Well one was perfectly optimized and the other ran like shit on ps5. One was a really good game for its genre, one wasn't, and didn't have combos and was basically a boss rush game.

I think you're absolutely right! To add onto your point about the final scene, I think it's about if the product can be "seen through" or not. As in, does the piece actually have depth/substance or is it cheaply manufactured material that is shallow and creatively hollow. The kidnapping is the forcing by the powers that be making the company/dev to go through the expected motions of development to perform do typical IP stuff (make merch, do media, etc.) at gunpoint. There's a lot to unpack here!

PS5 Pro especially shouldn't have any problems - yet here we are. Furthermore, frame-gen was never intended to be used at sub 60 framerates anyway. Game Science is using it as a bandaid.
