My other love is Loreal's lipstick in Toasted Almond, which I have repurchased for years as well, my perfect nude.
I am 33 and basically given up on foundation already. I haven't had good luck with primers, but if I feel it necessary I might use a tinted moisturizer

Check out “The Ordinary” skincare, check under ‘concern’ for dehydration & dryness. I’m in my late 40s & couldn’t wear makeup for years due to chronic illness & medicine destroying my skin. All the skincare was so expensive until I heard about The Ordinary. People say their Hyaluronic Acid is too thick, so don’t get that from that brand. Try the Amino Acids, Marine Hyaluronics, Plant-Derived Squalene, or Plant-derived Hemi-Squalene (dont use all of them, pick one or two) as hydrators & then pick one of the face oils, rose hip, marula, B oil, etc. & top with a heavier type night cream on top of the oil. Walmart’s equate brand just discontinued my beloved one so I’ve got to find another. I’m going to try The Ordinary’s Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA for morning & see if it’s enough for a night cream. I use the Squalene & the Moroccan-Argan Oil currently. Also, check out the “Good Molecules” brand which is a copycat of The Ordinary. I don’t have the perfect routine with products now. I’ve just started this skincare stuff this year & am on my first bottles, but it has allowed me to wear foundation again. I’ve got to get to get a stronger chemical exfoliator, probably the Glycolic Acid Toner, from them when I run out of the Lactic Acid. I also have heard makeup TH-camrs suggest using a nice concealer & just placing thin layers under the eyes, around the sides of the nose where it gets red & some places like that & blending it in & leaving the more even toned parts of your face without concealer & that is what you substitute for the foundation routine. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m going to when my skin gets better. It works better for some women because you’re not covering your entire face so you’ve got skin like areas where you don’t discoloration or acne scars while your dark circles, redness is covered with concealer which gives you more pigment with less product than foundation does. My most repurchased product is Urban Decay primer potion. It is the only product that lets me actually wear eye makeup on my hooded, oily eyes. I also suffer with facial hyperhidrosis so it’s like a perfect storm of makeup challenges - and with the primer potion everything just stays put all day. Magic. Also, I’ve gone cruelty free years ago but my Achilles heel is L’Oréal voluminous waterproof mascara. I’ve yet to find a CF option that beats it. Editing to add that I love this video topic! My most repurchased product is my covergirl clump crusher mascara. It’s really great for natural lashes when worn alone. However it’s amazing for pairing as a second coat to other mascaras that have clumped. It always saves my lashes when I screw up. I would say my covergirl exhibitionist is another that I tend to keep on hand.
My number one, hands down most purchased make up item is Clinique's quick liner for eyes in the shade "smokey brown". It's my go-to eye liner on days when I don't want a harsh eye look, or when I want to do a smokey look. It also pairs beautifully with cool toned eye shadows. Just LOOOVE it!

Products I've purchased over and over include the creme brule shadow from Wet N Wild (learned about it from you years ago), the NYX butter gloss in Praline, the NYX glitter glue, the Loreal Voluminous mascara (in several colors). I think that the Wet N Wild tinted moisturizer, the Loreal Age Perfect tinted balm, and the NYX Bare with Me serum concealer will be added to the frequently purchased list, I've really been enjoying them lately.

My most re-purchased makeup item is the Loreal Double Extend tubing mascara! It's half the price of Blinc (about 30 bucks Canadian for that vs about 15 for Loreal) It definitely lengthens more than volumizes (and I don't know how to combine it with something waterproof to hold the curl) but it removes easily with water, which I appreciate when I come home late after an event and don't want to struggle with removal
@@TracyD2 pretty darn close! Blinc has 2 kinds, so the L'Oreal reminds me more of the thicker formula. The white primer is meh, but the actual tubing formula is lovely! I haven't tried any other tubing ones because I just don't want the disappointment!

I've repurchased a ton of NYX Epic Ink liquid liners, ELF Power Grip primer, Essence Lash Princes Falsies waterproof mascara, WnW PhotoFocus loose setting powder, and ELF Bite Sized eyeshadow quads in Truffles and Berry Bad. I like having Truffles on hand as a companion palette just for the deeper brown shade to use with palettes that don't have a deepener shade because it's cheap, easy, and tiny.

You and I love the same color of lip products. My lips are too dark for the lighter stuff. Do the Revlon lipsticks have a scent/fragrance? Another lip product you might like is Sky Organics tinted lip balm in Plum. It's close to Black Honey. I also use Maybelline clear lip liner. Works a treat.
@@lorindav5549 Don't know the Sky Organics brand, will look it up. Revlon lippies have a little taste, but not offensive and it dissipates quickly. I find darker lips make my teeth look whiter and don't accentuate the lines around my lips if I use a liner, like the Maybelline clear lip liner. I also that liner under my lower lashes, as a base for whichever powder eyeshadow I'm using...try it! See you next time!

Amin my 50s now and it still looks nice, and improves my skin overall A container lasts me for 4months which is less than 10 dollars a month. The trick to getting better coverage is to use a primer, then light layers, with a damp sponge pressing it in after each application. Use favorite concealer for areas needing high coverage

My most purchased products are the Milani eyeshadow primer and essence's liquid ink eyeliner (water proof) with the brush applicator in black. I didn't even know there was such a thing as eyeshadow primer until I started watching your videos and I immediately bought it. It works wonders for me! The liner works best for me and how I apply eyeliner. I don't know if it flakes after a few hours or not because I don't wear it long enough to really test it (7 hours tops.) I can make a good wing with it, in my humble opinion, and I can make my lines pretty darn crisp with it!

I purchase both the regular and waterproof versions in Glam Black, and I do so at Ross, TJ Maxx or Marshall’s, where I usually find it for just $3.99. I’ve tried several other mascaras, drugstore and high end, but always come back to Maybelline’s Colossal.

Hi! I have that foundation in my Ulta cart right now! I'm waiting until I use up a few that are almost gone. My most repurchased makeup items are the NYX liquid suede liquid lip in Soft SPoken. I have been wearing it for at least 8 years. I am afraid it might be discontinued now because it's getting harder to find. The Urban Decay primer potion, Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara and the Loreal Air Volume mascara. I use those together. The stiletto for lenthening and the air volume for the "Kapow!" Revlon Colorstay retractable black liner and the Revolution Pore Blur primer.
The one makeup item (collection?) that I’ll never stop repurchasing is Wet n Wild’s Megalast Liquid Catsuit matte lipsticks. They’ve always been excellent for me. I have used the Cover Girl lash blast fusion for nearly 10 years! Recently started trying others but still reach for it constantly. Paired with the Cover Girl clump crusher creates more length too
Mine would be Loreal double extend tubing mascara. And I have 2 tips for you to try- if you have another mascara that flakes or smudges, try a coat of tubing mascara over it. Remove like you would tubing mascara, warm water and sliding the tubes off - the regular mascara comes off with it, with very little left behind. Not sure if it would work with waterproof mascara. The second tip is to swipe your makeup brushes over a dry "mr clean" magic eraser type sponge - even foundation come off really fast, and the sponge rinses out easily - a few drops of face wash gets it back to white. (I buy the knock off sponges from Amazon to use around my house - discovered this trick almost by accident.)

And the Essence "sun club matt bronzing powder" specifically in the "deeper skin" shade. Off the top of my head, the first thing that comes to mind is Maybelline's Lash Discovery mascara for my lower lash line. I've been buying that since it came out in the 70s and I was a teenager!! I cannot think of another mascara I have ever used for my lower lashes - that's crazy! But it works so well and has never smeared or flaked on me!! I bought that Honeyed Bloom lipstick on your recommendation and it's beautiful but it sort of lightens the natural shade of my lips. One that works absolutely perfectly for me is Mac's Patisserie - exactly my lips but better!!

Old school tip for softening old eyeliner pencils--sharpen it and soak the pencil point down in an inch or so of mineral oil. It will leech in & soften stuff a bit. Or you can send the point thru a flame for just a second to soften the tip.

Hi Zabrena love to hear what are people's Holy Grails. Mine is Clinique Even Better Foundation which replaced the Superfit Foundation. I first used Superfit in 1999 for my first wedding, I went to a Clinique counter for a mini makeover for make up ideas for my pending wedding and was introduced then to this foundation. To this day I still love the lightweight feel but good coverage of this foundation and still now use it on rotation with others. I love the natural skin finish it has and it is still the only non-drugstore foundation I use, but my most used at the moment is the Shein Complexion Pro foundation which I think is a dupe for the discontinued CYO which was a previous love. xxxx❤❤❤
First of all you have a great personality! Perfect for what you do! I don't use an eye curler anymore. I was losing the middle chunk of my eyelashes. The moment I stopped using one, my eyelashes grew back and I haven't had a problem since. I like Color my World lipsticks. They are really creamy.

I found the Wet n' Wild Tinted Hydrator because of you and I LOVE IT!!! I've been a Bare Minerals girl forever - but that tinted hydrator is AMAZING on my 52-year-old dry skin!
My most repurchased product is Urban Decay primer potion. It is the only product that lets me actually wear eye makeup on my hooded, oily eyes. I also suffer with facial hyperhidrosis so it’s like a perfect storm of makeup challenges - and with the primer potion everything just stays put all day. Magic. Also, I’ve gone cruelty free years ago but my Achilles heel is L’Oréal voluminous waterproof mascara. I’ve yet to find a CF option that beats it.

My most repurchased product is my covergirl clump crusher mascara. It’s really great for natural lashes when worn alone. However it’s amazing for pairing as a second coat to other mascaras that have clumped. It always saves my lashes when I screw up. I would say my covergirl exhibitionist is another that I tend to keep on hand.
My number one, hands down most purchased make up item is Clinique's quick liner for eyes in the shade "smokey brown". It's my go-to eye liner on days when I don't want a harsh eye look, or when I want to do a smokey look. It also pairs beautifully with cool toned eye shadows. Just LOOOVE it!
I used Clinique's wood eye pencil in Charcoal Brown (same shade as your Smokey Brown) for 15+ years, until they discontinued it! I don't like retractables...
I think Clinique makes the best mechanical eye pencils. It's not the cheapest, it just works better and doesn't seem to break like the other's will.

Products I've purchased over and over include the creme brule shadow from Wet N Wild (learned about it from you years ago), the NYX butter gloss in Praline, the NYX glitter glue, the Loreal Voluminous mascara (in several colors). I think that the Wet N Wild tinted moisturizer, the Loreal Age Perfect tinted balm, and the NYX Bare with Me serum concealer will be added to the frequently purchased list, I've really been enjoying them lately.

My most re-purchased makeup item is the Loreal Double Extend tubing mascara! It's half the price of Blinc (about 30 bucks Canadian for that vs about 15 for Loreal) It definitely lengthens more than volumizes (and I don't know how to combine it with something waterproof to hold the curl) but it removes easily with water, which I appreciate when I come home late after an event and don't want to struggle with removal

@@TracyD2 pretty darn close! Blinc has 2 kinds, so the L'Oreal reminds me more of the thicker formula. The white primer is meh, but the actual tubing formula is lovely! I haven't tried any other tubing ones because I just don't want the disappointment!

I like having Truffles on hand as a companion palette just for the deeper brown shade to use with palettes that don't have a deepener shade because it's cheap, easy, and tiny.

You and I love the same color of lip products. My lips are too dark for the lighter stuff. Do the Revlon lipsticks have a scent/fragrance? Another lip product you might like is Sky Organics tinted lip balm in Plum. It's close to Black Honey. I also use Maybelline clear lip liner. Works a treat.
@@lorindav5549 Don't know the Sky Organics brand, will look it up. Revlon lippies have a little taste, but not offensive and it dissipates quickly. I find darker lips make my teeth look whiter and don't accentuate the lines around my lips if I use a liner, like the Maybelline clear lip liner. I also that liner under my lower lashes, as a base for whichever powder eyeshadow I'm using...try it! See you next time!
Ive been wearing bareminerals foundation for over 20 years. Amin my 50s now and it still looks nice, and improves my skin overall A container lasts me for 4months which is less than 10 dollars a month. The trick to getting better coverage is to use a primer, then light layers, with a damp sponge pressing it in after each application. Use favorite concealer for areas needing high coverage

My most purchased products are the Milani eyeshadow primer and essence's liquid ink eyeliner (water proof) with the brush applicator in black. I didn't even know there was such a thing as eyeshadow primer until I started watching your videos and I immediately bought it. It works wonders for me! The liner works best for me and how I apply eyeliner. I don't know if it flakes after a few hours or not because I don't wear it long enough to really test it (7 hours tops.) I can make a good wing with it, in my humble opinion, and I can make my lines pretty darn crisp with it!

Elf Instant Lift Brow Pencil in taupe. Maybe the only cosmetic I buy in bulk so I never run out. It’s dirt cheap, applies easily and looks great. I change hair color frequently and the taupe looks great whether I’m blonde or brunette.

My most, most, MOST repurchased drugstore product is Covergirl The Supersizer mascara! Not the fiber one, just the regular, and in the shade black/brown. I keep going back to this over and over! It lengthens, volumizes and keeps a curl in my 67 year old lashes all day without flaking or smudging. It's easy to remove at the end of the day as well!

My most repurchased makeup product is Maybelline Colossal Mascara (yellow tube) in Glam Black. I’ve been using it since the 90’s and always get asked if I’m wearing falsies when I use it. I purchase both the regular and waterproof versions in Glam Black, and I do so at Ross, TJ Maxx or Marshall’s, where I usually find it for just $3.99. I’ve tried several other mascaras, drugstore and high end, but always come back to Maybelline’s Colossal.

Hi! I have that foundation in my Ulta cart right now! I'm waiting until I use up a few that are almost gone. My most repurchased makeup items are the NYX liquid suede liquid lip in Soft SPoken. I have been wearing it for at least 8 years. I am afraid it might be discontinued now because it's getting harder to find. The Urban Decay primer potion, Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara and the Loreal Air Volume mascara. I use those together. The stiletto for lenthening and the air volume for the "Kapow!" Revlon Colorstay retractable black liner and the Revolution Pore Blur primer.
I've been wearing Revlon's "Blushed" lipstick forever. It's perfect! It's # 420.

My most purchased product is the Maybelline fit me loose powder. I have it in the shade fair. I currently have 4 backups. This powder is an oily girl's best friend. I would compare it to my Laura Mercier translucent powder which I don't use anymore because I love the fit me powder so much!
Most repurchased for me are Loreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer with Hydrating Serum, and Buxom plumping lip glosses. If I had to limit myself to only one gloss it would be Buxom.

Mine would be Loreal double extend tubing mascara. And I have 2 tips for you to try- if you have another mascara that flakes or smudges, try a coat of tubing mascara over it. Remove like you would tubing mascara, warm water and sliding the tubes off - the regular mascara comes off with it, with very little left behind. Not sure if it would work with waterproof mascara. The second tip is to swipe your makeup brushes over a dry "mr clean" magic eraser type sponge - even foundation come off really fast, and the sponge rinses out easily - a few drops of face wash gets it back to white. (I buy the knock off sponges from Amazon to use around my house - discovered this trick almost by accident.)

I don't repurchase much but the 2 items I always repurchase is the ELF waterproof eyeliner pen that is $3 (it's def not waterproof but I still love it, lasts forever!) And the Essence "sun club matt bronzing powder" specifically in the "deeper skin" shade. I'm very fair but this shade is not orange like the lighter skin one they have and is great for contouring too 😍
My most repurchased isn't actually a makeup product😏 it's sunscreen! I like the Laroche Posay light fluid sunscreen. I've been using it since 2016; it's light and it doesn't leave a white cast and it's moisturizing😀

Off the top of my head, the first thing that comes to mind is Maybelline's Lash Discovery mascara for my lower lash line. I've been buying that since it came out in the 70s and I was a teenager!! I cannot think of another mascara I have ever used for my lower lashes - that's crazy! But it works so well and has never smeared or flaked on me!!
I bought that Honeyed Bloom lipstick on your recommendation and it's beautiful but it sort of lightens the natural shade of my lips. One that works absolutely perfectly for me is Mac's Patisserie - exactly my lips but better!!

Old school tip for softening old eyeliner pencils--sharpen it and soak the pencil point down in an inch or so of mineral oil. It will leech in & soften stuff a bit. Or you can send the point thru a flame for just a second to soften the tip.
Oh yes the flame. I remember you had to do that in the 80s with maybelline liner that had a red pencil.

L'Oreal Voluminous has been my go to mascara for decades. I have tried so many different mascaras but for some reason I always come back to it.

Hi Zabrena love to hear what are people's Holy Grails. Mine is Clinique Even Better Foundation which replaced the Superfit Foundation. I first used Superfit in 1999 for my first wedding, I went to a Clinique counter for a mini makeover for make up ideas for my pending wedding and was introduced then to this foundation. To this day I still love the lightweight feel but good coverage of this foundation and still now use it on rotation with others. I love the natural skin finish it has and it is still the only non-drugstore foundation I use, but my most used at the moment is the Shein Complexion Pro foundation which I think is a dupe for the discontinued CYO which was a previous love. xxxx❤❤❤

First of all you have a great personality! Perfect for what you do! I don't use an eye curler anymore. I was losing the middle chunk of my eyelashes. The moment I stopped using one, my eyelashes grew back and I haven't had a problem since. I like Color my World lipsticks. They are really creamy.
