Is it possible to have a top box mounted when using this setup? It seems that the 3 straps running across the top would rule that out.

Thy look very nice and useful, I would like to see more Molle webbing so more Molle pouches can be attached, the other thing, how do you strap the panniers when you have top case like the GSA OEM Top Tail Case ???

Would these be too big for a 2020 CB500X or is the proportion with that bike ok?

What tools are required for installation of the Tusk Olympus Panier Bag Mount Plate Universal Rack?

Do you have any videos explaining the difference between the Tusk Plate and the Universal Plate and how they install? I emailed your customer support, a super friendly but not knowledgeable about the product rep tried to act as a go-between for myself and the tech department and never properly answered my question. I would like to be able to use these bags between 3 bikes, two with Tusk Pannier racks and one without. So I assume I need the Universal Plate, but how does that affect the quick disconnect? Will the Universal Plate still use that pull quick disconnect to the Tusk racks? Or would it lose that function on all 3 racks? A video showing how each mount and dismounts would be invaluable. I apologize if there is one that I missed

Hi, Sean. To answer your question, if you had the universal plates, you would not be able to use the quick release on the Tusk pannier racks.

@@rmatvmc Thanks! The response I had gotten via email was that it would still quick release from the Tusk racks, just not the Touratech rack on the 3rd bike and I just had a feeling that didn't sound right :)

Looks great. Why the over-seat straps when it locks onto the racks? thnx

I am curious about this as well. Until i saw that i was primarily interested in this to avoid having to run straps across the seat.

@@TheDacane exactly. this luggage looks promising and in general Tusk is a great "alternative brand" but loses some of it's luster if must also use straps...?

The extra straps simply help stabilize the additional weight of the items in the bag. Even with the mount on the back, the straps help keep the soft bag riding in the proper position.

Thanks. The over the seat straps are to offer support to the bags. The buckles are easily attached and detached to install and remove the bags from the bike/ racks. The mounting plates also offer support but are there to allow quick and easy install and removal from the racks. We built these Olympus bags to be functional and bullet proof. After plenty of testing and development, we really like the functionality and fit and finish of these bags. Let us know if you have more questions and thanks for watching. - Wes

Rocky Mountain ATV MC so do you need to use the over seat strap or can you just use the pannier rack attachment? I don’t want the over seat straps since my girlfriend will be riding pillion behind me and I å too box on the top rack area.

I'm still confused by the choice to not make the bags completely waterproof.
I have a pair of cheap Ortlieb panniers that are waterproof with no liner and they've taken drops at 30mph no problem. They're the ql2 motorcycle panniers and were
