On the topic of spreading joy, just over 2 years ago, I started volunteering with Habit for Humanity doing home builds as well as a program my Habitat has called A Brush With Kindness which is basically an 'aging in place' effort. We help elderly, vets, disabled, low income, etc. who need help getting their homes up to code or doing basic repairs and landscaping. My work with Habitat has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life and it is also a bit sad to see so many who have nobody to help them. I quickly discovered that we don't just minster to their home needs but many of the elderly love to talk with you and when you hear their stories, you also realize their loneliness and that we also minister to their souls. With the home builds, I call it a form of immortality. The work you do will live on often long after you are gone. You can drive by years later and point out to kids or grandkids the work you did on a particular home. It is a wonderful thing to be able to see what you have accomplished with your time like seeing the walls go up on a framing day or seeing a house with just sheathing in the morning now has 8ft of siding up all around it when you leave midafternoon. Please, give a try. If you don't get an amazing feeling, at least you'll get lunch and free t-shirt. There are a lot of worse things you could have done with your day or worse places to be. Delighted to see the opening- my late wife and I used to have a tiny "ritual" I suppose, of brewing small pots of green tea and other teas, every night an hour or so before bed time, when we could just sit together, holding hands , loving the moments together. 🤍🤍

Surprising wisdom from one so young. You are right that the cure for anger is action, even small action. That is because anger is the result of feeling helpless. I would add that it helps to remember who really runs the world and that that we can only leave the big things to him and focus on the little we have the power to do. For most of us just controlling ourselves is a challenge.

Great video! The 90 second trick is actually something that I have been looking for, and just not finding, before I saw this today. Being too quick to anger is something that has kicked my butt over the years and I have been trying to figure out a way to keep from reacting too quickly and making situations worse. I had never heard about it, thank you for making this video.

It's crazy that you bring this topic up.. for a couple years now I've been saying that we are in the "triggered" generation.. People need something to be triggered, or pissed off over!!!
There are a lot of things not in our control but we can control ourselves and just listen to our close ones and help each other out. My way of bringing joy into people's lives by the use laughter. I believe we all need to get along with each other. The new stance on your content is very enlightening.
Prepare to worse, hope in good, do that you can and let it be that should be. Hard times could make you stronger if you didn`t fall upside down. Thank you Kirsten for inspiriting video!
Thank you for pointing out that 90 second anger issue and how to let it go instead of replaying it over and over. To change what we can change on our own level and in our own self first, before we look for other rafters is true wisdom. Mahalo for that.
As the transgressions against us and our culture mount, righteous indignation becomes righteous anger. But, yes, anger is counterproductive, crippling even. Letting go and finding the internal peace to deal with and counteract the ills in a logical constructive manner is challenging. For myself, Yoga, meditation and exercise work wonders to center myself, create a buffer between myself and the external drama and to give me a strong base from which to act in a positive and productive manner.
Thank you for your compelling observations, Kirsten. I've been keeping busy working with several organizations that allow positive contributions to the community. This off-sets the negative events we've all been exposed to.
Super Kirsten. Great and lightning video I'm sharing it in our Freedom Restoration Foundation groups on Facebook and MeWe to remind her members what can help when forced into a defense situation. You are Graceful and beautiful as always.
Your totally on point , the one thing that's missing with people is critical thinking, and by that I mean not just relying on garbage information that's prevalent on the internet. People always gravitate to info that they feel supports their way of thinking, but I always encourage people to do some research on many sources before they commit, there is too much crap out there. Anyway I'm a gun owner and a hunter, love your channel. You have the power to influence, your doing a great job!
Hi Kirsten, this video really struck a chord with me. I really appreciate your insights. I have been struggling with intense fear, anxiety, and anger over the last school shooting. My children are both school age. One in middle and one in high school. For the last several years I have had to send my children to school with body armor in their backpacks in case the worst were to happen. Last year our school district decided to remove the armed police resource officers from our public schools and replace them with unarmed "Safety Specialists". Absolutely ridiculous in light of everything that has been going on. Since the begining of the school year both of my kids schools have had multiple school shooting threats made against their respective schools. This has caused me so much angst that I told my wife I dont want them returning to public school next year. This past week was their last week of school. I was terrified that something might happen as had happened in Texas. Then, the morning of the last day of school we got a call from the schools saying their had been yet another shooting threat made against the middle school. Needless to say I allowed neither of my children to attend their last day of school. I am sick and tired and weary from all the worry and stress this has caused myself, our family, and all other children and families in our school system. I wonder if this is routine in other school districts as well? And if it is, what does that say about the REAL PROBLEM that we are seeing in our public schools in America. How SICK does an individual have to be to make such COWARDLY, sick, twisted, and EVIL THREATS???The fear of being powerless over such a cowardly act of evil has greatly affected my physical, mental, and emotional health. Which is why we have made the decision to remove our children from the schools. But your video has helped me realize I really need to step back and try to take care of my personal health, put things back in perspective, and try to do something locally to make changes. Thank you Kirsten. I have always enjoyed your talented shooting videos and it is a delight to see you branching out into other areas. Keep up the great work!!! And keep your powder dry!! We may need it!! Kindest regards, Mark
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m incredibly sorry to hear your angst and the failure of gov system your struggling with. Im inspired by the fact you see the real problems, and the real source of them, and do something YOU can do about it. There’s much out of our control here, and controlling an object (laws, gun free zones etc) has continually evidenced itself to backfire and put innocent lives in danger. Thank you for doing what you can do for your children and family, even when the gov system refuses. Brave & honest.
It definitely has been a struggle. When I'm feeling off balance I pet my dog. I also planted a tree and every time I leave or return home I touch it and think of something I am grateful for. Sometimes I'm just grateful to have a tree.
I have my first grandchild, granddaughter! I put the whole world out! We have a little lunch. We put on sesame street, we do the dancy dance. And just play, girl gotta have a little stuff and lots of happiness! Prayers for the world! Grab a family child help parents, and just enjoy a child.
I'm past shock and denial. I'm past pain and guilt. I'm past anger and bargaining. I'm past (mostly) depression. It's not apathy, it's acceptance that I can only affect a limited number of things around me.
I definitely caught that disease in 2020 and it's persisted all the way through 2022. Only in recent months have I started to recover. Only the memory of how I and others tried to do anything in such a towering rage kept me from doing something horrible. Thank you for the 90 second tip.
I miss seeing you shoot. I had to adopt the prase that if you can't change the outcome, don't worry about it. I got screwed with badly by AIG after I got shot multiple times, in Iraq, while working there as a civilian. The stress was getting me. I ended up in the hospital. At that point, I changed the way I look at things. Now I don't let things bother me. For example, I developed a complication from my injuries, Charcot, which is extremely painful. It is about a 9 on the pain scale. This time it has lasted since 4/25/22. My doctor is getting me set up with a specialist. I may end up in a cast on the left foot and ankle. But, I decided not to worry about it instead of letting the pain stress me out. It sure helps not worrying about it.
As someone who had many anger issues as a child, this is a good video. The anger it just becomes hard to let go of because it becomes so easy and natural to be in that state. It took a lot but luckily I haven't had any outburst or anything in a over a decade. Keep up the good work and spread joy Kirsten :)
Thank you for Sharing this...It helps. I meditate on Holy Scriptures. You are such a breath of fresh air. I mean, when I go up into the mountains to go shooting or just unwind, when I step out of the truck and take that first big lungful, it is absolutely life giving. That's how you are. Thank you. Now if I could be more like that. 😊

Anger has a tendency to become a self-destructive behavior that normally discharges on to the people we care most about.. One of the key factors in anger management in accordance to my experience is identification of the precursors to that anger. Realizing that some thing is about to release anger allows me to turn away, get away physically and mentally from the subject or the person that is in front of me and recover. Oddly enough even though I am a newbie at shooting, I found out that range practice has the effect of reducing my susceptibility to anger
You’re obviously a very spiritually based woman Kirsten. It’s so nice to see you step out & speak up to the next calling in your life. You’re an absolute gift to this world & your messages spot on.

Calm and collectively equates to intellectual control and direction. Anger is chaos and division with no positive direction. Great video Kirsten keep up the good work. 😍👍
Wow your video is in the nick of time while I was in furious and frustrates about multiple subjects at the same time. TL;DR, this video is a lighthouse for me lol
Anger and fear are the two emotions that make it most easy to control and manipulate. When people think with their emotions, they don't take the time to look at the big picture. They just act without thinking and will do things they normally wouldn't do. Control and manipulate. Divide and conquer.
As a veteran of the Cold War who grew up hating the Russian people I found out that there were generally it was someone else in charge. I learned to take a breathe and stop for a moment and think about what was going on around me and just be calm even if things were raging around me. I learned to do this even when I was being hit physically and mentally by my those in charge. I found it to be a great thing for me I then found myself being promoted.
Go for long runs and you won't be angry you will just reach a point where you are too tired to have any anger. I also find long runs are good times to think through things, I find that my mind likes to wander while I run so it's impossible to stay on one point for too long.
Media has the world gone mad ! as you said its up to each of use to digest just the right amount Its not easy. The serenity Prayer comes to mind , "Lord give me the strength to accept the things I cannot change and courage to change the thinks I can" Really enjoyed that cuppa. Stay safe.
I am consciously suppressing my anger, for decades now. Not swallowing it, not restraining it, just dissipating it. Some health issues disappeared with no trace, but not all of them, sadly. Having no anger response helps a lot in education of children and training of dogs, also in conversations with parents and siblings. Still, it is very hard to have no anger when faced with stone cold abundant stupidity, and we are surrounded by it. You said that we are friends, but you don't even know me, and I only know your public persona. It got me thinking, are we friends? And my answer is, probably, yes. We are worlds apart, but your attempt to improve my life, is clearly a friendly act. Also, we agree on the whole tea agenda. Keep trying to improve, yourself, others and the world, it is the Way (c).
I let go of my anger a long time ago, even though I had good reason to hold onto it. But it was altering me, and I couldn't hold onto it anymore. I still struggle with it though. Forgiveness is a powerful thing, and a lot of people don't understand what it really means. Forgiving someone doesn't mean that it makes what they did to you ok, but that what they did to you won't control your life anymore. I have been through the wringer and I do my best to support my family and friends that have been through it too. Even though it makes some people uncomfortable, I end every conversation with "I love you". I don't care if they say it back, they know I told them and I mean it.
Wonderful insight on the issue with anger: I love how you laid out steps of how we fall into anger and can become addicted to it. Change starts with us on a personal level; controlling out thoughts, actions, and reactions. And it is always good to know that anger is a secondary emotion.
Thank you so much for sharing. I will have to try that as the world around me (us) become less familiar. To all those out there, including you Kirsten, remember that you are smart, capable, and amazing.
You just echoed my own thoughts and words for ages: DO WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. Don't try to overdo. Let "them" freak out - don't buy it. Just as simple as that. (I have been helping wildlife for twenty-odd years, I've been there - ends don't meet, "if you're a shooter how dare you protect animals", the list goes on)
We can't control our thoughts, they just happen to us. If we recognize that we are the space, the silence, in-between the thoughts than we can learn to live from that place more often. It's not about trying to stop thought, but by being still and watching thoughts come and go as they endlessly do. It's very hard to get bothered by thoughts when you step back and realize you are the stillness between the thoughts (a quiet awareness) that watches thoughts like watching a river continuously flow. We are like a rock, sitting still, in a stream of experience (5 senses and thoughts) that just keeps flowing by. Theres little attachment in this place. Little need for validation. A place where you can watch thoughts and emotions come, do their little dance, and then disappear. I like to ask people, can you hear the silence? It really is the most beautiful sound. And with this insight comes the desire to free as many beings as possible. The desire to help others becomes a driving motivation. The buddhas were right. The flip side of the coin of enlightenment is compassion. I'm really enjoying this new style of video by the way! Great to drink some tea with you!
If a person is looking for reasons to be angry then the intenet is the place for them. Good message in this video. It is definitely better to look for a place of peace.
As I get older, I find myself getting more tolerant of others. I just keep telling myself, "I don't know what they're going through". I'm not doing the Tea though, it's Coffee or water for me!

Thank you Kirsten. I really needed this reminder. ❤️
Very wise words!!! Do what you can with what you have!!
Super Kirsten. Great and lightning video I'm sharing it in our Freedom Restoration Foundation groups on Facebook and MeWe to remind her members what can help when forced into a defense situation. As well as how to deal with the stressed from all the information that we gather on National and global events. To restore everyone's freedom. As shown in my freedom and other playlists.
You have the power to influence, your doing a great job!
way all sides then think. Excellent comment

Kirsten do you realize how pretty you are, and your eyes are just outrageous girl love your videos keep more coming.
Glad it helps, Eric
I live in NJ... Of course I am angry.
I do it Daily & have been doing for about 7 years now But much more since 2020 - up to now to deal with myself & with angry people in my life in a True Positive Holy Scriptural Way to stay Focused on what Really & Truly Matters in Life.
You are such a breath of fresh air. I mean, when I go up into the mountains to go shooting or just unwind, when I step out of the truck and take that first big lungful, it is absolutely life giving. That's how you are. Thank you. Now if I could be more like that. 😊
That is kind. 😌
To quote Howard Beale, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!". 😊😊😊 My Great Aunt told me when I was young to try and do something nice for one person everyday. I try to do that and it not only makes that person feel good but, it helps you to feel good as well. 👍👍👍
Now, go practice.
Breathe. Relax. Aim. Stop. Squeeze.
Second best meditation and relaxation.
Oddly enough even though I am a newbie at shooting, I found out that range practice has the effect of reducing my susceptibility to anger
yup you're so right..its everywhere
but getting angry solves nothing..usually just makes it worse
And I thought I needed your other videos, thank ya much gal☝️
loving your new content! You're a good soul! love you!
Thank you. 😊

You’re obviously a very spiritually based woman Kirsten. It’s so nice to see you step out & speak up to the next calling in your life. You’re an absolute gift to this world & your messages spot on.
Kirsten Joy Weiss Ooose Frabba & stuff, but just a heads up on this troll. 👆🏼
Thank You!!! Kirsten. God delivers what you need when you need it. Haven't watched your videos for awhile. He put this on my screen, when I needed it. I truly believe and follow the law of attraction. IT WORKS! You helped me focus again. My super power is, Doing what I'm good at. And taking pride in it. Just made a beautiful wood countertops for my beautiful lady. Epoxied it, and it LOOKS AMAZING! Seeing the gratitude and how happy it made her? It made my year! Next! I'll be thinking what I can do next. These last years, decade has been scary. I love how you present yourself and share that with the world. KEEP IT UP! THANK YOU! Tomorrow I go hog hunting. It'll be fun. Aim true.
Calm and collectively equates to intellectual control and direction. Anger is chaos and division with no positive direction. Great video Kirsten keep up the good work. 😍👍
I hear your words, but I sense your true soul and relentless kindness towards all humanity and you are just pretty darn great with firearms
Just seeing you helps!!! Blessed be the peacemaker!!!👍💕💖💋
Divide and conquer.
thank you for this video, have a Blessed day my friend
Succumbing to Anger is allowing people or conditions to control how you feel. These are stoic principles that Kirsten is sharing with us.
Joy is the antidote to anger!
It ain't the tea!
Kirsten is just full of words of wisdom. Enjoying this series of videos. Thank you from central Wy
Whoa!
The serenity Prayer comes to mind ,
"Lord give me the strength
to accept the things I cannot change
and courage to change the thinks I can"
Really enjoyed that cuppa. Stay safe.
Thank you Joy...
Love you Kirsten. Will focus more on the now. No fear. Your are right though. It's just wrong.
Beautiful and very intelligent you're more in contact with the reality of things than most people are
You're darn right I'm not powerless! I love your advice! Kirsten Joy Weiss! Thanks a lot!
Wise words Kristen! And very well said! Thank You, and "keep them in the ten ring."
Social media has brought all the anger to the surface and I believe it has made it acceptable to a bunch of people who have never had a voice.
You just echoed my own thoughts and words for ages: DO WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. Don't try to overdo. Let "them" freak out - don't buy it. Just as simple as that. (I have been helping wildlife for twenty-odd years, I've been there - ends don't meet, "if you're a shooter how dare you protect animals", the list goes on)
Thanks Kirsten.... love Tea! God Bless
A message from the heart at the most appropriate time. Well done Kristen, well done.
What a perfect subject and at a perfect time ! I am doing moderately well at keeping anger on low . Love and stuff to you Dear Lady ❤
Amen to this! Wish you'd come back to TH-cam on a more consistent basis Kirsten! God Bless.
I echo Patrick Pleasant's comment ... big time! Big Peaceful Hug to you, Miss KJW !!
Powerful words oh great one .
Thank you Kristen! Good talk with great suggestions about dealing with anger.
It’s always great to see and hear from you!
If a person is looking for reasons to be angry then the intenet is the place for them. Good message in this video. It is definitely better to look for a place of peace.
This vid really pissed me off!!!
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! ..... 🙂
Hi lovely Kirsten.
Yep K, good video. . . folks sometimes forget the opposite of fear is Not courage , rather love.
As I get older, I find myself getting more tolerant of others. I just keep telling myself, "I don't know what they're going through". I'm not doing the Tea though, it's Coffee or water for me!
Words well spoken! I release stress at the range, and always come out smiling 🙂
