      Yes you're a class ACT for sure!! Loved how you said I even went through Chicago!! Let me tell you which Illinois is the last place you wanna be!! Because it's the last place I wanna be. I was born and raised here but there's a really really nice pop son in law business that's where I went and bought my first G2C 15rd mag GREAT Great Great gun!! Yes they are priced and ammo they are proud of but they do for a shit State keep Firearm's on the shelf!! As I will always and only buy veteran owned places. But I got another one EXACT SAME gun because I loved it that much. As this one I don't like because 12rd mags I hate personally just are loose on the side you walk it moves in the firearm that much. But just me!! I second this as well I can get unbelievably 60 yards every other sometimes whole mag. But 50 every time you're Target is hit for sure!! But don't have neither anymore due to being a single dad of a young 8 year lady. And being in this shit State!! They cut me off at the knees and run. It's crazy because 300 isn't allot of money to me but goodness I can't pull ahead. I really want the G3C now which will see. Praying for the world to change for the BETTER. But yes really cool what you do for little ones. Shows what kinda person you are. God bless!! Know you're in a better state then me lol. Take care boss!!

      It was cool to hear him say the G3C at the end. Most people think they are just a cheap alternative. I have a couple Glocks and a Ruger. I do have a G3C TORO (TORO is optics ready)also. I have to say my G3C is my favorite one to shoot with the optics. I think I have close to 1000 rounds through it and no issues (even the cheapest ammo). My gal had a couple issues with limp wrist but she was able to correct it quickly and now she wants it to be hers... lol. Soooo, I just bought her the G2C yesterday for $250.... great guns.

  • @killacoiler1707
    @killacoiler1707 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    I have had my G3C for nearly a year now and it has never given me an ounce of trouble. It will feed and eat just about any ammo you throw at it; however, I found that it likes 124gr and up or subsonic rounds best. It will run whatever you choose but for dead on accuracy off hand shooting for me I run 124gr. My carry ammo and some of the most accurate out of the G3C is the Fort Scott TUI 125gr subsonic. It performed far better than the HST in 124 that I typically ran in all my other 9mms.
    For 286 after tax it was quite the value. I did do one modification to it right out of the box and it is not so much a mod as it is a service. I took the pistol completely apart and high speed polished the entire fire group components and the feed ramp with jeweler's Rouge and a soft wool wheel on a dremel. It makes all the difference in the world on how it performs especially with somewhat flatter faced hollowpoint rounds. I have never had a feed issue and my trigger is buttery smooth.
    I am going to upgrade to a steel dual captive guiderod and striker guide like I did with the G2C, and it will get a Keep Tinkering trigger upgrade to alleviate the double strike feature and remove a huge amount of the take up and over travel of the stock trigger in single action. I did all these to the G2C and put XS DXT sights on it and it was an incredible pistol but money got tight and well my buddy had just got his CC permit and needed his first carry pistol. He offered me a price I could not refuse and reused to give me less knowing all the work I had done to it. He had gone to the range and shot the pistol with me several times and fell in love with it, so now the G3C will get the same love.
    I do not care what anyone thinks, I had over 10k rounds down range with my G2 without a single failure ever and have close to 1500 down range with my G3C in stock configuration with the same success. I will say this, the G3C has a far better stock trigger than my G2C had and the only reason I am switching it out is to reduce the length of pull and increase the distance from backstrap to where the trigger breaks. The Pseudo-Backstrap by Keep Tinkering is amazing especially for those who have larger hands and long fingers as the trigger reach is extended and the break occurs at virtually where the takeup begins on the stock trigger.
    I am looking for an APX or a PX4 Storm for an OWB duty gun for security gigs.
    I think that should have been one of your honorable mentions because that PX4 Storm is fairly light recoiling, pleasurable to shoot with good ergonomics, and is insanely reliable. They come in around the high 400 to low 500 range and can be found in several size variations full, compact, subcompact, tactical SF, threaded for suppressor and in multiple colors as well as in 9mm or .40 S&W. JMO it is your list but if any of you reading this have never shot one, you owe it to yourself to give it a run because it surprised the hell out of me at the rental range. I am a big CZ fan when it comes to DA/SA pistols and I would take the PX4 storm over a P07 any day of the week. Go see Outlaws review of this from 2019.

      I've never heard of anyone polishing the fire control group before. That sounds like a great idea, but without a Dremel, my plan is to just grease it more. I ordered some G3c parts from Galloway Precision and Lakeline to beef up the plastic parts for longevity and reduce muzzle flip, but I haven't tested out the 18lbs guide rod yet, although I hear it's good. I keep hearing mixed opinions about the triggers, so I'm not sure yet about changing mine. I'm leaving my barrel the same for now, just for appearance and to save money, but I want to eventually try one of Lakeline's barrels if I can get the spending money. I have 147gr JHP but I need to switch over to 124gr because I've seen 147gr fail to open from the lack of velocity due to the barrel length. For sights, I just have the iron sights on a standard stainless steel slide, but I did get a green Viridian for dry fire practice. It's my first and only gun, so I have to make the most of it, but I also love it, so I'm giving it the upgrades it needs to perform better for longer.

I’ve watched four of your videos straight. You sir, are a genius. My son recently talked me into upgrading to an AR-15 and a SW9-M&P. I’ve had them a few years, and I’ve come to like them a lot, but my best combination all purpose guns was a Ruger double action revolver and Winchester lever action rifle, both in .357. I don’t feel any better protected with my fancy new guns than I did with that pair of .357s. I’m glad you point out the value of these older designs especially for people who can’t get an AR or magazine fed semi-automatic.

      Just sitting there paying no mind to anything in particular, and from behind me and to my left comes, "ka-CHAK!"
      Never heard it live before, but I KNEW what it was. My head snapped around of it's own will, and I saw 3 cops go in at a normal walk, the one holding the shotgun straight up vertical leading the way. My friend came out the other door only a few quick seconds later, not as a consequence, just in natural order, and got in my car. I asked, he knew nothing, and we waited. A few minutes later, the officers came out normally; no excitement, no perp. I never knew what was going on, but I'll always remember my first time hearing a shotgun being racked live for possible business use.

      @shaft9000 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shotgun loads vary so much that just racking the slide consistently is often more work than managing the recoil of some birdshot.
      The recoil from a 12gauge 2 3/4" of the higher# birdshot is mellow enough for my 70-yr old stepmother to shoot over and over. The lower # birdshot can be a very effective load for home defense, particularly in city dwellings where over-penetration among tight quarters becomes a major concern.

    I vote for the firearm that you can get ammo for. In my area that means a .22 or Shotgun shells. I have improved my groupings after purchasing a .22 pistol and practicing more often at the range on the cheap. I can shot my other higher caliber pistols much faster and more accurately. Sometimes you need to take a step back to move two forward.
