RV Gray Tank Pipe LEAKING!! Easy Fix!!

- Gray Tank leak on my RV. My PVC pipe had a slow leak on my gray tank. The size of the coupler on my 2016 work and play is a 2 inch to 1.5 inch. I had to apply pvc cement and tighten the hose clamp up to fix mine. Easy fix!

Yeah they jerry rigged it for sure. I fixed it, and added the dicor and never had another problem! I sold it and upgraded to a bigger toy hauler!

That looks like a rubber fitting it doesn't use primer or cement you just clamp it. So it was just not tight enough or got lose or they cut the hard black pvc pipe short so it didn't clamp it
You are exactly right. What happened is they cut the hard black pipe that comes off the grey tanks too short! So the rubber fitting hardly had anything to clamp to. I haven’t had a problem with it since I put the cement and sealant all around it though.

How do you plan to replace the coupling if you've glued it?
I have a new camper now. I would just take a razor blade and cut into the glue to take it off and replace the hose if I had to remove it again.

It never hurts to have some on! Definitely should have.
People get way too obsessed with gray water. It’s just soap and water. Where do people think their shower water in their houses go? The yard. Soil purifies water. It’s clean before it reaches any creek.
People wouldn’t think twice about using an outdoor shower but somehow it’s horrible to water some trees with gray water. Not in a campground of course. My own yard/grass.
