In our new video, we tried to recreate Subway Surfers, nostalgia game with photorealistic graphics, we used all the graphics features of Unreal Engine 5 to show how this game looks in next gen graphics.
This video is made by a fan with limited facilities and not going to be a game, it's just a recreation of how fans imagine the possible game

Yep I remember in 2010 playing Tetris on an iPod and being absolutely entranced with it. I know Tetris has been around longer but the iPod itself was incredible at the time

If the sound effects of getting the coins was made more real, and the music updated - like a current remix of that song - that would be super cool. Sideways movements need to look less... "slide-y".
But that aside, how you did this is crazy good. Always amazed at game designers. I wish I could do this kind of stuff.
The music is actually from Diddy Kong Racing 64

This is horrifyingly realistic for a goofy concept. My suspension of disbelief just jumped out a window.
Remember playing this when I was a child. This is brilliant.

As a video game, this would be a fun, wacky experience.
In real life, it's a tragedy of a young teen who dies in a train crash.
It's been years since I played that game, but sometimes I still get the urge to go jumping on actuall trains and skateboarding on railways(though I can't parkoure and never even had a skateboard, I always do such stuff in my imagination only)
The fact that this is two feet away from becoming a real game is crazy.
probably a lot more than that, these ue5 projects are never playable games, maybe some basic input was set up here or something

Instructions unclear, went down to the subway station to surf on trains
i like the train in the middle tracks. apparently it just drives between the track blockades and other ramps before and after it.

I say the roll is accurate vibe for Alex Mercer. The running phase is precise. The main character needs to sprint leaning forward for a good Alex Mercer vibes. ✅👌

This is like a 3D Super Mario speedrun with incredible graphics and high anxiety, really awesome.
The ending couldve been more realistic, but overall, amazing job!

with movement improvement and some adjustments this could be a great free to play game
this is still one of the best mobile games to this day, its super simple and super fun to play
And still the one that has constant updates too

Just remember that animating realistic human motion is incredibly difficult! This is a lot more impressive that it might seem, even with the toolkit given in UE5!
This needs to be in stores , online and wherever else it can be sold, or just be free and paid items, the changing lanes needs to be worked on, but this game is spot on with every single thing, imagine this game with a great storyline

other than the trains and the player, i feel like standing in the sidewalks in vr could actually convince you that you were there if you woke up with vr strapped to your head
The movement could definitely be made more realistic I mean if you're going to make it in the unreal engine out of all it would've looked so much cooler that way

A perfect example of how people with no skills in Game programming or better efforts to even try it out complain about the game movements. Kudos to you for making this. This is really good and takes quite the effort to even do it. Thank you.
