Congratulations on your discovery and repair. Have you considered adding a otter box or some kind of bumper material to rage edges to avoid a future repair. Wishing you and your family a blessed week, gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace
"that was a little bit terrifying to me"...coming from a man who climbs on a ladder w/ a nail gun precariously in-hand, a 20lb heavy tool belt+tools as he steps unto his scaffolding that's supported by like a pole in the ground on each side. But, those allen screws, albeit metric, in the comfort of a warm shop..."terrifying" :)). J/K. Nice solution and definitely a $$ saver.
Hi Donavan, great work as you mentioned that you had never done that style of work before. One thing with a protected screen you can also place a rubber type of mat to stop the item from moving or sliding around.
Teaches us to not be afraid to leave your comfort zone and do the unknown with a bit of risks. Feels good to turn on the little computer and voila, it works. Nice video.
You 'is' the man. 👊 Great video and a smart repair, glad to see you've got your Yeti up and running for a fraction of the cost the manufacturer want. Nice. 👍 As always... great to see another of your videos and thanks for sharing.
The lock for the ribbon cables needs to be released and locked on both sides of the cable. You only did one, so it was hard to remove and might come loose
Good to have a few electronic skills and a desire to "do it yourself." You did very well.
Thanks 👍
