks to clear. Shocking, but no harm.
