I have a feeling they are going to lock it to the 7 main classes at the start and then slowly allow you to access the extra classes like they have done with class score because its weird they specific mention 7 which usually pertains to the 7 main classes idk i hope its open to all classes. i also hope with that they reduce the cost of bond CEs to 0 as well because bond CEs are pretty terrible and the cost to use them is kind of not worth it by themselves for the most part.

Kukulkan's Bond CE Eliminates the only weakness she has (needing 20 starting stars) AND it throws an unconditional 30% NP damage boost into the mix because it's Kukulkan!

Hakuno's bond ce is also really cool! When equipped on Kishinami Hakuno (Female): Increases own NP damage by 30%. Increases own Extra Attack performance by 50%. Grants self Buff-On-Attack buff. (Gains 10 critical stars when attacking with Extra Attack Card.
People worried that this would "disable" a favorite servant from quests seems to be silly to me. Either the Grand buffs just get situationally activated, or maybe it will work like Mash Ortinax, where Grand is just an alt outfit.
yeah I don't get why anyones worried about that. they'll just disable the Grand effect if they don't want you using them in Challenge quests or whatever, not remove them from your barracks.
Two major sticking points for this system: 1. It’s a way of fixing bond CEs without really giving us what we wanted, we want them to be passive upgrades for every servant not just 7. 2. The weird quest restrictions potentially making the entire system pointless anyways.
It doesn't even fix them, because so many are trash. It's only great for the Servants with the best Bond CEs, and good enough for those with bog standard boosts. For everyone else, it's not even a real benefit.
I want to use my Grand Servant Hans Christian Andersen on all nodes....fml. They are never going to make alter hans so at least let me have grand servant hans
@@Harbinger359 actually quite a few of them are pretty good. their issue was never their effects (for the most part), it was lack of stats and those effects not aligning with what you want that unit to do. some remain trash, but the bulk of them are going to get some free flat bonus to a card/NP/NP gen. Jalter isn't going to complain about +15% Buster for free, nor would many others. quite a few are going to get just flat +30% NP damage.

Everyone's talking about good bond CEs, but can we talk about how insulting this must feel to Kama fans? Her bond CE is 15% quick up for everyone but herself.
Maybe not too useful, but David's bond CE does give him a chance to Instant Kill enemies with his normal attacks. That's on top of his 30% extra NP damage, at least.

@@Bismarck9871 I make a spreadsheet to check, and in an optimal condition, as long as we get 1 single more Guts, Heracles can survive for 12 turns at least. Truely incredible. And if the Necromancy CE can stack with Castle of Snow, Heracles is effectively immortal
Another good one is Godjuna's... 30% NP damage + Volumen Hydragyrum's 3 hits of invul makes him hit that much harder and removes any chance of the enemy removing him from the field before he gets his job done. There's also Ciel, 30% NP damage and heal/np per turn
Also, Tezcatlipoca is getting +30% NP Damage which makes his damage output the Valkyries' in each wave, even at NP 1, plus 10 stars per turn, a passive "A Fragmente of 2030". I'll not even talk about Kukulkan becoming more broken.
Because they were originally meant to be lore treats to players dedicated to their favorite servants. Bond CEs as actually useful resources, or at least usable at certain niches over other CEs in that same area, is something of a rising trend that was probably on hold since the days Heracles Bond CE proved they could be lore accurate AND good. Perhaps TOO GOOD for the CE gacha market back then, but now Lasengle knows their money is on the servants, so they keep finding ways to make servants better, and giving better Bond CEs (and adding the upcoming Grand system for using them) is part of that.
If making 7 Beast Servants into Grand is evil, I could imagine Romani being extremely shocked to what have we’ve become, being the Evilest Master of Humanity

For me... All Bond CEs with power mods will be the best choice to start with for the Grand System. Like Koyan Light or Morgan Zerker's. All Guts Bond CEs woukd be the best second choice. The third choice for me would be any niche Bond CEs that offer something unique. Like Kiara AE or Protea. Or On-Hit buff/debuff Bond CEs. And the ones Plushie mentioned, like Alice's. Otherwise you're just stuck with those card type Bond CEs.

My exicitement went from 100 to 0 as soon as i heard it will only be useable in certain quests, which is probably only main story quests, thats extremly lame.
I actually think supportive Bond CEs are sometimes cooler than you give them credit for, especially since you either might want to make a support unit your Grand (Like, say, any of the meta supports) or want to use a multi-core damage setup on whatever story missions allow them. Theseus, for example, has a Bond CE that gives 15% special mod to Demonic Beast Servants and 15% to Giant enemies. Normally, you'd never replace a damage CE for this, but if you can get it for free? That's pretty cool passive support that Theseus can give to the party while he's otherwise offline. Since we're likely to be fighting bosses and special battles with Grands, every little bit counts.
I don't know about the naming system, but permanent bond buffs should've been the case the entire time, why bother grinding out max bond if you just use event CE 50% of the time anyway?
"Grand Beasts make no sense" I mean, if that doesnt cover 99% of the nasuverse then I dunno what to say other than that they'll probably make up a reason to do it anyways.

This is a real mixed bag. With a Bond CE boost, f2ps that don't have NP5 copies of any 4* or 5* at least can now bridge that damage gap. The downside is that Lasagna seemingly already figured out that potential (insignificant) cut to their revenue, and locked Grand Servants to only certain fights (which to be fair f2ps need) rather than let players use them for farming (which f2ps unfortunately also need.) The most optimistic we can be is hoping that they ease off that restriction, which for Lasagna, means a few years down the line. On a brighter, lore note, it will be very satisfying for me to bring Mordred's character arc full swing and make her Grand Saber.
I didn't think Grand Servant would become its own class because they are upgrades to 7 base classes, what I thought we would have was something like 6-star Servants or something like in Fire Emblem Heroes where we have character type with unique effects

Just imagining an epic reunion with the grands Guda has encountered on their journey and facing U-olga and Rasputin in an epic battle! We were already fed really good last year with content, but I'm gooning over this. This year's gonna be crazy!
I think Arjuna alter's bond CE may be one of the strongest bond CE in a vacuum. 3 times invincibility + 30% NP damage. The former is the main effect of certain 5 star gacha CE, the latter is a considerable damage increase. Normally we only use CE with 50% NP on him, but if the bond CE can be added on top then holy shit is this powerful.
Musashi's 3 time debuff immunity + 30% NP damage is quite nice depending on what the Grand-related is. Baobhan Sith getting their own 30% NP damage up with an additional 30% chance to charge their NP gauge by 5% for every normal attack is a nice perk on a very strong Archer. Though If you've got a particularly strong Sugitani she'll give herself and party 35% crit damage while they have evade up, which is far more than what most bond CEs provide Bazett and Andromeda have identical bond CEs that also give 30% NP damage up + 1 time guts that gives them 20% of their life. Da Vinci Rider's Increases the party's crit absorb for Arts cards by 100%, which while I don't think I'd use normally as a passive with a Castoria + Lady Avalon team is pretty cool.
All my Abby's will be getting grand status. Definitely considering Kunoji Alice, but I don't know much about her. I just like the vibes I've seen so far. I'm just a little afraid of whether it's "If you make this servant a grand servant, you can't use them outside of certain content" vs "If you make this servant a grand servant, you will only reap the benefits during certain content." Good thing I have two years to prepare.
Interesting picks I noticed: >Grand Rider Da Vinci would make an absolutely disgusting stall team. Her Bond CE gives the whole party 100% Arts Star Absorb Up. Everyone is critting and printing off NPs for free. >Grand Berserker Arjuna Alter gets free 3-time invincibility as well as the optimal 30% NP boost. Hard to go wrong with that. >Grand Avenger Ranmaru X has a free 50 star-bomb on entry when combined with her skills, which is notable. >Grand Moon Cancer CIEL gets 5% NP per turn, 500 HP per turn, AND 30% NP damage. Would become an even more unkillable solo unit. >Grand Alter Ego Super Bunyan actually has her Like mechanic work how it should have worked from the beginning by giving her an extra stack when beating trash mobs. Now if only she were AoE.
I'm just wondering how many former enemies of humanity can we bring as Grands, we have the 2 obvious Beasts (S.Eresh/Draco), Kama, Kiara, and Tiamat thus far it's be wack if the 7 we can choose ended up being the former Beasts themselves
A good one among the 4* are Barghest Bond CE which gives her 30% NP damage and chance to increase her Max HP from every attacks. Summer Baobhan Sith is also good team buff of 20% Buster up if they have the special trait buff from taking hits. And for 5* another one I recommend is Tonelico/Summer Morgan, which gives partywide 30% NP damage buff when under 50% HP. If this system is going to be used in hard battles, I expect this condition to be pretty common
Well i hope the certain quests that we can use the grand servant system is repeatable since it would be a shame to only have that on certain story quests. I also hope that we can change the grand servant we choose insted of only being limited to 7 since in the game there are more than 400 servants
Grand berserker Arjuna alter with 80+30% NP up and 3 times invisibility gonna be insane. The ultimate glass cannon Grand berserker Heracles 3 guts its going to be insane too. You can literally give him any CEs either give him more NP damage, more star gen/per turn, more crit damage or more buster damage. Well, old player probably able to give Heracles all card or at least 3 Card to have command code that give 3-5 star each card. Meaning you can get 9-15 extra star from card combo and usual rainbow card give around 10-15 star and if you give 2030 CEs, you can get 80-100% crit chance as you have around 30+ stars for each turn. In theory tho, gotta try it out first.
Unfortunately, there's a good chance this may be a story locked feature (not confirmed yet, but it was said that the feature would appear sometime after OC4). So, we may have to wait a while.
Super Orion also gets 8 stars/turn on his bond CE in addition to some more crit damage, so he could also be very strong and more self-sustaining if he becomes Grand.
Would be cool if its turn into permanent mechanic after thats final battle finish, people will have more reason to bonding more servant they have, even if the mechanic is lock behind lvl 120 unit only
While granding probably isn't something recommended for 3 stars or lower, my second thought hearing about it giving the passive bond CE after Herc was Kiyohime. Hers is similar to Yang Guifei w/ 30% NP damage and a 30% chance to burn on cards, with an aoe spreading fire debuff being on her skill 1. Granted the burn is random and only a 1/3 chance but it's another source on top of command codes and not everyone has all the burn codes, so there's an angle here for Honey Lake + apply burn Bond CE depending on where Grands can be used.
It would be nice if we could use this for stuff outside of story like at least for cq's or something. I wonder what else the grand status will bring besides just stacking bond ce's. Im assuming bonus stats or something along those lines.
I'm personally interested for my Musashi, she's part of the category of characters getting 30% NP damage, with the Saber one getting 3 debuff immunities and for the Berserker one getting 3 buff removal resistances, which is nuts in some boss battle cases.
If we're ever going to make a meta analysis of who the absolute best choices are to turn into Grands, I feel like newer Servants have a distinct advantage when it comes to the Grand Graph System since their Bond CEs were likely designed with this kind of potential buff in mind. Looking at the buffs these CEs apply leave that kind of impression on me, at least.
As someone who is missing a few story locked 4 star servants that do not have a rate up currently hearing that they will in two years helps a lot (curse you story gacha)
I really hope we can use Grand Servants in CQs, bc it would be really cool! And yeah, Grand Beast is a silly concept, but I hope we can do it anyway bc it would be funny. I play on the NA server, but for the servants I'm planning to get in the future, and the ones I already have, there are 3 nice Bond CEs: - Draco: You already explained it; - Kazuradrop: 30% NP Damage up for herself, and 30% Crit Damage up against enemies of the same class as her (also for herself); - Chacha: 25% NP Damage up for all allies, and 10% Defense down for herself. I wish most Bond CEs were stronger, but oh well...

Lmao, Castoria's bond CE. Imagine doubling that up with One Who Desires Salvation or Prisma Cosmos. Imagine stacking Ox Demon King along with his bond CE for Merlin or Oberon. Van Gogh with ALL the stars. David would be funny; passive death chance. Add on Hydra daggers for increased chance? Also combine with Shiki (Assassin). Give Asclepius Maid in Halloween. Santa Martha with three separate special damages could be interesting. Barghest would be cool. Muramasa's looks useful.
I would already grand summer musashi, but her bond CE is 30% NP damage plus 3 instances of 100% buff removal resistance. Absolutely cracked for certain boss fights.
I am totally here for the discussion of who takes most advantage of Bond CE + additional CE. Thinking about it, most accounts probably have several options for CQ and farming, so giving up one or two for the greater good and elevating them (assuming it's not undoable) probably isn't an account crippling loss. I also wonder if that means we can no longer put them in our support lists either? Probably not.
On the one hand, oh no, support bond CE, on the other hand, Grand Castoria giving everyone even more NP gain and Attack than she already does, and carrying a real CE at the same time! And Grand -Saber- Bride, adding an Arts buff to her kit just ticks more boxes.

I have a theory about that: I think the Grand Servants will initially be one of each of the seven classes, but after the Foreigner Ordeal Call, an eighth "Extra Class" Grand Slot will open up. The last conversation in Ordeal Call 2 seems to imply that's where the story is going.
Just skimmed through my favorites and honestly? most of em are Eh since they are old servants (Flat 15% atk buff when on field) but Saw Gil's and 30% NP damage + Chance of 10% Crit Damage per attack is pretty nice for an archer looper.
Other ideas for servants to Grand: King Hassan, 100% debuff immune Castoria, 10% party attack and NP gain Muramasa(or Emiya) 30% crit and 30% for 5 crit stars on attack Summer Melt, 20% arts 30% crit damage, reduce ally crit damage by 10% Some that are in the "30% NP damage" category: Kiyohime, 30% chance 500 burn for 5 turns Musashi, debuff immunity (3 times) Summer Musashi, 100% buff removal resist (5 times) Barghest, 30% chance increase max hp by 500 for 3 turns David, 10% chance of 60% instant-kill on attack Kukulkan, 20 star bomb when entering field (because what are weaknesses lmao) Salter, 30% chance def down 5% for 3 turns
Here is my clairvoyance. I can see some people will make their Morgan/Arjuna Alter as their Grand Berserker. I can also see othee people will make their Heracles as the Grand Berserker, the stongest in the world. And lastly, I can see some bizzare scenes where people have Spartacus or Eric as their Grand Berserker.

All Bond CEs with power mods will be the best choice to start with for the Grand System. Like Koyan Light or Morgan Zerker's.
All Guts Bond CEs woukd be the best second choice.
The third choice for me would be any niche Bond CEs that offer something unique. Like Kiara AE or Protea. Or On-Hit buff/debuff Bond CEs. And the ones Plushie mentioned, like Alice's.
Otherwise you're just stuck with those card type Bond CEs.

My exicitement went from 100 to 0 as soon as i heard it will only be useable in certain quests, which is probably only main story quests, thats extremly lame.
Could also be challenge quests and event story quests too. Basically anything that's not farming/dailies.

I actually think supportive Bond CEs are sometimes cooler than you give them credit for, especially since you either might want to make a support unit your Grand (Like, say, any of the meta supports) or want to use a multi-core damage setup on whatever story missions allow them.
Theseus, for example, has a Bond CE that gives 15% special mod to Demonic Beast Servants and 15% to Giant enemies. Normally, you'd never replace a damage CE for this, but if you can get it for free? That's pretty cool passive support that Theseus can give to the party while he's otherwise offline. Since we're likely to be fighting bosses and special battles with Grands, every little bit counts.
About time they allowed Bond CEs to be apart of the servants "passive" skill. Shouldve been like that from the start.
I don't know about the naming system, but permanent bond buffs should've been the case the entire time, why bother grinding out max bond if you just use event CE 50% of the time anyway?

This is a real mixed bag. With a Bond CE boost, f2ps that don't have NP5 copies of any 4* or 5* at least can now bridge that damage gap. The downside is that Lasagna seemingly already figured out that potential (insignificant) cut to their revenue, and locked Grand Servants to only certain fights (which to be fair f2ps need) rather than let players use them for farming (which f2ps unfortunately also need.) The most optimistic we can be is hoping that they ease off that restriction, which for Lasagna, means a few years down the line.
On a brighter, lore note, it will be very satisfying for me to bring Mordred's character arc full swing and make her Grand Saber.
I already have Herc NP3 at LV100 and bond 10. The true Grand Berserker will smash everything.

I didn't think Grand Servant would become its own class because they are upgrades to 7 base classes, what I thought we would have was something like 6-star Servants or something like in Fire Emblem Heroes where we have character type with unique effects

I think Arjuna alter's bond CE may be one of the strongest bond CE in a vacuum.
3 times invincibility + 30% NP damage.
The former is the main effect of certain 5 star gacha CE, the latter is a considerable damage increase.
Normally we only use CE with 50% NP on him, but if the bond CE can be added on top then holy shit is this powerful.
This feels like an indirect ride on the Mega Evolution hype train some time this year, or that's just me high on the hype of it's return in Z-A.
Musashi's 3 time debuff immunity + 30% NP damage is quite nice depending on what the Grand-related is.
Baobhan Sith getting their own 30% NP damage up with an additional 30% chance to charge their NP gauge by 5% for every normal attack is a nice perk on a very strong Archer.
Though If you've got a particularly strong Sugitani she'll give herself and party 35% crit damage while they have evade up, which is far more than what most bond CEs provide
Bazett and Andromeda have identical bond CEs that also give 30% NP damage up + 1 time guts that gives them 20% of their life.
Da Vinci Rider's Increases the party's crit absorb for Arts cards by 100%, which while I don't think I'd use normally as a passive with a Castoria + Lady Avalon team is pretty cool.

All my Abby's will be getting grand status. Definitely considering Kunoji Alice, but I don't know much about her. I just like the vibes I've seen so far. I'm just a little afraid of whether it's "If you make this servant a grand servant, you can't use them outside of certain content" vs "If you make this servant a grand servant, you will only reap the benefits during certain content." Good thing I have two years to prepare.
Let's see if they let us make multiple grand servants of the Same class. if they dont, is going to be difficult to choose between Eresh and Melusine.
Interesting picks I noticed:
>Grand Rider Da Vinci would make an absolutely disgusting stall team. Her Bond CE gives the whole party 100% Arts Star Absorb Up. Everyone is critting and printing off NPs for free.
>Grand Berserker Arjuna Alter gets free 3-time invincibility as well as the optimal 30% NP boost. Hard to go wrong with that.
>Grand Avenger Ranmaru X has a free 50 star-bomb on entry when combined with her skills, which is notable.
>Grand Moon Cancer CIEL gets 5% NP per turn, 500 HP per turn, AND 30% NP damage. Would become an even more unkillable solo unit.
>Grand Alter Ego Super Bunyan actually has her Like mechanic work how it should have worked from the beginning by giving her an extra stack when beating trash mobs. Now if only she were AoE.

A good one among the 4* are Barghest Bond CE which gives her 30% NP damage and chance to increase her Max HP from every attacks.
Summer Baobhan Sith is also good team buff of 20% Buster up if they have the special trait buff from taking hits.
And for 5* another one I recommend is Tonelico/Summer Morgan, which gives partywide 30% NP damage buff when under 50% HP. If this system is going to be used in hard battles, I expect this condition to be pretty common

Grand berserker Heracles 3 guts its going to be insane too. You can literally give him any CEs either give him more NP damage, more star gen/per turn, more crit damage or more buster damage.
Well, old player probably able to give Heracles all card or at least 3 Card to have command code that give 3-5 star each card. Meaning you can get 9-15 extra star from card combo and usual rainbow card give around 10-15 star and if you give 2030 CEs, you can get 80-100% crit chance as you have around 30+ stars for each turn. In theory tho, gotta try it out first.
My Martha deserves this more than anyone. She will carry the title of Grand Rider😊

Unfortunately, there's a good chance this may be a story locked feature (not confirmed yet, but it was said that the feature would appear sometime after OC4). So, we may have to wait a while.
Super Orion also gets 8 stars/turn on his bond CE in addition to some more crit damage, so he could also be very strong and more self-sustaining if he becomes Grand.

While granding probably isn't something recommended for 3 stars or lower, my second thought hearing about it giving the passive bond CE after Herc was Kiyohime. Hers is similar to Yang Guifei w/ 30% NP damage and a 30% chance to burn on cards, with an aoe spreading fire debuff being on her skill 1. Granted the burn is random and only a 1/3 chance but it's another source on top of command codes and not everyone has all the burn codes, so there's an angle here for Honey Lake + apply burn Bond CE depending on where Grands can be used.
They really hit gold with the Grand Graph, everyone seems really excited.
It would be nice if we could use this for stuff outside of story like at least for cq's or something. I wonder what else the grand status will bring besides just stacking bond ce's. Im assuming bonus stats or something along those lines.
I'm personally interested for my Musashi, she's part of the category of characters getting 30% NP damage, with the Saber one getting 3 debuff immunities and for the Berserker one getting 3 buff removal resistances, which is nuts in some boss battle cases.
If we're ever going to make a meta analysis of who the absolute best choices are to turn into Grands, I feel like newer Servants have a distinct advantage when it comes to the Grand Graph System since their Bond CEs were likely designed with this kind of potential buff in mind. Looking at the buffs these CEs apply leave that kind of impression on me, at least.
Barghest's Bond CE plus Maid in Halloween would be an insane combo... I cant wait to try it with my 120'd Barghest
As someone who is missing a few story locked 4 star servants that do not have a rate up currently hearing that they will in two years helps a lot (curse you story gacha)

I play on the NA server, but for the servants I'm planning to get in the future, and the ones I already have, there are 3 nice Bond CEs:
- Draco: You already explained it;
- Kazuradrop: 30% NP Damage up for herself, and 30% Crit Damage up against enemies of the same class as her (also for herself);
- Chacha: 25% NP Damage up for all allies, and 10% Defense down for herself.
I wish most Bond CEs were stronger, but oh well...

I am totally here for the discussion of who takes most advantage of Bond CE + additional CE. Thinking about it, most accounts probably have several options for CQ and farming, so giving up one or two for the greater good and elevating them (assuming it's not undoable) probably isn't an account crippling loss. I also wonder if that means we can no longer put them in our support lists either? Probably not.
On the one hand, oh no, support bond CE, on the other hand, Grand Castoria giving everyone even more NP gain and Attack than she already does, and carrying a real CE at the same time!
And Grand -Saber- Bride, adding an Arts buff to her kit just ticks more boxes.
I think Musashi's bond ce is amazing for this, too. She had 30 np damage up and 3 times debuff immune on her bond ce.

I have a theory about that: I think the Grand Servants will initially be one of each of the seven classes, but after the Foreigner Ordeal Call, an eighth "Extra Class" Grand Slot will open up. The last conversation in Ordeal Call 2 seems to imply that's where the story is going.
Just skimmed through my favorites and honestly? most of em are Eh since they are old servants (Flat 15% atk buff when on field) but Saw Gil's and 30% NP damage + Chance of 10% Crit Damage per attack is pretty nice for an archer looper.
Count of Monte Cristo 's bond CE would be nuts because 20%dmg to enemies with Burn sounds ridiculous especially if you put Honey Lake CE on him lmao

Here is my clairvoyance. I can see some people will make their Morgan/Arjuna Alter as their Grand Berserker. I can also see othee people will make their Heracles as the Grand Berserker, the stongest in the world. And lastly, I can see some bizzare scenes where people have Spartacus or Eric as their Grand Berserker.
