  • Today I revisit the copper scupper drains on our THREE YEAR OLD building that were incorrectly installed, and was shocked to find how much damage had already occurred.
For a little context, and to see how we got here, press pause on this episode and go back and watch S05E122 - EPDM Scupper Drain Issues & Temp Repair... • S05E122 - EPDM Scupper...
Hi there, my name is Arne and if you're new to the channel, in addition to various home DIY projects, I look after the facilities maintenance end of things at a multi-campus K-12 school (plus a Preschool & Daycare) in Langley, BC. With nearly 1300 students, 200 staff, 5 campus' and various other outbuildings, there's always something to do.
I love my job; not only does the work I do benefit many, every day brings new challenges, which keeps me on my toes and in problem-solving mode.
Stay safe and be kind to one another!

Arrrgh - never-ending re-doing work up there ! Good you had that repair stripping and were able to re-use the copper scuppers ! Seems like a long way to go, still, but that was a BIG step forward and the procedure has been established, to now follow, as needed. 😊

Yup, still a bit of work to set it all correct, but now that I've done it once and know what to expect it will go much quicker.

Concerning going up and down the ladder with tools and materials .. consider getting a decent rope and a hook to rope your bucket up the ladder once you climbed up. Same goes for down. Makes the ladder trips way safer and a bit easier. Also if you have multiple "trips" worth of tools, you can often line up 2-3 buckets and just let the rope down and hook onto the next bucket without even going down the ladder again.
Great video as always, doing it right while still being economical. Have a great day.

The guy that made it should be educated, the guy that checked it should be fired. EDIT: Tjeezus that is a LOT of work...
