    Once again, thank you for covering All aspects of snake breeding and not just the good, but the bad and ugly and everything in between. It's not all sunshine and butterflies and there is real heartache at times, and I sincerely wish more TH-camrs in our community covered it this way and not click bait their audience. Thanks bud

    Also it depends on if there a Sharp strain or Kahl strain. On holding its colors i have a Sharp strain albino that came from the offspring of Brian Sharps original boas and she still is holding her bright orange colors. Anyways love the vids bro

    Another great knowledgeable video, Jason! For some odd reason I read the title as Moonglow and Sunglow Boa Constrictors maybe that could be a cool video idea. What I love about watching my kahl sunglow (venus 15mo) grow is how much more vibrant her blush/pink colors are becoming over her light yellow cream base.

    Thank you so much for this video. It finally gave me the answers I'm allready about two year searching for and never really got. I got bought our boa from a friend, who bought it from another guy, who bought her from again another person ect. So she had about five adresses in a little over a year. She came with only with a handwritten piece of papier just ripped out of a notebook. No name of breeder or anything, just year of birth and genetics. I knew she was healthy because my friend had her for about five months next to his ball pythons and all where still fine and not planning on breeding her I didn't care as long she was healthy, friendly and looking nice. But interrested in snake genetics I still got curious whether the genetics where correct, but only found pictures of babies and not from older snakes. Now I finally know for shure. She is really 100% for sure a sunglow boa. Thank you, this was really the information I was looking for.

My hypo girl has an orange tail instead of the usual red, do you think this is likely to change the markings of any sunglows she produces? Love your videos man.

  • @Blkhippiee
    @Blkhippiee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    That helps! I like the tail reference cause I was having difficulty with identifying my Albino (now I know cause of the blue/purple coloring on the tail). But I also wanted to know what makes them arabesque exactly? Cause my Albino’s saddles are connected on the sides (mix of thick and thin lines) and she has a couple of freckles.

    • @JasonsExoticReptiles

    Hey Jason, I know this is kinda an old video but at some point you were saying the female sunglow was prob gonna be ready to bred that year and you thought it was early and said maybe because Of the cocoblox but then kinda got distracted talking bout something else. Were you just thinking the extra humidity from the cocoblox was helping follicle growth or what were u gonna say? I’ve had my boas paired and the male shows a ton of interest but it seems the female is less enthusiastic

    • @JasonsExoticReptiles

    I don't really know how to explain, but to me, hypos always have more... Rounded ? Tail saddles, a very distinct shape that just jumps out to my eye, whenever I'm looking at sunglow x albino, the one that really confused me is super sunglow x sunglow though.

    • @JasonsExoticReptiles

    It really seems from your description, as well as the simple fact that hypo+albino isn't the same as albino, like "hypo" is a pattern mutation, not a simple reduction in pigment. In which case it's a pity that it's called "hypo" rather than something like "orange blush".

    Jason: I got a boa two weeks ago and the people I got her from (I never buy from breeders, no offense obviously but I want to give animals homes where they are not wanted) swore she was a girl. But I did your little test where you feel for two bumps and feel NOTHING! is it that likely that I am missing it? Or is it a boy? I have tried three days in a row on two or three consecutive tries each day. Nothing.

      Some supers do and some don't. I personally think it has more to do with the initial genetics than the actual morph itself in the case of jungle, but i could be wrong. Super Motley are definitely a no
