G'day! There's no such thing as a dumb question! :) This device can be powered by a 12VDC 1amp power supply, therefore not needing a PoE switch. The WiFi of the device uses the legacy 2.4GHz band. Tio set this up, you can either temporarily connect an ethernet cable to the device, log into the web browser of the device to enable the WiFi and join this to your local network, or you can use the HikConnect app to commission this on the the WiFi. How do you connect to the NVR station ? As mine is hard wired to my nvr and i cannot find the ip for the door bell

Hikvision make it so hard to find the correct firmware. Can you do a short video on finding the correct firmware for the doorbell please
I have the 'B' version of the doorbell what's the difference between 'C' and the other models available?
Hi, the 'B' version is 2nd generation and 'C' is 3rd generation. Main difference is chipset design.
