Cool that there is DL Bass Control out now, but will there also be Dirac ART available for the current generation of Denon AVRs? This would be awesome!
Watched Audioholics interview with Phil and Dirac ART should be available for all units with 4 sub outs. Check it out if you want to, it is recent video.
I really welcome all the effort that Marantz/Denon makes to give us options. For me personally it is hard to go and purchase Dirac licence, since I have Audyssey PC version, and I really can tune up system good. It is hard to justify 500$ just to be able to check the difference. Would be awesome if some trial existed.
Audyssey has come a long way. For room correction except Bass audyssey should be the way to go. I personally would only consider Dirac if you’re a real audiophile and need real bass control.
Certainly a great thing for Denon customers. But is it worth it if you only use one subwoofer? There's a lot to pay again and the license is only valid for one device 🙈
The quality of a measurement is impressive. Certainly also in the bass range. But I don't like the license policy at all. I will certainly not keep my Denon and I would have to buy a new license for a new device. You could make it more interesting for the customer by deactivating the existing license and activating a new one. But that doesn't seem to be the intention.
I bought it today, activated the license but I don’t know how to use it. It does not show anywhere in Dirac Live app on MacOS. Is it automatically integrated? Do I have to re-measure everything again?
Where you're from maybe - where I'm from there is never a sale on the Denon and it costs more than the Onkyo model you mentioned. The world is bigger than Europe.
@@Future-Theory I’m not from the UK hence the Euro sign…. It’s not on sale it’s the current price in EURO’S and has been for a couple of months, your world must be small not knowing the difference between Euros and Pounds. You should stop assuming where people live and maybe just ask? I have seen Denon on sale all over the globe..
It's not free. It's built into the price of your Onkyo and Pioneer. You have to look at the overall package of features to decide the value. The Denon and Marantz have Audessy "free" by your standard. For me the Denon offered a better choice than the others when it came to what I wanted at an appropriate price.
Hello, may I kindly ask why DLBC isn't applicable in Multi Channel Stereo mode ? Why is there such limitation ? Are there any plans to enable DLBC for this mode in future ? kind regards Michael
Will the Denon get a dirac setup upgrade that you can use with an app on your android device, something like the pioneer receivers? Buying a umik 1 microphone, laptop and dirac is very expansive for a lot of people. Probally Dirac will be worth it, but thats the reason i still use the multieq app for Denon.
Both Dirac and Audyssey deliver great performance. We just want to give owners the option of choosing the one they like best. If you have a laptop, another option is purchasing an Audyssey MultEQ-X software license (see attached video link). th-cam.com/video/-JCeS9ACWQ4/w-d-xo.html
Where do you see how Dirac is setting the levels before loading into the processor? I don't seem to see any page in the software that shows that... I watched the Dirac Live walkthrough and didn't see anything on that there either. Is that possible? Like if I want to see if the subwoofers or speakers are being set to a level that makes sense before doing all the measurements (in case I need to make a gain adjustment on an amp or something)
Why on Pioneer /Onkyo/Integra flagship model like the 505 or 805 you don't need to paid for dirac and on Denon you have to paid for every license and wort part if your receiver get broken you will need to paid again , is not fair. This is holding me back to paid for the upgrade and so for many people as well
i bought bass control for Marantz cinema 50. Problem: it does not appear! i activated the license and it is shown, but no idea how i can run it in Dirac. There is only a field with Dirac live written, not like in your Video multiple options/bass control :
Please verify that your AVR is running the latest firmware. Also attached is the FAQ on Dirac Bass Control. manuals.marantz.com/DiracLive/NA/EN/ZHOBSYmfbpjihl.php
@@SoundUnitedTraining it runs 3.7.3. What i should do for installing? The license for Bass Control is there in Dirac Account also .3.7.3 or higher is required for Bass Control.
Will be adding this after Christmas..multisub to full frequency. Can't wait.. the way I look at it, it's still a cost effective tweak to sound in the room and there's a nice 30% off currently ..
Bass Control verbessert den Sound insbesondere den Bass auf ein völlig neues Niveau, leider ist keine Dynamikreduktion mehr möglich, ich hoffe das kommt noch.
We are currently working on a step-by-step walk-through of the Bass Control video similar to the one we created for Dirac Live (see attached video) th-cam.com/video/yKeWxyyNFL0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=n2_Z6q7m2aj3m1m_
I got it and loaded in 10min :) No fuss :) Thank you! Denon A1H here

Worth getting for just one sub? Should it improve its bass response over Dirac full licence I already have?

What is the difference between Bass Control and Bass Management?can i use both at the Same Time?
I bought it today, activated the license but I don’t know how to use it. It does not show anywhere in Dirac Live app on MacOS. Is it automatically integrated? Do I have to re-measure everything again?
Firmware Update your AVR and you do not have to measure again
Why do Denon/Marantz customers have to pay for Dirac when Onkyo and Pioneer are offering it for free?
Why can I get a x3800h for €850 and a onkyo RZ50 for €1500? Guess that answers the question doesn’t it?

dirac doesnt have a single version firmware that works. DLBC is not working properly. Normal dirac neither. not even 3.4.4. check avforums
Would I be able to get the DIRAC Live for my Marantz AV-8805a?
Not supported ... check dirac website
and why are posts removed again and again Masimo ???

Dirac live Bass Management/control completely kills bass om Marantz AV10. Disappointing.
