    If you can work on your own car… buy a used bmw private party… if you going to pay other people to do work buy from dealership with warranty and maybe extended warranty. You can have a perfectly maintained car blow a gasket 3 days after owning it

      I got a 90 day warranty and drove the car hard to see if problems would occur and sure enough battery died in 2 weeks headlights went out and got a free oil change and tires replaced. Ever since then I had no problems just sold the car for $18k at 115k miles never had any problems ever again other than an O2 sensor.

    I am really liking your channel on I was watching your video on buying a high mileage BMW 135 and I was wondering if you can help me decide on whether to one. I also loved your video on which one you would buy between a Skyline or a BMW. I would have picked the Skyline as well. I owned an R32 but I had to sell it. The saddest day of my life but back to what I'm messaging you about. It is a BMW 135 M Sport with a new exhaust. But it has a lot of kilometres on it and it has been track driven. 2012 BMW 135 i M SPORT 6 SPEED MANUAL DINAN EXHAUST.
    I was wondering if it would be a good buy. I would really like your opinion or maybe I should just get the Subaru Legacy Spec B. I like your channel on BMW 135, it has a lot of great advice.

      @boostedbijan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I appreciate the kind words man, and selling a skyline sounds like a terrible day. But we can always get another. I actually ended up getting the skyline lol. But back the the bmw, If it’s a track car I’d get the compression testing and inspect it very very well. There’s a difference between a few track days and a purpose built track car. I hope it’s clean and is a good price with those km’s on it

      @boostedbijan  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Do they have maintenance records? Because that is pretty high mileage. Radiator and water pump should have been done. How is the fuel pump doing? If it’s manual when’s the clutch been replaced? It’s also a diesel which adds another level of inspection required. If it’s extremely clean with service records and it’s cheap, it may be a good daily driver. If it has red flags or questionable service, proceed with EXTREME caution. Best of luck brotha!

      112k for modern BMWs isn’t bad. But there’s a couple things to be aware of. Water pump and radiator should have been done or they will go out. Same with the valve cover and turbo. Around that mileage those 4 maintenance items come up. Also get the car from someone who maintained it. Not someone who tuned it and never took care of it.

    Im looking at a 2017 330i with 76k miles and is clean, but the other option is a 2014 335i with 117k miles. Both are around the same price but the 335i has the M sport package, chrome delete, tinted windows, m style mirror caps, dual exhaust, painted brake calipers, carbon fiber spoiler, nice rims. I know the 76k mile one would be better but i really like the sport package and its hard to find one in my area. 90k miles a couple things can come up. Water pump usually goes out at 100k, same with radiator. Those cars are pretty reliable. If it’s clean and well priced that should be a great daily driver buy. My only concern is, with the x-drive cars of that generation, I’ve heard of a small % of cars being affected by this bearing issue in the rear diff of the awd system. But like I said only a small %. The only thing I’ve heard of going wrong on those, is there is a gear inside the rear diff that will go out around 100k miles and create a clunking sound from the rear end. Once that’s fixed, and the car is well maintained that car will last you years. Congrats on the purchase!

      N52 I have less experience with. At 200k km you’re at 120 miles which isn’t much for those motors IF they’ve been taken care of. If they have all the service records and the price is good that may not be a bad daily. Suspension can be expensive depending on your year but I think it’s about $500 Here stateside.

    • @boostedbijan

      There’s couple things to know, that’s a lot of miles, even if it’s highway. If you have full service records and the car drives beautifully I’d consider it for a VERY low price. Also know, that awd system needs a $1000-$2000 refresh every 100k miles. So if they didn’t do it at 200k miles, you may get stuck with it.

      If the price is good and it’s been well maintained the 328i can go for a very long time. I’ve seen people get another 100k out of those motors.

    Do you recommend 1996 328I convertible 250000km? it looks nice and well taken care of but it had 7 owners before

    • @boostedbijan
      @boostedbijan  ปีที่แล้ว

      e36 328's are very reliable but thats quite a bit of miles. Converts to about 155k miles. At that point the engine should have a good service. All the valve cover gaskets, front and rear main seals etc.. all changed. Clutch done if it was a manual. And all the suspension bushings inspected for breakdown. If the price is great and the above mentioned things have been done then i'd recommend it. But if the maintenance hasn't been done, know it will have to get done under your ownership and it aint cheap.

    Great video 🔥 What do you think about a e90 335xi 147k for 6,600$ with no accident, serviced on time & had multiple owners?

    • @boostedbijan
      @boostedbijan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks brotha! Not a big fan of the xi just because they have awd issues. At around 100k and 200k the rear diffs usually need rebuilding. Also those don't have the DCT, they have slush box transmissions. Also 150k miles on a bimmer, you're gonna run into a lot of maintenance items. Valve cleaning, radiator if it was never done, suspension refresh etc... I'd be careful with that one unless you're prepared to drop a lot into maintenance and don't mind the transmission.
      I'd recommend looking for a manual non-xi and pay a couple grand more. More fun less headache lol

    6:00 that is bullshit.... I am not paying hundreds of dollars for a fucking oil change at bmw so i can have it on record, when i can do it myself... My car haven't been serviced by bmw since 190xx km and that is 150xx km ago. Both myself and previous owner has serviced the car, changed the brakes, brake caliper, pumps vaccum line everything myself, for free. only parts. Has now done 337xx km and has never been to a dealer. The only thing, that tells you is the owner likes to wipe his ass with sandpaper and incompetent of working on his own car.. The only time you should take a bmw to bmw, and not get your ass scammed is for a recall..

      I wouldn’t. That generation has some issues with oil leaks, wiring and suspension.

      Sounds like a good deal to me man. As long as its a clean interior and exterior, an x3 is great for that price and mileage.

    As a student should I go for a BMW with 80-100k miles on it?
    My budget is 15k. Or should I go for something else with lesser miles. I want a reliable car for just 1-2 years.

    • @boostedbijan
      @boostedbijan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, if you have experience with cars getting an older bmw with 100k isn’t the worst plan. Just be willing to set aside a lot of TH-cam time to fix things that will go wrong. If you don’t want to deal with any maintenance, and just want reliable, can always get a Camry or a Corolla. 👌

      @@boostedbijan thanks for answering! I totally agree with you. I am gonna skip buying the one with 100k miles, and go for something that is not gonna waste my time.
      However, how about a car with 50k miles on it? In particular, There’s a jaguar xf available with 45k miles.
