This was our first ever animation! Wohoo! What did you all think? 😊 Special thanks to instagram.com/geo.toons/ for the awesome animations and to Fabian the Barefoot Beekeeper www.fabian-kalis.de/
Bee's don't like people who don't like them, we learned this decades ago, Fabian's confirmation is terrific. People who run & scream get stung, people who remain calm & relaxed don't. It's a ZEN thing bees and other animals tune into. It shows what kind of vibe a human projects. Your recent sting shows you are not going to die and though uncomfortable not as painful as your mind has built it up to be. Our wish for you is that in future you will be able to enjoy a bee fling by and knowing she is hard at work making something lovely. Loved this vlog and Danke Schoen!!!
The thing that intrigues me the most about travel is all the different types of people you meet along the way. It would be so cool if you guys met up with more interesting people like Fabian and gave little sneak peaks into their lives!
i'm not the sort of person that usually has favorites, i love All The Things, but THIS! this was super duper awesome. thanks y'all, so fun to meet fabian and the bees!
As a fellow beekeeper ( of 6 years ) here in Missouri, I was really excited that you had this gentleman on. And happily surprised that he really does know his stuff. Bees are very smart and interesting insects. There is a lot to them. And yes, that honey you love so much is truly bee puke. Still tastes good right? ;)
The production quality and story telling again are so insanely high, it just blows everything else on TH-cam out of the water! I would find the type of “look what single interesting thing/person/place we found along the way” type of video super great even if you invested “only” a normal amount of effort into the production. Not saying that you *should* invest less time, but your efforts are so insanely high, and you’re so capable in allowing the people you encounter to present themselves in a respectful and insightful way, it’s surely fascinating in any stage of post production :-)
Wow! I loved this one. Completely fascinated by the bees. Your guy was eccentric and way cool. So glad there are gentle humans contributing their life energy to keep bees alive. And thanks to you guys for fun animation and this entertaining vlog.
Wow! This was a fantastic video! The gift of Fabian sharing his life's work, absolutely precious! Thank you Fabian! The content and animation (hahaha) and filming and editing, ~superb! Thank you! As soon as I am back on my feet, pandeconmically speaking, I'm joining the Kombi crew with hopes your travels bring you more of this kind of content. Safe travels my friends!
I've raised bees before; none of my bees became that calm while smoking them. I always had to fully suit up. It must be the magic smoke, I guess I'll need the book to find out? Very cool, thanks guys
This was so interesting, great video guys. Bee stings are good for you, just a shame they hurt, but when you get stung regularly, the sting hurts less and less.
I LOVED this episode... the nature-loving travel geek in me is tickled pink! I hope you make more fun facts videos like this. What a lovely, barefoot sweet soul! 🤗🥰👌 🦶🐝🤓
Fascinating stuff! Who knew there was narcotic honey! Thanks for the Surfshark recommendation. Works a treat and easy to install on all devices. Safe travels and please look after yourselves! :-)
@@KombiLife As much as it is great you are trying to advocate for animals, we're concentrating on the wrong bees, because people want to eat honey, do you have respect for honey bees or native bees? In the UK we have many species (200+) and they're all negatively affected by honey bees. Honey bees actually kill native bees and the honey bees can pass on health issues that native bees wouldn't normally have affect them. Most native bees actually out pollinate honey bees as well. Here is a quick intro in to why we shouldn't eat honey th-cam.com/video/clMNw_VO1xo/w-d-xo.html&
That cartoon of the bees having sex had me ROTFLMAO..... OMG so funny...... lol..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the laugh. Safe travels & God bless, Chris from Missouri
Well, this was fascinating. I’ve heard from beekeepers that if you consume local honey, you will have less allergic reactions to local pollen. Honey is a very rich source of calories, and beneficial to overall health. Also, it just tastes SO good! Happy Trails
Hi Ben and Leah - wow the beauty of travel learning so much and meeting awesome people- thanks for sharing it was really interesting - may need to go look for that honey from Turkey :) Sending virtual hugs - Chris & Marianne x
My late uncle was a bee keeper, located in Hardanger in Norway. The basement of their house always smelled like the smoke he used on the bees.. The also made jam from their apple trees and sometimes strawberry jam as well. Hardanger is known for two things, fantastic scenery and the fruit trees. I also belive he also delivered apples and other fruits to the local cider maker. In their garden they had morels, which was the best tasting ones in the world. And the cartoons in this episode was amazing!
That was a fun very informative video. I was curious as to how the bee pollen tastes, Ben's face after tasting was funny. Keep up the great work, happy traveling. Your channel is unique and I am loving it.
I loved this episode, it was so interesting! The animation was also a nice addition and would love to see more of that for sure :) Wishing you all the best for your travels ahead. x
Fabian's bee explanation was very interesting. I didn't know the worker bees vomit the pollen and the mating process with the Queen Bee was something I've never heard explained.
Leah I was I was driving at 65 mph when the girl I was dating suddenly screamed BEE and pushed the door open and tried to jump out of the car. Luckily she could not overcome the wind resistance on the door. I'm not trying to give you an idea just to let you know that your not alone and not as bad as others.
My cousin rolled his car because a bee landed in his lap. His face was scarred from his over reaction. I had one get into my motorcycle helmet on the freeway. It buzzed frantically near my ear until i could get to the side of the road. I don't mind when they land on me , its better than a mosquito. But not in my helmet!
Great to see your smiling faces! Thank you for sharing about the Bees! The animation is so cute! LOL! Now it makes sense why you should eat/enjoy local honey to help with allergies. God bless! Enjoy the ride! AL from CT
I loved this episode. So entertaining. The animation was great! I've always wanted to know how bees make honey, but never been bothered to look it up. What I'm curious about is, do they make it for themselves to eat? If we take it, do they have enough to survive?
Wow really enjoyed this episode meeting with professional bee keeper ,maybe you could do more videos like (vine maker's etc.) that since you already traveling great content Thanks
that was pretty cool. I had heard about the mad honey he had talked about. I think the area where they harvest that is supposed to be quite pretty so it is probably worth a stop.
I love your travels! You are inspiring to many, keep it up! This video made me laugh a lot. What a story, crazy bees. Great animation! Adds a fun element to the informative side of the video. Nice addition! Don't need it in your normal vids I guess, but fits perfectly in these informative videos. Make it very interesting and fun to watch 🙌🏼 ^Tobias
Great Video, Really enjoyed this info on Bees and it was nice of you guys to meet a Sub who was really an interesting guy. Always fun following you ! 💗🚐👍
I was looking at his missing tooth...how many viewers stopped watching because of his unusual nature...they really missed an interesting person. Wow, amazing moments in your 'journey'. You guys also created a wonderful production starting with great writing to flesh out this guy.
Bee's are so precious. As a kid I was afraid of them untill I learned about them. 1/3 of our vegetables are pollinated by bee's. I can't think of a more vital insect to human survival. Is there a more directly vital insect?
I like this Bee man! He reminds me of my Chilean friend, the Moth man!! Seriously, he has a PhD in moths! After coming to South America, i was blown away by the variety of Bees (Moths too actually). Several kinds don;t have stingers, but are way more aggressive than the African honey bee. If you walk remotely near their hive they target your hair (and beard), try and bite you, and try to enter your mouth and ears!!
Knew a lot about bees, but still learned a few things. Really hate wasps (I was allergic), and this summer I got stung after +25y ... bit of an exciting moment.
Great character! Hopefully you guys will be heading down through the Balkans (and Serbia) which is a goldmine of quirky characters! Love the series! 👊🏼
Huge difference between bees and wasps. People get them mixed up. Bees are fantastic and usually don’t bother you, but wasps are bloody awful! I love the big fuzzy bumblebees in our garden, my daughter tries to ‘pet’ them!
This was our first ever animation! Wohoo!
What did you all think? 😊
Special thanks to instagram.com/geo.toons/ for the awesome animations
and to Fabian the Barefoot Beekeeper www.fabian-kalis.de/
Kombi Life loved it!
David Attenborough has new competition!! I actually learnt so many new interesting things about Bees 🐝 so thankyou and well done 👍 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This guy was so interesting! I learned a lot. Thank you for taking the opportunity and sharing with us.
Our pleasure!
This guy is cool, man he knows his bees! Found it really interesting, especially that they recognise the bee keeper!
Yeah we found that interesting too!
I save bees from water buckets everyday and they love me for it, they’re actually really sweet
Fabien has got so much character , and his connection with the bees is real. Great video. Thank you.

The animation was an essential part of this video. As a beekeeper I was excited to see this.
We agree! We couldn't have told the story as well without the animation 💛
Awwww that makes me so happy! Thanks for teaching me about bees while animating them :) ❤️
This guy is so wholesome. Great episode.
glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
The thing that intrigues me the most about travel is all the different types of people you meet along the way. It would be so cool if you guys met up with more interesting people like Fabian and gave little sneak peaks into their lives!
One of the best travel vlogs. Thank you for being honest and real and sincere. It's rare.
Thanks for your lovely comment Jen 😁
i'm not the sort of person that usually has favorites, i love All The Things, but THIS! this was super duper awesome. thanks y'all, so fun to meet fabian and the bees!

The animation was spot on... the mating action was hilarious! Well done!

Wow! I loved this one. Completely fascinated by the bees. Your guy was eccentric and way cool. So glad there are gentle humans contributing their life energy to keep bees alive. And thanks to you guys for fun animation and this entertaining vlog.
Great video!
Haha Leah comes from a place jammed with terrifying snakes, spiders, snails, & jellyfish...and she has a thing about little bees!
Haha 😆 I don’t understand where this fear comes from
This was my favorite story of Kombi life! So brave girl, so brave! Bravo!
Thanks Hanna! ✌️💛
This was really cool! Such an interesting episode. I really dug the documentary style and the animations were a nice touch too
Glad you enjoyed it!

Barbara Galbreth Was it dried chamomile, I wonder?
The animation was glorious! it was like a mix of Superjail and 1920's cartoons. I loved it!
This was so interesting, great video guys. Bee stings are good for you, just a shame they hurt, but when you get stung regularly, the sting hurts less and less.
Wow! Very interesting and detailed explanation of bee's life style. Meanwhile, Alaska was running after chickens! That was cute!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was such an amazing episode. So educational and huge respect for bees. That guy is a legend !
So interesting and animation made topic fun even if less interested in it.... and now after this story I am interested in it! Great story!
Really informative and entertaining at the same time👌👍.
I absolutely loved the animation, well done to your friend Leah 😍🤘
THE most interesting video you've made so far.
Thanks! We enjoyed making this video. I was a nice change to try and tell a story using animation
Un bee-lievable

How amazing ... learnt so much and yet another fantastic video, thank you. Ian & Sofia
Fascinating stuff! Who knew there was narcotic honey! Thanks for the Surfshark recommendation. Works a treat and easy to install on all devices. Safe travels and please look after yourselves! :-)
Such an interesting episode! I knew nothing about bees other than that they were an essential part of the environment.
Neither did we. We have a lot more respect for bees now :)

for sure, we'll be searching for the "mad honey" too :)
I loved this man! I was married for 25 years to my ex who was born and raised in Luebeck! My 2nd home. Fabian you are the best.
My late uncle was a bee keeper, located in Hardanger in Norway.
The basement of their house always smelled like the smoke he used on the bees..
