There are few things you haven’t realize 1) Your heavy attack can be charged by holding Heavy button 2) light light heavy heavy attack create diff attack move 3) those circle on button right indicate how many Focus you charged - 2 circle plus a gauge ie total 3 charges 4) wolf and big baby won’t consume mana, it recharge thru attack - more attk = fast charge, the fastest way to charge is via spinning staff 5) your armor are set item; wearing the same set grant you extra stuff - since you love to see WuKong face - you may set face gear disappear while wearing one
Agreed.. missing ops to use the focus point and charge attack is holding him back. He’s building focus but not using it when their pretty big damage hits

Also the character journal in the game is inspired from the old manuscript published 200 to 300 years ago . The old manuscript is preserved in the Wukong museum in China .
For anyone who doesn't know 90% of famous anime are inspired/copied from Journey to the west. One piece , dragon ball z , Naruto(almost all of it) , ushio and tora , bleach , demon slayer . All of these and more are inspired from the novel that was created 500 years ago . And all of those pale in comparison to the novel wackiness. Even i was surprised by the amount of imagination and thought put into this novel .

He admired the kasayas, the robes the other monks were wearing, and as he grew older he had an unhealthy obsession with the kasayas and had a collection of them. One day years later, tang monk, wukongs master and one of the main characters from journey to the west, went to the temple, he had a kasaya gifted to him by the buddha (i think) and allowed jinchi to borrow it for one night, however this stoked his greed after seeming dormant for a long time, which is what the dark shadow of the black bear symbolises, engulfing jinchi in such a dark flame of greed and obsession. Jinchis two deciples, guangzhi and guangmou, two yaouguais you fought in chapter 1, conspired with elder jinchi to kill the tang monk and his followers, however as they slept wukong noticed they were planning something and took action and defended tang monk, which resulted in the temple burning. I think thats how it all went down based on the lore behind it all. Also im also just learning you could examine parts of the scroll and im on my third play through of the game 😅
Walking down the waypoint in the temple backyard and turning left will lead to the NPC Horse Brothers, which is present in every chapter and is an important side quest

The game doesn’t explain it well, but you are basically INVULNERABLE during the first half of Resolute Counterflow animation. “See through” is triggered when you are hit during that. Time it right and you can negate many bosses’ combo when they are starting.
If you learn the story of loong Brothers . It's sad and funny at the same time . Their Sire (sire means daddy) challenged yuan shocheng (the gourd guy) that he was not a true seer (gift of foresight) but a hack. Yuan and papa dragon made a bet , there would be rain on a certain area for a certain duration . The loong king (father of all 4 loong brothers) was the God of rainfall so he had authority over rainfall so he thought he had this in the bag. Just that day ,an imperial decree from jade emperor arrived and ordered him to rain for exact same duration and place as gourd guy predicted. Now papa dragon cheated to win, he allowed rainfall but decreased the duration so no one would notice. Sneaky bugger. The next day he boosted how the gourd guy was indeed a loser and not credible. Yuan shoucheng (gourd guy) sadly replied " I might ve lost the bet but you ll lose your head". Surely the decree arrived ordering execution of the Loong King (papa dragon) and he was executed. After that he went to the judges of the underworld and SUED his executioner (not even joking he actually sued for personal injury to the judges of the underworld) . The Tang emperor got sick and died temporarily as he was the being SUED. He defended himself and won the case. The judges of the underworld extended his life by 30 years 😂😂. Imagine sueing your executioner and still losing .

Hey those greyed out skill on armor are set bonuses, you need to equip multiple pieces. Also, each NPCs store supply is different. Have you tried going to the Gourd upgrades store? I believe he has a new Gourd type to buy.

If you wondering why they kept mentioning the great sage. The Monkey King aka Sun Wu Kong has a title known as the "Great Sage that rivalled Heaven". The character ur playing carry a "scent" similar, that resulted in the various demons (yao gui) and minor deities throughout the playthrough thinking he is the reincarnation of the "Great Sage".
Bummed I missed the live really wanted to give you some pointers maybe you’ll read this comment. So “seeing through an enemy” means while you are doing your light attacks right at the same time when an enemy hits you can hit the heavy attack button if you do it currently the will blink red and you will receive no damage it’s tricky but if you can pull it off it is sick move. The other tip I have for you is use light attack to build your focus those are the yellow spheres at the bottom right on your screen. As you are using light attacks your focus fills one at a time until you reach the max which in this case is 3 when it’s full you can hit the heavy button to spend all your focus on one big damaging attack. Hope this helps enjoying the content.
A few advise. You're not holding your charge long enough, depending on the number of circle charges you have you can charge up to max 4 circle power. Secondly is your counter strike, during your combo and they atk you can press heavy atk to do a couple, but you need one charged circle power.
Basically difficulty at beginning is what order you defeat those bosses. In mini bosses you got skills that are helpful for area boss to unlock next area. So easiest way is to clear mini bosses and then take main boss.
Nice video, really entertaining to watch and well played! Hate to be that guy but none of your amor’s perks were activated🥴. Some perks require multiple pieces from the same set. For your arm bind, you didn’t unlock Evanescence for your Immobilise spell so it does nothing either. Also how to activate “the fire wolf”’s ultimate move: build up the bar with light slashes, then dodge -> heavy to deal massive fire damage (not the zoom slash, it doesn’t deal much damage and costs a lot). Trust me this is fun! Lastly, try to beat the rat dad first, this way you can get a new spirit!

You don't need to walk back to spend the sparks. You can just pause the game instead.
Better to upgrade the stance so the focus also upgrades.
More focus means more damage.
