Thanks for the tutorial Andy. I have been working on a Microsoft Exchange Server for a local business. Recently, the exchange server database was dismounted randomly and by itself. I was unable to remount the database back onto the server due to a “dirty shutdown” setting. I attempted to troubleshoot what needed to be done using the eseutil soft recovery and repair. Now I am unable to access the exchange server through the Intranet/IIS. Do you have any suggestions what I can do to resolve my issue? Thank you for the video, and your time.
Hmm that’s a good one. It could be a number of things. Firstly ensure that your exchange server is completely up-to-date with the latest patches. Then I would do a full restart. You could also start the individual exchange services separately and see if there is a particular service it fails on. Also try the Microsoft tech community is really good for solving problems, and Microsoft docs is also excellent resource for solving issues like this. I love this helps and thanks for reaching out. Good luck and all the best, Andy.
Nice video Andy, Do you know if there is a way to create an alert that will send a notification (using an external email), in case that the server has not receive emails from more than 15 minutes as example? Thank you in advance
Do you know I’m not sure anymore. Microsoft have recently withdrawn server based training products from their curriculum. I’m not sure if these downloads are still available. Best of luck though 😊
i build exchange 2016 to provide services and now for some reason i cant log in to my ecp and on event viewer i get event id 3002 and 3003 have got no clue how to fix it. also on exchange management console it keeps trying to connect to data base but keeps getting "winrm cannot complete the operation. verify that the specified computer name is valid" error. any way to fix it please?
Many thanks for your comment, however on this occasion this is a technical support call and I would put in a ticket with Microsoft. I wish you the best of luck and thanks again.
A reasonable understanding of active directory would help. If you’re talking about exchange online, AKA Microsoft 365 and a good understanding of azure active directory would help. Thanks again and good luck.
@@indude8791 cloud skills are too plus also a good background in on premises systems. But, everyone has to start somewhere and companies know that. So if you’re willing to learn there are plenty of positions available, I’m sure.
Hello Andy! How can I make Outlook support MFA when connecting to Exchange Server 2019? I have only seen technical documentation mentioning that it can be achieved through ADFS, but I haven't seen any actual fully implemented cases yet. Could you spare some time amidst your busy schedule to explain this? On-premises Exchange servers still require higher security to ensure protection. Thank you.
I do know that there is going to be a major update of Microsoft exchange server that will support this feature, as of yet though I’ve known details so perhaps the technical documentation is your best bet. Take a look at learn.microsoft.com or the Microsoft tech community, these are great resources. I’m sorry on this occasion I can’t help.
