    That’s one of the most enthusiastic reviews of a camera I’ve ever seen. Well done mate .

    Thanks for this review. I bought Sony a7s iii, more than a month ago, and pre-order the Fx3. Happened to come across this camera and decided to give it a try. I got it in and within 3 days of playing around, I canceled my fx3 and thinking about selling my A7S iii. Even the new s-cinetone Sony introduced lately, this OMD Mark iii has more to offer, with an exception of 4K 120 which I don’t often used anyway. UHD @120 is all I ever need. Not having to use a gimbal for my video is a blessing in the sky. Thanks to the camera world’s class image stabilization. And that’s what locked me into the Olympic system now! I don’t think it can be charged at the same time while shooting though.

    Superb review. I love your passion for photography and the super useful orientation you have for the gear you test. You put photography at the centre of everything you do and do away with all the brand vs brand nonsense. A credit to you. My favourite camera reviewer.

    I broke my neck a year ago at work. The surgeries and rehab made me think I was going to have to quit photography because I could not take the weight of my full frame Canons. I had a 5DSR and a 6D. I traded the 5DSR for the OMD EM1 Mark 3. I have not regretted my choice. This camera and lenses (Which I have 5.) weigh less than the full frame and one lens. It gave me my ability to take images handheld without lugging my tripod. Truley giving me freedom to continue to take images without sacrificing quality. And still be able to take out my full range of lenses without much weight or expense compared with other formats. I did keep my 6D because it was the first camera I bought new and produced some of my best shots. So far. I enjoy the new learning and fun I am having with the Olympus. Truley a great piece of kit and better and more versatile than more expensive cameras.

    I am sending this message from Hiroshima, Japan.
    I used to use the Olympus E-M1 Mark II, but about a month ago I changed it to a new Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III.
    The lenses are OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm F4.0 IS PRO and OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 45mm F1.8 [Black]
    I have an OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F1.8 [Black] and an OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 25mm F1.2 PRO.
    I really like this camera because it looks really cool.

    It was nice to see some GENUINE passion for a camera particularly a micro four-thirds camera - too many reviews (reviewers) are quick to be critical of this type of sensor sized camera without truly appreciating the benefits it brings. Just a question to end with. The features such as 'Live' ND are they JPEG only captured shots or does the camera record these in RAW as well?

    • @parkcameras
      @parkcameras  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Advantage over G9 for photographing birds in flight?

    • @JoeMaranophotography
      @JoeMaranophotography 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

  • @blindkkj
    @blindkkj 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    No offense, but I do actually believe that you are not used to Olympus gear. Because 90% of the stuff you were excited to talk about were already in em1 mark ii. 20mp, 121 af points, 120fps lcd viewfinder, 4k 30p, wow, even UHS i slot in 2020? I'm shocked.
    Don't get me wrong. I love(ed) Olympus and I own em1 mark 2 and multiple pro lenses.
    This is em1 mark 2.1.
