Thanks for sharing! The Trend cnc looks amazing, and the project came out great. Really like the stack-ability of them, endless possible configurations!
You made it look rather easy!! Do Trend do their own software? Also, is there a way of designing something on Sketchup then getting it to make the cuts? Absolute noob here 😆
Thanks Vikkie! They recommend using Vetric software. It’s quick and easy to get the hang of to be fair. There may be a way to transfer directly from sketchup but I just designed it all in Vetric natively
Really like this machine, very tempted indeed . My only concern when researching this, is I can’t find hardly any reviews, and everything I can find is either yeti or trend, I need some non biased owner reviews. I tried to book a demo and there seems to be one trend rep 3 hours from me ! For a company that’s been going for so long, and have the smart bench product being sold by multiple places, these things set off alarm bells . Shame really as I was so close to make a purchase .
Looks an amazing piece of kit if you have the space and the readies. Like your design too, very neat. Out of interest how long did it take for the machine to do the cuts? I've genuinely no idea how long these things take.
Thanks Mick! It took just over an hour to cut out all the pieces which is really fast for a cnc really. The thought I had for the design was thinking you could be putting the cupboards together while the cnc is cutting out the pieces for more
That's a cool approach to CNC. I guess you would need some sort of spacer pieces in the side if you wasn't cutting into a small bit of wood and not a full sheet. Hope they have it on demo at makers central
Isn’t it just! They will have it at Makers Central 😉 if you’re working with smaller pieces you do just put some filler pieces around it so the rollers can hold it down. As far as I’m aware anyway 😅
That "A" lock on the side is very interesting. If it's your own design, you want to get it patented before someone else nicks the idea. Alas, the machine is a tad on the large size for a hobbyist
Cheers Chris! It’s an idea I’ve had for a while now but not sure how unique it is. I don’t think it’s patentable anyway as it’s literally a letter 😂 it is more suited for business use or for a very enthusiastic hobbyist haha
The video isn’t sponsored, I wasn’t paid anything for it. I didn’t have to make the video at all. I was invited down to try out the cnc and wanted to share what I got up to. It’s not going to be for everyone but I’m sure a lot of people will finding it interesting because I know I did.
@Average Joe's Joinery come on now, Trend are all over you British you tube guys now. You ALL have that 18v mitre.....throwing tools at you....so to say the video isn't sponsored is slightly disingenuous
Any tools that I use that have been gifted I always make clear in my videos. All of the tools used in this video are of course trend tools because I was at their HQ to have a go with the cnc. The hammer I used in the video was mine and I bought that years ago. For the record I don’t have their mitre saw 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks Veronica! It’s a great bit of kit 😊 really glad you like the design too! Working on a slight alteration to them for a new use too 😉
Excellent vid. Excellent build. I will certainly consider trend when I look for a CNC.
Cheers mate! It’s a great option. Had a lot of fun trying it out 😊
Great video of what appears to be a Great machine
Cheers Chas! It’s a great bit of kit 👌
great stuff Joe, nice idea. Also like your garden layout.
Thanks mate! The garden is all my Dad’s handy work haha
great video and great boxes you made
Thanks Danny! I was really pleased with them 😊
I just bought a CNC machine. Do you have any examples of a good bench or table I could build for it?
Looks like a well thought out machine, love the intergrated dust collection
It did a great job too 👌
Amazing and cool machine. may I know how long did it take to cut the whole sheet
That was interesting to see. Nice design.
Cheers mate! 😊

Nice piece of design there Joe 🔨👍😊
Cheers mate! 🙏❤️
Magenta cabinets Joe definitely 😀👍
I was so tempted! 😂 thought about doing the inside of the A frames magenta but I’m far too indecisive
Finally got somewhere big enough to have a play with it 😂 looks good mate 👍🏻
Haha Just wish the space was mine 😅 Cheers mate!
@@AverageJoesJoinery you will be in a bigger space soon enough mate 👍🏻
I hope so mate 🤞 the search continues

Nice. How much does this machine cost?
Amazing! Looks brilliant and I'm not jealous at all 😜
Haha I was jealous and I got to play with it 😂
Simple. Paint most of the box black too but make the sides pink...I mean magenta to contrast with the A or should that be Ay.
Glad you changed that to magenta 😉 I was torn between black and grey all over. Decisions decisions 🤔
as far as CNCs are concerned, it doesnt get any cooler than that!
It’s a great concept isn’t it!
Nice bit of kit, but I bet it is expensive though, BUT very good, have a nice day !!!.
Cheers Brian! It’s brilliant 👌 it is pricey for a hobbyist but a no brainer if it’s for your business I think 😊

Je suis désolé, je ne comprends pas ce que tu veux dire. J'ai dû utiliser google translate car je ne parle pas français.

Cheers Sam! 😊
Very good Joe 😊 I'm extremely envious 😁 trend if you wanna send me one I've 100 subscribers 🤣
Haha cheers mate! It’s a great bit of kit 👌 They’re going to be at makers central if you can make it 😊
Simply no.
11 minute advert? No thanks

11 minute advert? Yes please, I need a CNC so it's nice to see a video like this.
