they need to find a vaccine, easier said than done because the virus mutates, and that wont happen till next year at the latest. So your travelling will be temporary
May I kindly ask you to please stay away from the hyperbole in your videotitles?
I know it probably gets you more clicks or something, but I've always liked your channel because you seemed like a normal reasonable guy who didn't play the youtube-game to its fullest extent, and I'd like to uphold this perception :-)
In this respect : also love how you always look like a normal guy and not like one of those hipster-hairy-manbun-dudes, it's much appreciated...

I liked how in the podcast you said to the idea of learning a new language as a way to fill time that you didn't want to, because you were depressed. That was a breath of fresh air. Plus validating the range of emotions you are experiencing. During the shutdown here in the USA, i grew sick of all the suggestions of ways to fill time, (bake bread, learn language, etc). I was way too anxious and depressed to do any of that. All i wanted to do was sleep or ride my road bike for escapism. Im sure your situation is extremely anxiety provoking given your going to be stuck there for at least another month after being free to roam that has got to be challenging.

I got called back to work last week after being off 5 weeks (been at this job 26 years). Since being back I have seen so many ungrateful people who would rather sit at home and draw unemployment rather than work, that today I sent both my boss and my bosses boss a text telling them how grateful I was that they worked hard to get us back to work. Ur story made me glad I sent that text today.
Oh this kinda made me nostalgic for the mental state of mind and free access to hope, fun and frivolity that we used to always have access to.

Crazy times all over the place. It's mid May now and the quarantine is winding down, some things open again in AZ at least. All states in the USA are handling the issue differently. This thing is still so surreal. I continue to have this gnawing feeling that there is something very sinister going on behind the scenes. We are all trying to stay positive and find things that bring us joy, but fear is always lurking: nagging that there is something else going on. Anyway, stay saff all of you on the road out there as rules are becoming a bit more relaxed. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hmmm you could easily have left with van and your dog ~ we were also in Morocco at that time with our van and two dogs. You are correct the ports all closed suddenly on 13/3 as you told. But on the morning of 14/3 the port of Ceuta quietly re-opened with ferries to Algeciras - all embassies communicated this via Twitter - this option remained open for over a week. We luckily escaped this way. No problem. Driving back to the uk was no problem, both Spain and France allowed people to transit by road on their way to the UK. After Ceuta port finally closed on o think 21/3 things got tougher. But there were still two ferries organised from Tangier Med to Sete in France specifically for foreigners with campers.

wow, I have been following your posts for many years and find them very pleasant to look at; you can empathize with you! Hold on to be yourselves and don't become like many other 'vanlifers' who get their viewers in a different way ... Keep it safe.
Things are loosening up slightly here in northern California. Saturday I will start back to work as a boat inspector at the local lake, as they are allowing some recreational activities, so long as everyone maintains social distancing requirements. We'll see how that goes. Meanwhile I'm still stuck in my van at my daughter's complex, it is not ideal, but I had nowhere else to go. Looking forward to moving into the countryside again. You both stay safe! Thank you for checking in with us. ❤️

Mate, I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in Guatemala. Comment about the gratitude of the Spanish teacher made my heart swell. I loved the place dearly. Mention Antigua and I think of the school that let me help, the beautiful people I met, beer/wine I drank and the fun I had....then I remember as an after thought, bugger, I also got Dengue 😳🙈🤣. I noticed today in the news that there was a ferry from Tanger Med to Genua, Italy yesterday (Tuesday evening). People from different European country's on board. Did you know about this opportunity to escape Morocco? Hopefully you managed to get on it.

Staying in Morocco and especially around Agadir city is the best option. There less cases less death in Morocco than Europe, A huge difference.
Supermarkets are full of food and all other stuff. Also in these small shops.
We (in the netherlands) are allowed to travel again and we have enough food. Also, themeparks and other places are reopening
Everytime you are sandboarding, onewheel skating or practicing any other radical sport, I'm only worried about "what if you break a bone!? You're in another country, dude!"
I guess I was born to be a indoor guy...

Stay Well Guys. Rough here in Mexico as well, but so far, bearable. Thank goodness we have a 3.5 Meter wall around our place. Plenty of space. I do not know how folks are able to stand this inside, say, an apartment or Town House. Take Care!! We will get through this together.

As I've been following the global picture on the Johns Hopkins University pages, I keep checking Morocco after all the "typical" countries because I know you're there...
It's not very reassuring when all I can say afterwards is, "Well it could be worse!....

You’re between a (Ma)roc and a hard place, that’s for sure. I dunno what I‘d do in your shoes, but returning to the UK would not be first choice. Shipping the van to Australia, getting through quarantine here, then travelling around this country might be your best option, since we have low numbers of cases and very few cases /deaths (fewer than 7000/100) and restrictions are easing as of mid May. The likelihood of being able to drive around Europe or through the the Stans across to the sub continent... don’t go there. Not feasible for18 months to two years at least. If you have to stay in Europe, my choice would be Greece, if you can get in. Best of luck! 🐨🌷

@16:16 um... Are you sure that's toilet paper? That looks like (what we call them in my country) paper kitchen towels. We put those under freshly fried food so they would soak up the oil and there would be less oil on the food.
That explains the hefty chafing! 🤣

We came back to Germany from Spain just a few days before they closed the borders and felt sick, too. We stayed self-isolated for 2 weeks so we wouldnt endanger our friends and family.
Our road out. Is currently on the radar.
Keep safe, having said that... we are getting an insight into what's happening over there. It kind of helps remove the solipsist attitude we find ourselves in..
No one uses that much toilet paper in a week :P but on the other hand, its handy for travelling. I would say though, that one of the biggest problems, which you also mentioned was the food security and supply lines - but going looting and buying extravagant amounts of food is exactly part of the problem. I understand why you did it, and its easy for me to say as I am in no predicament (as you where/are?). But I assumed you knew better than indirectly contributing to the problem - cheers! Hope you are safe after all

Van Life is mos def not over. And Kombi Life is better than ever. My advice to Eamon and Bec just before they bolted was to stick with you guys, because if anyone could endure and overcome, it,was you. Then they left. And now they’re building a new van! So I guess THEY don’t think it’s over either.
