wow that was not a nice day thanks for sharing with us
I missed this one last year...watching it now!
Wow!
Christina; Thank goodness that's behind you. Just goes to show how the weather can put you at risk inn those remote areas. The sign 2 minutes in was really an omen! I am not sure some of the footpaths you followed were made by human feet though. Probably sheep only. Does that mean you really do have sheep DNA?
Well done with this though; you survived.😊
Pete
Hi Christina, very well done, your toughest day yet. I suppose you were due one, as you have had lovely weather up to now. Hopefully it's given you a little more confidence that in the face of adversity you pulled through. Good luck on day 12 and hopefully the weather improves for you. 😀⛰🥾
You survived a wet and miserable day Christina, am pleased you were able to warm up in the hostel.
Thanks God ...you survive walking in the rain ...love you ❤
Memmy and Peppy ... thank you so much for your support!! Love youuu soo much
You're smashing it Christina. You must be nearly finished now.
Yep, finished May 30. On another trail now
Congrats, i know it was hard at times. Now you've finished it, you should be proud and enjoy your achievement in completing the CWT.
I wish i had seen this before i walked that section. I guess i took the same path, including that river on the descent. It was tough. Inchnadamph lodge is great 3:28 3:24 t and such freindly and accomodating staff. That drying room could double as a sauna!
Days like this will make you all the stronger and better equipped for your future adventures.... Like tackling the Pennine Way solo in Oct/Nov for example! Well done Christina, keep on trucking : )
Hahaha...that's right!! At least I dont have to worry about bears or mountain lion encounter or venomous snakes in the moor
@hikersheep 🐻🦁🐉
the right-hand path at the river, (the Inchnadamph bypass), is without doubt one of the toughest sections of the CWT. I broke a pole there while suffering through the bogs and trackless terrain, however, it was also one of the most memorable sections and I am glad I did it.
Is that the same one i took or a different pne? It was sooo windy and whiteout, i couldnt see much
Oh god...if I broke a pole, im screwed. My tent is not freestanding tent
@@hikersheep when you got to the river junction you went left. Going right takes you into pretty wild, pathless unforgiving terrain
Great videos Christina, to show life on the trail, good and bad. I noticed the Duplex vestibule tarp flapping in the wind. I'm hiking the coast of Britain (in addition to other long distance trails like the Arctic Circle Trail, which I'd recommend) and over 3,000 miles my Duplex has served me well in all weathers. The only problem is strong wind and driving rain which seems to flap into the tent even when I pitch low to the ground. How did you find it on the CWT? I'll be getting up there at some point.
I had no problem whatsoever with the Duplex. It worked really well even in the wind. Any tent will flap when there's wind
That's awful about the hotel. Leave them a bad review. They deserve it.
😊 your dogs look like the 1990's TV series alien A.L.F or alf(alien life form) like dogs it wasn't very kind to cats.👍😆
😂😂😂
Hmmm not an area I am familiar with , but obviously the hotel had no interest in your well being in that awful weather.
The hotel was not friendly at all. I understand they were booked but at least be nice or something
@@hikersheep Where I live there is a something called human decency, on that statement do not expect to find it everywhere, If you had got into a dangerous situation due to hyperthermia or getting disorientated in very inclement weather things might have ended in the Coroners court. Someone in that hotel would have to be answering some questions one would imagine.
