Unfortunately, necro and bond ce are both, afaik, non-stackable guts. So they won't really work together. Best case you get the higher of the two(necro pre-rolls, so it's actually a fixed number per battle), worst case you get a random one which means on average it's worse than just bond ce.
The real question is, who are the insane people who will make sheer wtf grand servant lists? Stheno or Mata Hari for grand assassin, Jason or Gilles for grand saber, etc.
Dunno if you saw the actual stream but only 7 servants will be picked as grands and they can only be deployed in certain battles as grands. So this most likely doesn’t affect 90% of the game (normal farming, event quests will prolly not allow your grands to have the grand servant bonuses. There is also a chance you only get to deploy one grand per fight so not sure if making supports grands are that broken of an idea.
@@PlushieMistress If Lasengle are going to allow extra classes then they should increase the maximum amount of servants you can ascend to grand status to at least eight. If they don't want players to be able to have a grand of every extra class, they could at least allow for the seven normal classes plus one servant out of the extra classes of your choice. It could be hard to pick only one servant out of all of the servants that are in an extra class, but at least this way they aren't occupying the slot of one of the other classes. Going strictly by the lore, they probably shouldn't allow grands in the extra classes at all, since the extra classes are all anomalies that aren't supposed to be summonable in the first place. Although, thinking about it, the first example in the lore of an extra class was Angra Mainyuu, who was summoned in place of the Berserker class for the Third Holy Grail War, so maybe Lasengle are going for that angle, although I would prefer they not be that strict about it.

But either you can't use them at all for normal quest or you simply can't use them as Grand Servant for such. I don't know why people keep thinking extra class Servants won't be included. Lasengle has said absolutely nothing to indicate this, meanwhile they're specifically including them as part of the special banner rotation they're doing to prepare for it. You can even see some Rulers right there on the announcement banner seen in this video! Anyway I'm gonna make Goghie my Grand Foreigner and drown the team in stars.

I think the thing that makes me want to consider meta somewhat is that the Grand effect is supposed to be limited to specific content, so it may depend on what the nature of that specific content is that may make some servants counter intuitive picks.
Kitasan talked about how there is Supposed to be a Restriction for which Quests you can use Grand Servants for, So depending on what the restriction is; Whether it's Just Grand Modification(The Double CE and any other modifications) being locked to Allowed Quests or Being locked from Use Full Stop when not doing a Grand Tier Quest, My Choice will depend, but I do know Grand Saber for me will be Musashi
Grand Koyan Light and Morgan Zerkerlot giving their team free power mods is gonna be nutty. Grand Kiara having a full HP Guts is gonna be crazy too. They better make Bond CE Guts stackable with normal CE Guts.
.....the Bond CE bit is cool and all, but man that is such an uneven benefit. It just further widens the gap between those who already had great Bond CEs, and those who had basic Bond CEs, and those who have bad Bond CEs. For an example of a character that isn't going to gain much from this, I point out the Servant I'm planning to make my Grand Assassin - Kama, which a Bond CE that would be nice enough until you realize that she's excluded from her own buff. I'm sure she's not the only one who has a patently unhelpful Bond CE, so I can only hope they actually go through and fix Bond CEs for real instead of just pretending this band-aid does the trick. But sadly I doubt that'll happen.
Hmmmm, I think the heavy focus on bond CE effect is a little overhyped, for now. Cause I remember during the stream, Nii-san did mention that they will be overhauling/improving underperforming bond CE effects. So there will definitely be shake ups for the discussion/ranking boards. Plus bond CE + normal CE is just one of the bonus Grand servants will get so there's more to come. My guess from the angle of the devs, is that bond CE thingy is just the icing on the cake, cause new players who join post-Grand system implementation will definitely not make it in time to grind out the bond CE. That said, it's hilarious to see Necromancy CE shenanigan with our good ol' BerseCar and his bond CE or our fav Mapo tofu Priest with his bond CE.
Trueee, team cost will make this mechanic kind of irrelevant except for a few servants who have incredible Bond CEs like Herc. An additional CE is not worth a full unit slot at all. Either they make it zero cost to equip bond CE for the Grand Servant or increase team cap limit when a Grand Servant is involved. Except increasing team cap limit breaks the game because you can run more five-star units.
I kinda already do that on my account: 1 favourite servant per class going up past lvl100, 10/10/10, NP2+, +2k/+2k, all of them level up at the same time. saber artoria, ereshkigal, avenger nobu and arcueid at the moment. Space Eresh is joining them when she comes out for sure.
Can you imagine certain CQs where it would be optimal to make Arash your Grand Archer like literally force him to yeet the enemy into oblivion to remove debuffs for the rest of your allies while he shuffles off the mortal coil. It would be the funniest thing ever but also like. Arash DESERVES to be Grand Archer with what a huge chunk of us have put him through.
@@psykoli They kind of indirectly addressed that when asked if you will need appends and they said along the lines of not necessary (so only requirements announced being level 100 and all skills at 10) and wanted to avoid the problem that happened last year with anni. Also interesting they said you can equip the Bond CE but you don't need to be Bond 10. My hope is Bond becomes a passive effect for them and scales off Bond. Ideally then even buffing it if you get to Bond 15.

I could see that being increased and the additional restriction of one per class (maybe exclude Beasts) or have it handled like class score and one per extra 1/2. Other than the Bond CE being able to be used we don't know other effects/benefits. As an NA player I'll sit back and have JP beta test it anyway for 2 years lol.

But what I think would be REALLY cool is if they took the opportunity to upgrade the abond CEs if you get to Bond 15 for example maybe Herc could revive with x% of his hp or have him gain a heal per turn or something. My Melusine is definitely becoming a Grand Lancer once this system reaches NA. Probably Kama will get the Grand Assassin too, she's the only other Lv120 I have for now. Still not sure who'll get the other spots too, I'll have to wait and see.
My Salter is primed and ready for Grand Saber status. She's the only servant I have at level 100 or above right now, though I recently started grailing Melusine as well, who will probably end up being my Grand Lancer. My Archer class will probably be Emiya, with Caster being Illya, I'm not 100% sure on the other three classes, and if we're allowed to use extra classes, I may use one of those instead of having a Grand Rider. I'm not sure how they've integrated this, but I think something as important and impactful as upgrading a servant to Grand status deserves at the very least some new voiced dialogue like the ascensions, but really it should include a cut scene like an interlude. Just my two cents. I said this in another video about this topic, but while this is probably pie in the sky thinking, it would be really neat if Lasengle found a way to take this outside the game. For example, suppose FGO 2 gets released, or maybe an FGO side-game of some sort. They could devise a system where you can migrate your account, and transfer your Grand Servants over to the new game. I think that would be a good middle ground between forcing experienced masters to start over with nothing, and letting them migrate everything over and having little to no incentive to roll for duplicate servants.
I’m confused. Because why wouldn’t you be able to pick an extra class servant but they are advertising summer skadi, ruler moriarty, and Jeanne coming back. Isn’t the point that they are coming back so they CAN be grand servants for people? So wont it be instantly able to be grand extras
At the moment, my first choice is Morgan as she is my first lvl 100 servant. If we get extra classes, I really want to try Tiamat. I plan on investing a lot into her.

I do hope it's 7 any class not just 7 knight class. I don't wanna go out of my way to grail 100 and append 10/10/10 characters. I rather it be my favorites Edmond Dantes, Sasako Kojiro, Melusine, Summer Anastasia, Summer Tomoe Gozen, Summer Okitan, Summer Marie Antoinette.
I don't have that many servants at bond 10 to get the CE. I have the supports The Rins And then.. berserker musashi(art looper before space rin), abrigil william(used as a support before I got the actual supports) and Herc, because HERC! All of them have maxed skills, though half the support aren't lv 100.

Look at Salter's Bond CE... 30% NP damage plus 30% Chance to inflict Defense Down by 5% for 3 turns to enemy when normal attacking.

@@Harbinger359 another thing is that, solo servants like herc (triple guts) and super orion (perma 2030+15% party crit) can now stack their bond ce with other top tier solo ce like honey lake

My Melusine is definitely becoming a Grand Lancer once this system reaches NA. Probably Kama will get the Grand Assassin too, she's the only other Lv120 I have for now. Still not sure who'll get the other spots too, I'll have to wait and see.

My Salter is primed and ready for Grand Saber status. She's the only servant I have at level 100 or above right now, though I recently started grailing Melusine as well, who will probably end up being my Grand Lancer. My Archer class will probably be Emiya, with Caster being Illya, I'm not 100% sure on the other three classes, and if we're allowed to use extra classes, I may use one of those instead of having a Grand Rider.
I'm not sure how they've integrated this, but I think something as important and impactful as upgrading a servant to Grand status deserves at the very least some new voiced dialogue like the ascensions, but really it should include a cut scene like an interlude. Just my two cents.
I said this in another video about this topic, but while this is probably pie in the sky thinking, it would be really neat if Lasengle found a way to take this outside the game. For example, suppose FGO 2 gets released, or maybe an FGO side-game of some sort. They could devise a system where you can migrate your account, and transfer your Grand Servants over to the new game. I think that would be a good middle ground between forcing experienced masters to start over with nothing, and letting them migrate everything over and having little to no incentive to roll for duplicate servants.
I’m confused. Because why wouldn’t you be able to pick an extra class servant but they are advertising summer skadi, ruler moriarty, and Jeanne coming back. Isn’t the point that they are coming back so they CAN be grand servants for people? So wont it be instantly able to be grand extras

At the moment, my first choice is Morgan as she is my first lvl 100 servant. If we get extra classes, I really want to try Tiamat. I plan on investing a lot into her.

I find it strange that you can't do Rulers when on the promo, they literally show Jeanne Ruler, Moriarty Ruler, and Skadi Ruler. Why show them and have them on these banners if you can't Grand them? Regardless I will be granding Summer Jeanne and if doable, Jeanne Ruler
