I am 5” and have back issues. The cage on a table works much better for me. Also it is much better for interacting with the piggies so that I am not looming over them. I saw big change in their personalities once the cage was off the floor.
Thank you! I'm debating building a stand with grids and cutting my own coroplast to keep the 7x3 size but at the same time the thought of trying to reach the back of the cage sounds like it would be difficult. I'm 5'3 and they are 14in grids. So for now, floor cage it is! We will see if I try something new eventually. 🧐
@@fitzguineavisionI’m 5’ and up until last month I had a 6x4 homemade cage. Since it wasn’t C and C grids, I couldn’t take the walls down. My sides were 12 inches tall and the cage is lifted 3 feet off the ground. I definitely did not think that through when I was building my cage.
@@fitzguineavision Last month I renovated it and now it is a U-shape and has ‘French’ doors which means I can now reach everywhere in the cage. Before, I was not able to reach a large section of the middle no matter where I stood.
I am so sorry for your loss.💖 Blossom and Maple are about 1 year and 3 months and Winnie and Clover are 11 months! Only about 4-5ish months apart. Typically, bonding babies to older piggies goes very well. Sending you positivity and luck with your bonding. 💖
Your setup and piggies are great! Just a suggestion though. They can benefit from some wood huts and toys to chew on. Enrichment for them. Have a great day!
Thank you! I think wood huts are a great idea because my pigs chew through their toys within hours. I get their toys from the Pig Room and Small Pet Select and my girls devour them. Their quality is so good I can't keep toys in their cage without them being chewed up to pieces within the day. I love the quality but oh my word do my pigs go through them fast. Wood huts may be a good solution!

How old are all your pigs? I want to bond a baby with my current two sows as they just lost their female friend 😢.
