Here’s 1 on the title of game there is a snake eating it’s tail meaning an infinite loop which is also the curse of demise a curse that would go on for eternity and without end and in the end of BOTW Zelda says Ganon has given up on reincarnation which means demise could come back leading to a fight with him and the curse starting again and the sky island eventually becomes sky loft and the circle starts again leading all the way back to TOTK forever the curse may not just be a curse of war but a loop without end
Ps the fight in the start of skyward sword there is a fight between hylia and demise that could be the fight of TOTK that happened before skyloft was yeeted into the sky and then skyward sword link would kill demise and the curse will happen again
I mentioned this connection to the tears of the goddesses after hearing that chime in the fall 2022 trailer! No idea what that means for TotK, other than that the tears in Skyward Sword were in a spiritual realm that was designed to test Link and help him grow in the virtues needed to wield the Triforce.
I love speculating so here goes! In the trailer, it appeared to me that the Constructs only exist on the sky islands. Also the narrator made a point of stating that you will not find the yellow leafed trees on the surface. This makes me think that the islands exist in a different time dimension and that is why there is now vegetation and inhabitants that don’t exist down on the surface. A similar dynamic is occurring underground where the Zonai have control over the Bokoblins and have them working in underground factories converting luminous stones into green goo for building things. The tall structures that look similar to Shieka towers are actually conduits between the underground factories and the surface, possibly to move items or creatures between them. Can’t wait to find out how wrong I am about everything, haha.
This is similar to what I’ve been thinking for a while, I think what happens is a blend of present and past. Botw loved the 10,000 year ago scroll story, and I think the Sinai had a hidden part to play in the battle. Ganon awakens and does something that blends the present timeline with the 10,000 years ago timeline, which turns into the split of the islands with the zonai (brings them back maybe?). Idk, but I really feel like time is going to come into play in some aspect with the Zonai appearing since they seem to have (botw) been extinct. That amd the fact that so many Zelda games delve into traveling across time and I think they’re going to contribute that trend.
Maybe that other version of link is the ancient hero that fought the great calamity 10.000 years ago? If I remember correctly in one of kass quests he says in the Japanese version that he will be resurrected to fight the calamity (I think, I don't remember)
in aonumas gameplay he was playing as toga link and hyrule looked very similar so i dont think toga link has to do with time travel i think he just developed a fashion sense
I like the time theory. If Link goes back to fight Ganon in place of the original link 1,000 years before, it makes more sense why the Sheika monks talk about “righting the wrongs of Hyrule”
@@TheZombiesAreComing Yeah, but the monks have been in these shrines for a thousand years: the only wrong Link is fixing is dealing with Gannon, which to me doesn't seem to fulfill what the monks say
@@dylanjonesSD Then perhaps the Sheikah's wrong relates to using Gannon as a battery to power Sheikah tech which led to the Disaster that is calamity Gannon.
Not sure if time travel will play a role in the actual game but it does seem like there’s a jump for this game’s time period. How else would they explain ALL the missing guardians, shrines, towers, Sheikah tech in general?
Since Tears of the kingdom is going to be focusing on the Zonia, perhaps the hand belongs to a Zonia arch-mage and it will be revealed late game, similar how how the boat in Wind Waker was revealed to be Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule. (aka King of The Red Lions)
Age of Calamity did already set the precedent that the ancient Sheikah had time travel technology! (Which in reality has been around since before the story of Skyward Sword) So time travel isn't out of the question in TotK.
I think the idea about time travel is right. because in the trailer you can see link in the field in front of fort hateno and there are no guardians but in breath of the wild the field is full of decayed guardians.
Pretty sure the guardians that were active were all deactivated when you beat Calamity Ganon, allowing the hylians to finally start cleaning up the broken ones and reclaim the land
@@USAenjoyer123 I totally agree time travel might be in this game tho. Recall making the golden aura like the triforce and the world goes grey as it rewinds. And if we use it to recall the master sword, that will probably at the very least show us the past as a vision or something.
While the time travel theory is cool, I don’t think TOTK will take place in past hyrule. For one thing, the ruins from Calamity Ganon 100 years prior is still around I’m the plains by Dueling Peaks. For another thing, Beetle looks like the same character too as shown in gameplay trailer. What I do find interesting is the reverse time that plays during the bloodmoon, and that we have an ability that reverses an object’s movements in time. Not only that but the reversed chanting in the first trailer. While I don’t believe Link is going back in the past, I do believe some shenanigans are occurring with time (for some reason I’m flashing back to Age of Calamity and the fact that we had a robot who potentially ruined the timeline… good thing that wasn’t canon). My guess is the Sky islands were brought forwards in time, but that gets challenged by the fact that apparently children saw islands in the sky in BoTW.
Time will tell if this is a function inn Tears of the Kingdom! It is plausible as Link's champion ability is time manipulation. "Bullet time" and " Recall"
I just wanted to point out that if Tears of the Kingdom is about the war before BOTW, then the end of the game could be a fight against a landslide of guardians lol (as depicted in the history in BOTW). At fist I wanted to say "but his arm is hurt now", but the resurrection chamber in BOTW could easily be said to have fixed his arm. In order for us to "win" the game, it would either have to be an alternate timeline (oh god another OOT time split), or Link actually does go back in time.
A lot of us do remember hearing "Help me!" in the first trailer when you reversed the audio back. Granted, it may have been marginal, but many of us could make it out.Maybe we should test it again.

At the start of the gameplay you can see a few Constructs waiting around at a camp on the ground
