That is a gorgeous piece! The grain, chatoyance and spalting are all so beautiful, the combination makes it very interesting. It’s keeps your eyes moving continuously over the entire piece, in an attempt to take it all in. I like the finial too, it gives it an oriental feel. I have no idea if you applied the Tung Wax correctly😆 but, the final result is wonderful. So, I’m going to go with yes!.. you must’ve! Great job Doug!

I just turned a Ambrosia maple bowl today and used Brads Tung Wax myself. My 2nd bowl using it. Then I come in from the shop and watch your video to my surprise. Nice job as always Doug.
Beautiful job! I love this piece it would not be the same without the lid and finial. The black ring matches the wood and the areas you repaired. The video was long but I wouldn’t have cut any of it. God bless.
