    Just saw this!! Your assistant is precious!! I'd like to find a guick-disconnect, small, metal-collar tank bag for my KLR650. I'll investigate the Tusk offering. Thank you!

    So, can someone please explain to me how Mosko Moto charges triple these prices (or more) for products that are also made overseas? Is it the American flag on their website and ultra premium prices that fool people into thinking it’s USA made? At least Giant Loop is made in Oregon. That explains part of their higher prices. I sincerely hope these Tusk products hold up under hard use and are competitive in the market. Other Tusk products I’ve purchased have been great. Thanks for the honest review and congratulations on the expanding family!

      I'm guessing Mosko did all the R&D, which is pretty expensive, and Rocky Mtn. just copied them.

    • @kenwolfe5697

      Ho Lee Phuk I’m sure there is some truth to what you’re saying but the Tusk designs are not necessarily a carbon copy of the Mosko designs. In some ways, sure. But in some ways all tank bags look the same. I think Mosko just saw an opportunity in a largely aging ADV market that can afford to pay higher prices for luggage. My big problem with this is that their products are made oversees when a firm like Giant Loop is doing the same thing but keeping production in Oregon. To me there’s no reason to buy Mosko when Giant Loop exists. I’ve also seen multiple comments on the Mosko Instagram page where people are surprised to hear their products are not made in the US. I’ve also had someone at a dirt bike rally tell me the Mosko saddlebags they had were USA made. I was shocked to find out they’re not too. At first glance they seem like a Washington based company that must manufacture here because the prices are so outrageous. It’s just not true. I guess that knee jerk first reaction to figuring all of this out still resonates with me. Thanks for your input.

      Kenneth Wolfe I think you will find that Mosko products are made in Vietnam. Look at your clothing labels- virtually everything is made in Asia these days for one reason.......labour costs. That’s globalisation and the world has embraced it. MM charge these prices because they have no retail outlets and the market is prepared to pay. There is no doubt that the quality is excellent but I think there is a big profit in the products.

    • @kenwolfe5697
      @kenwolfe5697 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrEtnorb My clothes by comparison don’t cost an arm and a leg so I don’t think that’s an applicable comparison. I agree it’s all about labor costs and those savings are in no way being passed on to the consumer.

    They seem a reasonable product, I've got the Nelson Rigg CL-1045 bag on the KLR which fits well on the tank. It's a minimalist bag, but lacks is a rear pouch and divider that the Tusk has and I like those features, whereas the Nelson Rigg has the side pockets which is good for little things. Not sure about the zip life on the Nelson Rigg because I'm always removing the camera, maybe 50 times per day, so maybe that's the difference between the cheap and expensive bags. No doubt I'll get a Tusk bag one day when the exchange rate is better.

    Hi Ian, do you have a preference of the small or large on the T7? Does the large get in the way while standing or have clearance issues if positioned further foward to accomadate?
