Hi Giles… awesome! Knowing our videos helps others keeps us motivated to do more! Interesting… this lawn mower was a very first small engine carb repair. Today, we address the carb on every engine we touch… dirt bikes, UTVs, etc.

I made the exact same repairs - it has spark also = on first pull it started >but only ran for 30 seconds - now it won't Start ! all it does is POP once in awhile pulling the Rope - any help would be wonderful-- please

Hi Ronald - thx for commenting. I'm no expert... just a weekend warrior w/ desire to fix my own stuff. I've learned that the vast majority of my small engine challenges are carburetor related. I've gotten into the habit of dismantling the carburetor and cleaning every part with an ultrasonic unit. I've learned that thorough cleaning usually negates having to buy a 're-build' kit. For the Weedeater mower, if a thorough cleaning or re-build kit doesn't solve your challenge, you may want to consider replacing the gas tank/carb part all together. They're inexpensive and readily available. Hope that helps. North Phoenix Suburbanstead.

Good video, can i ask you what type and grade of oil did you used when changed the oil, just 10W30 motor oil ?

Hi Palang - Thx! Yes, I used 10W30. It's what I had handy and I knew I was giving to give the lawnmower away, because we don't have grass at the Suburbanstead.
I'm no expert on motor oil for lawn mowers, but I would likely use 10W30 or 5W30 depending on climate & temperature.
BTW - did you subscribe to the channel? I'd love to get your thoughts on the other videos.
