Who do you think does the best Beatles impression? 10 Paul McCartney Stories Told by Celebrities You Have To Hear th-cam.com/video/5LeNuAK3L1U/w-d-xo.html
I would've placed the Rutles first, tbh. Their songs were so damn close to actual Beatles songs, and they had their blessing. The fact the Rutles are placed lower than a bunch of Americans slaughtering the Liverpool accent is an affront.
Yea I can’t understand why their not number 1, after all I hear all the time that people say “The Beatles were really only a Rutles tribute act” and they are by far the most well knows tribute because out of the others on the list I have only heard of the Harry Enfield one
The Rutles are obvious #1. The reason is they go beyond pure parody, they're actually more a homage that can stand on its own feet. (same as Star Trek and Galaxy Quest)
james bond actually mentions the beatles in the film "goldfinger" (1964). being a beatles aficionado of 55 years i really get a kick out beatles parodies. but some can be overly and intentionally cruel. never saw the others on this list but "the rutles" and "walk hard" are just EXCELLENT! there's 2 versions of the "walk hard" beatles parody. the theatrical and director's cut versions are different and they're BOTH hilarious. thanks for the video.
The Walk Hard moment is amazing especially when it turns into a Yellow Submarine cartoon acid trip. Rutles have a great yellow submarine parody accompanied by the song Cheese and Onions
The number 1 should be "Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans" !!! that one is not only the best Beatles parody ever but the best musical parody in the History of the internet !!!
Dammit, WatchMojo UK, after years of having Ringo's Goldfinger stuck in my head and having gotten it out, it's now stuck in my head again! Peter Serafinowicz does the best one honestly. I remember seeing Walk Hard when it came out and not knowing that that was Paul Rudd at the time, and looking back I still can't believe it's him. He just disappears into this bad John Lennon impression. There's an extended version and I think they just left the camera on. I also love the fact that Jack Black and Jason Schwartzman are a guitarist and drummer respectably. And like the rest of the movie they still hit every cliche beat you still see in music biopics today (spouting lyrics, implying there's going to be a breakup), and saying their names repeatedly to remind us that they are the Beatles. I will say, it is slightly accurate because at the time, Paul was trying to lead the band because Brian Epstein passed away, which had mixed results as they were already moving apart and Paul wasn't Brian, and they captured that animosity between John and Paul hilariously well. And it ends on a pretty accurate Yellow Submarine acid trip. I'm not sure if this counts but the Simpsons did Homer's Barbershop Quartet where Homer's eponymous band hits every single beat of the Beatles's career except with much lower stakes--which George Harrison actually guest-starred in (fun fact, George Harrison also appeared in the Rutles movie, All You Need is Cash). The Powerpuff Girls also did a homage to the Beatles as well, when four of the villains teamed up as the Beat-Alls, and used their collective strengths to terrorize Townsville and defeat the Powerpuff Girls time and time again. The dialogue is peppered in with Beatles lyrics, there's sight gags, album covers are referenced, and like Pinky and the Brain, a Yoko Ono parody causes them to break up (and they even recreate John and Yoko's real-life meet-cute). Mr Show also did a Beatles parody called the Fad Three, who were just 3 photogenic guys in the 60s with moptops who were photographed together that took the world by storm, only in this one, the Beatles exist along with them. And the Fad Three call them a "Freak Act". So there's plenty more hilarious material for you guys to do a second list.
The Simpsons "The B Sharps" was Homer's barbershop quartet story which completely rips from the Beatles story. George Harrison had a cameo in that episode.
I remember this other parody from MTV’s Celebrity Death-match where all 4 Beatles fought each other. Ringo was killed by a silver hammer (which was Paul’s) and George got killed by John and Paul beating him to death because he wanted more songs on their records.Paul was about to kill John until Yoko (with actually good singing) sung a song and brought John and Paul back. Here’s my ranking 1. The Rutles 2. A Hard Day’s Fight - Celebrity Death-Match 3. Ringo Remembers 4. Pinky and the Brain 5. Family Guy
The funniest parody was in Walk Hard. The Greatest was The Rutles (Rootles???). The most brutal (and satisfying) was Pinky and the Brain Yoko. Thanks for thus. RINGO RULES!
Why aren't The Rutles number 1 on this list? Epic fail, I mean even George has a small role as a reporter in this movie and The Beatles didn't all love The Rutles, Eric Idle went to an event and sat at the same table as Paul and the reception Paul gave him was icy at first to say the least, it was Linda who convinced Paul to lighten up and finally see the humor in The Rutles. That aside The Peter Serafinowicz Show was awesome and all of The Beatles parodies he did were absolutely hilarious and Peter Serafinowicz does the best Paul McCartney impersonation hands down!
Some gems here but I always loved Rock Profile with Lucas and Walliams where Ringo is possessed by Thomas the Tank Engine. "I am Thomas's interpretter in life. He speaks through me. Sometimes he tells me to do good things... sometimes he tells me to do bad things.."
The actual alternate reality explanation in the Harry & Paul sketches were that the Beatles never tried psychedelics and therefore their style never changed and they never wrote their most iconic songs and they spent the rest of their lives desperately milking their original fad image.
Не видел ни одной пародии на Битлов. Вообще было бы здорово увидеть новый полнометражный фильм, пародирующий Великую Четвёрку в стиле Монти Пайтон. Из UK разумеется. Потому как серьёзных байопиков и без этого хватает.
I seem to recall an episode of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND in which a group called the Mosquitoes (played by the group who sang the theme song in the first season) found the titular island as a way to escape their fans--but I don't recall how THEY got away and the castaways DIDN'T. Not as good as "All You Need Is NARF", though.
O'h behave yourselves, they all sound like they're from Birmingham - You missed one very important factor in all of this - STEVIE RIKS! - I Thaaaang yew - as you were
Is the correct term Spoof or satire or Parody? Or are they the same in this context?(the Beatles at times already had plenty of senses of humor and humorous at times songs).
Downvote for leaving out both The Be Sharps from The Simpsons (would have been worth bonus points if you'd put them at #8) and the Dana Carvey Show skit in which the surviving Beatles run out of interesting stories about their time together.

And the later Neil Innes of “The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band” fame was one of the greatest comedy song writers of all time
If you can’t get the brilliant joke of Walk Hard’s portrayal being deliberately bad then you don’t have a right to critique.
@@thomaspappalardo7589 I don't mind it's a bad trubute, but it shouldn't be higher in ranking than the Rutles.
@@CricketEngland Yes. Very talented man indeed. He even played with Billy (Vivian Stanshall) in The Bonzo's.
The Rutles rule! Very shocked they aren't number one... and stunned... yeah, stunned... very stunned
Shocked
Honestly, when I clicked, I assumed The Rutles would be No.1 because it’s so far clear of the rest that it isn’t even close.
How the hell are the Rutles only #4? They should be #1 without question.
The Pinky and the Brain parody was hilarious, it always made me crack up as a child. 😅
The Rutles are obvious #1. The reason is they go beyond pure parody, they're actually more a homage that can stand on its own feet. (same as Star Trek and Galaxy Quest)

The Rutles will always remain number one!
The Beat All from the powerpuff girls is such a good one. Also the Simpsons episode of Homers barbershop quartet the be sharps.
the Beatles impressions in Stella Street are hilarious "'ere Paul...remember when we came in 'ere and told the rolling stones they were fookn crap!"
The Walk Hard moment is amazing especially when it turns into a Yellow Submarine cartoon acid trip. Rutles have a great yellow submarine parody accompanied by the song Cheese and Onions
Ringo Starr was also the narrator from Thomas & Friends in the first two seasons
He was also in Shining Time Station.

The Rutles should definitely be number one
The number 1 should be "Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans" !!! that one is not only the best Beatles parody ever but the best musical parody in the History of the internet !!!

The Rutles has to be my favourite.
I love The Rutles. Lol!
The Simpsons "The B Sharps" was Homer's barbershop quartet story which completely rips from the Beatles story. George Harrison had a cameo in that episode.
The Rutles is the best 😅
If the Rutles are at number 4 the Beatles should be at number 3.
By far, the parody of The Rutles is the best! Neil Inness nails John Lennon and wrote some great parodies of Beatle's songs.
Here’s my ranking
1. The Rutles
2. A Hard Day’s Fight - Celebrity Death-Match
3. Ringo Remembers
4. Pinky and the Brain
5. Family Guy
Harry and Paul ones are excellent,😂😂
The Pre Fab 4. Easily Number 1. I mean , they were bigger than Rod!
Mel Smith and Griff Rhys-Jones 1987 parody of "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". "Delta Roger Uncle Golf Sugar"...
In "The Jungle Book" there are 4 vultures who are the Beatles. Very funny.
I’d rate the Rutles higher on this list, sorry
That Power Puff Girls episode should be on this list.
I would've put Stevie Riks on the list. The Rutles (how dare you mispronounced them btw!!!) will always be the best Beatles parody!!!
The Rutles were the best!
The only one that is an actual parody is the Rutles
The funniest parody was in Walk Hard. The Greatest was The Rutles (Rootles???). The most brutal (and satisfying) was Pinky and the Brain Yoko. Thanks for thus. RINGO RULES!

Celebrity death match has an underrated one
Matt Lucas and David Walliams did Paul, George and Ringo in Rock Profiles. That deffo should've been on this list
Homer Simpson's barbershop quartet.
“Hello, Homer. I'm George Harrison.”
And let's not forget about the Ringo and Paul (and his wife Linda) cameos throughout the show.
@@RyanMcKennaGoslingRingo answering all that late fan mail.
Paul & Linda in the vegetarian episode.
The actual alternate reality explanation in the Harry & Paul sketches were that the Beatles never tried psychedelics and therefore their style never changed and they never wrote their most iconic songs and they spent the rest of their lives desperately milking their original fad image.
i remember the BEAKLES from the Pinky & Perky show lol
Who are the rootles? and who researched that bit...several facts wrong
There’s an amazing dvd extra on Shaun of the dead where Simon pegg and Peter Serafinowicz do John and Paul

I can't believe you didn't include The Powerpuff Girls' brilliant parody!
Peter serafinowitz is brilliant and Jack Black was brilliant in Walk hard the dewy cox story "I am the leader of the Beatles"
Surely you should have included their Rock profiles episode!
The Rutles should have been #1
You must check out Stevie Riks.
The Last Tough Customer from Arthur
You missed my favourite: The Doo's :)
Nothing like the fab 4
😂😂😂😂
What about from Sesame Street the beetles? Also, there were the beets from doug
O'h behave yourselves, they all sound like they're from Birmingham - You missed one very important factor in all of this - STEVIE RIKS! - I Thaaaang yew - as you were
Star story is 😂😂😂seen it
number 1. oasis
No goodnight sweetheart
What about Wonder Pets and Beat Bugs? And The Powerpuff Girls (The Beat-Alls) and Minions?
Disappointed they did not include the one from sesame street
what about the American cartoon show, The Flintstones? Fred and Wilma use the "bug music" to drive their hillbilly relatives from their home
Eddie Murphy as Clarence, the 5th Beatle, the black saxophone player on SNL back in the good old days when it was funny and non political propaganda
Not sure I remember Eddie as the 5th Beatle. But I do remember Phil Hartman as Goldman the author as a trombone playing 5th Beatle in the Cavern Club.
I fucking LOVE bad Beatles films..more than I love the good ones
Magical Misery Tour on youtube.
besharps from the simpsons anyone?
Is the correct term Spoof or satire or Parody? Or are they the same in this context?(the Beatles at times already had plenty of senses of humor and humorous at times songs).
Think the worst impressions there was the family guy one . They where terrible don’t think they ever meet people from liverpool
What about The Powerpuff Girls?

Funniest Beatles parody I've ever seen? Oasis.
Lmao
British tv sucks
Only if you ask nicely
The Rutles will always remain number one!
